Hello and thank you from 2024 and france. Looks like I will have to take the radiator and all off to get the cUb started. Took the Governor off to clean the shaft up and I must have turned the engine over as I moved the fan blades out of the way. Just told me al I need( I hope !) All the best .
When installing the distributor, I said set at 1 o clock position. Realize that’s misleading. It should be at #1 _but put cap on and mark center of where wire would be on distributor. That’s where you put on high lobe, set to 20 thousandth and install distributor. Hope I didn’t confuse anyone.
hey thanks for video. im struggling with setting up the timing on my super a. I've tried to follow the shop manual and owners manual and am, just not certain im clear on it. I get everything except what position to have the arm that rides on the cam. I understand that the rotor should point to #1cylinder on cap. but does it need to be on the cam lobe (points open) or should the points be closed. it seems that it can actually point in that direction either way. thanks
Sorry, I don’t go on the you tube much, just loaded to try and help those not knowing how to do cub timing. I see it’s been a month …. Hopefully you got it by now.😅. With all in time, points will be closed. Then turn distributor till the just start to open. Lock down. But again - probably got it by now.
