I love the atmosphere that everybody brings to the shop plus operating equipment. It takes so much trust and reading the other person abilities while lifting heavy equipment off the truck. I would go out for Altec Industries buying used equipment bringing it back to be repaired and recertification on the booms so I knew that bucket truck or digger Derrick was safe to work power lines. I empowered the guys in the shop to bring me the repair list and the service manager didn’t like it but every level that information going through person to person you get errors. I told the shop guys how would you want this equipment if it was yours and it is yours. If I did my job right at the auctions your jobs should be easier. It got so popular that I had 13 bays of equipment being repaired for resale.
Another successful blood, sweat and tears day in the workshop. The ol 175 is starting to get herself dressed once again. Thanks as always Clint and see you on the next vid
I think the easiest cylinder I ever worked on, had a 2 piece piston. You could take it apart, slide the new seal on and put it back together without having to heat and stretch the seal.
@@C_CEQUIPMENT The hardest one was the last one I did. The power steering cylinder for my Massey 230 tractor. I broke a borrowed spanner trying to get the gland nut out, so I fixed it , then made my own heavy duty one. I had to put the cylinder in a big vice, and use a 4 foot cheater on the gland AFTER heating with a rose bud. Crazy tight I would say.
Fascinating set of videos. The video showing you making the rods from stock was amazing. For 300 hours, this machine was shown no love at all. Thanks for sharing.
Nat many know that the way y’all two get along is the way it should be. It makes for a better day without anyones “feelings” getting hurt. Glad to see not one of you take it personal have a great weekend y’all two.

Clint, Have been enjoying you guys video for some time. Enjoy your attention to detail and creative problem solving you and Kevin achieve while having fun doing it. I also really enjoy seeing you work with your son. I want to commend you Clint for the obviously great relationship you have with your son, and the gentle way you teach him to do things the right way while allowing him to make mistakes. I have great kids who are grown now but one of my greatest regrets is being too critical when they didn't do something exactly the way I would have which can rob them of confidence and initiative. Keep up the good work!
You must not be able to sleep either thanks for another great video but one question how do you keep Kevin in line that is a full time job in itself that's
Kevin is a nut!! Y’all have an awesome time working together in the shop. Probably doesn’t even seem like work. Another great video y’all have a good weekend!!!
Fantabulous!!!!!! I've always wondered about your lack of overhead hoists. You seem to do pretty well with ALL the fork lifts. The hand doctor can take car of those "hammer hands" when you get to 70. LOL
Another fabulous job by you and your comedian helper. Lol seriously thanks for the videos you two. Y’all make these videos worth watching just for his commentary. Lol keep them coming love watching them.
She's looking good. I would like to see the new cover plates you make on your plasma table. That's art work in it self and then Kevin can do his special magic also. You're are special the way you guys work (play) together. Great job guys.
Another great video! I like the fact you’re a complete repair shop, you don’t just change parts! You’ve got the best shop and tools I’ve seen on the internet, just need an overhead crane to officially complete your shop!
great video.Kevin sure makes the day go by quick with his humor .i would grind the mushroom head on your drive pin tool.i know what it feels like when a piece brakes off and hits you.
After Watching you and the Dirt Experts... IF I was staring out in excavating, I think I would get a pickup truck trailer able track loader and 160+ Excavator to start out!👏🏽 👍🏼☺️
From a mechanical service engineering point you need to have some of the intake air into the cabinet to blows over the window to help keep clean. I used to love those type of engineering projects. 👍👍👍
When I repacked cylinders I all ways put white lithium grease on ever thing so it would slide back together . Sig tight cylinders I started piston in barrel ,picked up barrel and shaft ,piston and dropped them together so piston would slide together . Worked good . Used lots of grease. That peace that was flat work grease into it and it should round out .
You guys really inspire me to do more work on my equipment. As a guy who now has constant ringing in one ear, I sure wish I had used hearing protection more. Hearing damage is cumulative so especially for the young its important to get used to wearing hearing protection. Crawling off my stump now. Thanks for sharing with us!
A little hard to tell for sure since you didn’t show to much detail on that point, but looked like you put the backup ring on the wrong side of the outer glad oring.

Hi from uk guys 👋👍 what a long haul this one has been just waiting for parts😱 but pleased shes coming together now 👍 only minimal nuts and bolts but I hate long jobs when work on cars in spare time cos I always struggle to find out where some of the pices of the puzzle live bit might take 10 mins looking for certain nuts and bolts to locate but it just mounts up to be like a hour or hour and half looking at the mess😂🤔😂 but good job make someone a a awesome addition 👌 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
Was station at tyndall afb in 1993.had a new bulldozer setting in back of the shop. Probably a 90 to 93. I am not sure. When they ordered it.someone messed up the paper work. Instead of checking for tracks. They got a wheel one instead. The air force ate it. Decide to salvage it. They were trying to ask if the city county or state wanted it. No one did.
Watching you drive that pin out and seeing the rollover of the steel on the end of the tool being hit reminded me of a situation where the rolled over steel broke off and flew like a piece of shrapnel. It entered one's leg, lodging so close to the main artery it couldn't be removed. Cut that drive pin's rollover off for safety.
Have y’all ever thought about using STP oil additive on your seals before installing the rod in the barrel? I started using that, instead of grease, and it has made a lot less struggle for me with those tight seals and wear rings. I enjoy watching the videos. Keep em coming fellas.
