I mean it been 3 years now so now one of my local grocery store actually have few charging port which is convenient and my local Walmart got some spots for every made EV to charge there while shopping but I’m hoping one day my local Walmart would take small half of the parking lot to add more stalls for EV owners to Park there and shop because it does get crowded and only spot to park is to park little bit further.

Just seen one towed away on channel 4 wdiv jan 23 11pm news. Apparantly in ice conditions the battery life suddenly goes to nothing. This one died blocking the on ramp of freeway. Owner was left in the middle of freeway on ramp traffic in dangerous weather conditions. Luckily nobody plowed into him as he sat precariously blocking traffic.
He must not have had enough charge to begin with. I got the 100kwh battery for reasons like this. Thats super dangerous and I ALWAYS keep the charge above 150 miles as a buffer.
All I can afford a new model X my wife and I just now purchased a 2016 Model X 75D. It has 90,000 Mi on it, one owner, no accidents and is in impeccable condition. $25k OTD including TLR. I think we found a pretty good deal. We have never owned an electric vehicle and decided to test drive it Tesla Model 3 which we were impressed with. We started to look around and found the model X for comparable price to the 3. Why not? Best part about it is this is located 1 mi from our house😂.
Only problem for me is what do I do on long trips like if I don’t find a charging station and if I do I don’t like waiting a hour to charge it ... but everything other than that the car is the best for its price

Blocked charges is a growing problem ... people on trips are finding it hard to find an open charger while away from home. This problem will grow and may start to sway people away from the EV. I suggest you start a campaign where your EV owners petition their state legislator for a $25 fine for blocking each charger where half the fine goes to local police.
That's true. With a lot of acceleration resources, you have more safety because you're able to escape dangerous situations faster compared to normal cars. This could for example help in situations like overtaking and at a train crossing etc. That's the main reason why I enjoy driving a car with some extra horses. Of course, it's also fun from time to time.

There is another big benefit that you could have mentioned but it doesn't apply to everyone. If you're a business owner and use a vehicle for your business you can realize tax and operating benefits that can can make the Model X a very wise investment. And that's accounting for the fact that the initial upfront purchase investment of a Model X might be more than a similar class ICE vehicle. For example because the Model X is rated at a gross vehicle weight of 6,500 to 6,800 pounds it qualifies for substantial IRS section 179 tax deductions. And if you use the vehicle for at least 50% business you can expense mileage or a portion of or even all of your lease or loan payments. Add to that equation the fact that a model X is substantially cheaper to operate than a similar class gas guzzling SUV or pickup truck it can make good economic business sense to swap an ICE vehicle for an EV like the Model X. The key here is to get a good CPA or qualified tax professional to show you how to take advantage of all the business related tax write offs you're legally entitled to which can be very substantial. I've been reading many stories lately of smart business owners doing just that and not just with a Model X but also increasingly many Model 3 owners as well (and to a lesser extent other EVS) allowing owners to realize substantial savings by claiming their EV for business related expense write-offs.
With a start price of €116000 / $132000 there is no way on earth I will spend that amount on this type of car. Even if I would have the money I can buy a Lexus, Mercedes, Audi, BMW or any other brand.
To me the issue is that it's an electric car I was have the feasibility of gasing a car up in like 5 min and then heading out. I hate that I have to wait like 40 mins for a recharge. And also in Canada it removes the possibility of driving where ever u want so it is kinda shit...

It does not do too bad in the snow, my main concern is the tires because the stock tires they give you are all seasons/off-road… Not dedicated winter… I would highly highly recommend getting winter tires for any vehicle that you own especially Teslas.
Any car needs snow tires if they live in a colder climate. I drive a Volvo V50 and every winter put snow tires on. It's a front wheel drive car and does well IF I have snow tires. Yes, AWD to need them.
Tesla’s are really cool. My mom just bought a new Nissan Rouge and it’s really nice. Superb handling and the interior is pretty nice. Especially that we just upgraded from a 2012 Camry.
