howdy Anthony, another way to solve it if you prefer the chuck on the left is to reverse the wiring on the stepper motor. if you look in the manual there is 4 wires on screw terminals labeled A+, A-,B+,B- if you switch A and B, B+,B-,A+,A- it will switch the rotation direction. you want A+ to turn the top of the part towards the front of the machine. the reason flipping the image top to bottom didn't work is it doesn't change the A direction, A+ is still turning the wrong way. to do that you have to flip your image around the A zero axis so the axis is working in a negative direction from zero. --- your 50mm block looks great!

Hi thanks for the info I have tried to flip my jaws no luck. I did some 60mm sprockets for some one the other day in 12mm plywood with a v bit using a 25mm plug on the chuck end worked great

@@Tonys.Top.Tips.Workshop what issues did you have flipping the jaws ? I have it on order but haven't received it yet, most these work by simply loosening chuck and one jaw at a time will fall out , these should be numbered with matching numbers on chuck , if not use a marker , first one to fall out would be number 4 and last to fall out is number 1 , flip jaws and start with number one and tighten chuck till first jaw bites , continue this process till all four are installed , mine won't get here in time by this weekend but should be able to verify by next weekend .

@@t77chevy Hi thanks for your great info I have been in the workshop today and found that when I open the jaws to the limit it hits a point where I really have to put some force on the levers. This is what has stopped me from reversing them. So I persisted with it back and foreword, then it moved I thought I had broken it, when I looked I had what looked like a small piece of swarf that had come out of the first jaw. This is what must have been stopping it and convincing me you could not reverse them. They all then came out and I could put them in the other way. Thanks for your help I would have just left it if it had not been for your instructions. cheers Tony
