Why not take off the goofy-ass mask for the final cutscene? Lots of storytelling is done through P's facial emotions in that scene, literally missing out the part where he cries and Geppetto realizes he's not a puppet anymore because of it
Just a heads up y’all, this is the best and true ending and P does NOT die. There is tons of after game dialogue and letters mentioning you and your triumph/new life if you don’t start NG+ right away. Also the masks ruins kind of a big deal of this cutscene, P sheds a tear which is the final confirmation that P fully became human.
For those that dont know the Nameless Puppet is a puppet made out of the actual body of Gepeto's son it was his first attempt at reviving Carlo but it failed.
For those who are in doubt, Pinocchio doesn't die at the end, he twitches right at the end, he just passed tf out, that's also why Sophia smiles at him
@@Ch50304 there's also the fact that if you don't start ng+ you'll get several dialogues after the final boss in the hotel and a letter from Sophia, confirming that pinocchio didn't die
@@juliohairmanriquecampos2740I think he will be human. With the Ergo that his dad was talking about , I’m guessing he brought Sophia back. (Guessing)
The sequel's going to be Wizard of Oz. Dorothy fighting corrupted Munchkins, Flying Monkeys, Possessed Trees that do worse than throw fruit and smack you with their branches, the Wicked Witch of the West, and possibly a throwdown with the man behind the curtain himself, the Master of Oz, and possibly in Souls-like fashion, a heartbreaking showdown with the Scarecrow who desires a brain, the Tin Man who desires a heart, and the Cowardly Lion who desires courage. This is going to be awesome and I am looking forward to where this series goes.
Yea when I saw the glimpse of Dorothy I was like wtf that's cool. God I hope this game sells well enough for them to actually make the sequel. This turned out to be one of my favorite games. The level design, the cool looking environments, lore, combat, everything.
My guess is that Pinocchio will play the part of the Tin Man who desires a heart - one he can truly call his own, rather than one borrowed from another.
The mask obscures a key part of this scene as the reason Geppetto says he is sorry is because P starts to cry showing he is human and is his son. In the other version of this scene, where P mainly tells truths, P will not cry and Geppetto instead will call him a worthless puppet.
Basically needs you to get high enough humanity before giving peace too Sophia, Basically if humanity is too low are locked into real boy ending, letting Sophia live or not having high enough humanity when giving peace gives free from the puppet strings, while high humanity and peace to Sophia gives Rise of P ending Lies are one of the bigs way to raise it but not the only one
I love how I’m the fight you can hear bits and pieces of dialogue form other characters cheering Pinocchio on and encourage him. It feels as the more humanity Pinocchio gains the more meaningful those words and the time spent with those people become making him more and more human.
Hearing the voices of all the npcs you meet is what I wished happened at the second phase of the final boss of Elden Ring, and I applaud this game for reaching into my mind and doing that exact idea, so sweet.
I love how after the puppet loses its head, somehow, it gained an ego and weather out of fear of dying and failing Geppetto, jealousy of not being the favorite, or a confused rage being awakened into this world of chaos, he goes for Pinocchio’s heart even though Geppetto just wanted him to knock Pinocchio out. The moment you knock him into round 2, you untether him, causing him to believe he’s the real boy and the real son, not Pinocchio. That’s some deep writing there. Show, don’t tell, just how we like it!
I think the hatred comes from a combination of the Ergo of the citizens of Krat finally realizing who the architect of their murders was, and all the times Pinocchio slaughtered a creature with Ergo and didn't manage to harvest all of it. Murder was the common theme of all Ergo, and about two-thirds of it can be contributed to the two people in that chamber.

I love Howell’s voice acting in this finale. He goes from maniacally ecstatic and desperate, to bitterly writing you off as another resource that he has to destroy to get what he wants. The reveal of the hands is also crazy. Brings a whole new meaning to “ the kid gloves are coming off”
This ending is so sweet, so happy I got it otherwise I would've been upset! However they really should've made it so there's no mask regardless of what you have equipped...the whole point is that Geppetto notices a tear rolling down P's cheek!
Ok, so I told the truth my second play through and at the end Geppetto while he’s dying says “I knew you were a worthless puppet” and then dies. I chose to not put Sophia to rest and you don’t get that ending with her. It’s very neat seeing the differences in story depending on the choices

Holy shit just beat the nameless puppet at NG+ big pain in the ass. First form you get used to it after a few tries but his second form i almost threw my controller a few times. Ergo is kinda like a soul so i'm pretty sure that scene at the end is pinnoochio putting her ergo or soul inside of a puppet, therefore sacrificing himself to bring her back in a puppet body.
@@marcelomachado5677 He didn't die. He simply returned her Ergo back to Sophia and passed out. If you go back to Geppeto's table you'll see a letter from Sophia thanking you for what you did.
Nameless puppet was the first puppet that Geppeto made, it wasn’t released or anything due to it’s unstable nature, the reason it turned into Carlo was because P accumulated a lot of Ergo and got the hand of god
I have been interested in Lies of P since its initial announcement, following updates as they would come out. Recently I watched some reviews, the weapons showcase from Sony's State of Play but generally I have been trying to avoid spoilers and go in blind. UA-cam obviously sees my interest and serves more of the same content but since I dont want to mark 'Lies Of P' content as Not Interested as I would like to see more of it, once I start playing, my only option is to mark the vid as Dont Recommend Channel to avoid spoiler. This will sadly cause UA-cam to stop serving content from this channel in the future. Probably my fault for not getting early acces but sure I am not alone.
To get the rise of p ending, you need to collect at least 6-8 records (the more the better) at least - as you’ll need this to max your humanity points. Lie throughout the entire game. When you activate the stargazer just before this. Go back to hotel - listen to all the records. COMPLETELY! So it gives you humanity points. Then go to gepetto’s office and interact with the portait you found after the 1st black rabbithood fight. It’s nose should be now long enough to be interacted with. This is a special weapon (called *something* lie. Think it was ‘Perfect Lie’) Once you have this, go back to this scene. Refuse your heart. Kill boss. And there you have it. Don’t forget to go back to the hotel after and not start your NG+. Play the piano for an achievement and then read the letter on gepetto’s desk to get the achievement for completing Sophia’s story.
And, yes, this is the first ending I went with. Now halfway through my ‘truth’ playthrough. Scaling for NG+ is pretty decent. You could get the ‘Become a Boy - They all lived happily ever after’ ending too. If you know how to cloud save on your PS5 or backup a save on your PC. Once at the stargazer, start the cutscene and give your heart (lie playthrough) to get this ending. Reload the backup/cloud save. And then go for the ‘Rise of P’ ending.
Oh and for the last ending - ‘Puppet freed from the strings’: Do a ‘Truth’ playthrough to stay puppet-like. Refuse to kill Sophia. Tell Simon you liberated her. Refuse giving your heart. Kill boss.
@@Regianldo56 You are awesome!! Thanks for all the explanation. So you can technically watch the real-ending in the first go then (I thought it was impossible since it's hard to collect all the records in the first go!!) So far, the game is just simply brilliant! Difficult but it's a true masterpiece. I don't even know how some people have already finished the game.
so One question the theme song that plays when P discombobulated the nameless puppet's heart. What is it, ive been trying to find it. Or is it just an offshoot sound bcz if so that's sad
fantastic game, honestly the only thing i hate is how the parry system works in this game, the fact you have to hold the button long enough just to generate the is stupid design choice, i get they wanted to make it difficult but come on.

and besides, I glad that you got this ending. everything is perfect. geppetto isn't talking bad to pinocchio like the other ending (something like" I know it... you're just useless puppet"). here he's just says goodbye to us instead, it's kinda make sense for someone who willing to die to protect his son. (while the other ending. I still don't understand why did he block the sword for pinocchio if he thought that pinocchio is Just a useless puppet!?!? )and pinocchio also looking sad when geppetto is gone as well. while in the other version. not only geppetto insult pinocchio. but pinocchio also looking emotionless while geppetto dies.... the only drawback of this ending that pinocchio dies at the end. while the ending where geppetto insult pinocchio. pinocchio is alive at the end.
Can u link me the video of other ending?

Did you see it?. I don't sure if you could. Because dumb UA-cam always hide my reply with link.

@@greentea1941 found it thanks, i think this ending is actually better cuz gipetto and p die on good terms which means p was actually a good boy i guess and sophia gets to love aswell
he blocked the sword cause the weird puppet got out of control and tried to destroy his son's heart instead of just disabling pinochhio
Pinocchio was brilliant and there is so much potential with the wizard of oz it’s insane. I can only hope that maybe someday we could see Alice in wonderland as one of their future projects.

Lol, u picked the costume w the mask so we didn't see Pinocchio tears when Gepetto dies in his arm

I hope they make more games based on classics I would love a Frankenstein game

I love Howell’s voice acting in this finale. He goes from maniacally ecstatic and desperate, to bitterly writing you off as another resource that he has to destroy to get what he wants. The reveal of the hands is also crazy. Brings a whole new meaning to “ the kid gloves are coming off”
If their doing soul games from children's story I'd like to see peter pan souls game, wizard of Oz, sleeping beauty, and more tbh..
This ending is so sweet, so happy I got it otherwise I would've been upset! However they really should've made it so there's no mask regardless of what you have equipped...the whole point is that Geppetto notices a tear rolling down P's cheek!
P laying in Sophia’s arms in the end is a reference to The Pieta by Michelangelo
Also the previous fight with Manus had another reference to the portrait of Adam touching fingers with God. Brilliant.
10:38 my ship is real
Ok, so I told the truth my second play through and at the end Geppetto while he’s dying says “I knew you were a worthless puppet” and then dies. I chose to not put Sophia to rest and you don’t get that ending with her. It’s very neat seeing the differences in story depending on the choices
Cant wait for the lore of this game since i dont think a long gameplay can save my brain 🥹
want to know the summary?
Yes
@@noble-one5383 yeah i think youtube deleted my spoiler comment. i recommend play the game
can you do it again with out the mask LOL
Pinnocchio-> Wizard of Oz-> Winnie the Pooh?!
Just imagine a badass Christoper Robin slaughtering mutated stuffed animals in a post apocalyptic hundred-acre woods?! They don't bleed blood, it's all honey and stuffing that really slowly seeps out being all stuck together. The honey bees help Christopher Robin to end the plague of Pooh.
2:37 Geppetto thinks he's Sasori
The scene Sophia holding Pinocchio reminds me of Michael Angelo's sculpture "La Pieta".
Just beat the game and got the good ending today. I did a blind motivity run and am so glad I did. I was able to beat NP third try with my trusty coil mjolnir. Ng+ will be pure technique. Im so hyped for the dlc and next game!
the grimm souls universe looks like universe i could get into
bruh i gave the old fool my heart now I can't fight this boss.
really dont want to go through the game all over again just to fight one boss. But not beating this boss just makes the experience feel so incomplete. god damn it
The electric coil stick saved my life in this battle. I had It fully powered up and used the fable art to charge electricity more. Ate through the nameless puppets HP like nothing
This gives some really strong Kingdom Hearts vibes
Pinochio is basically Carlo's nobody.
The nameless puppet is his heartless.
Gepetto needs a perfected version of Carlo's heart to bring his son back.

The ending and story are so good
Man what a game, got this as my first ending, and just a heads up it’s not truly about lying, lol I didn’t lie a whole lot.
Dude where the hell is that arena at the start of this video? I can't find
Alan in the middle of Manus's arena is a bunch of blue glowing symbols go to the center and it will give you the prompt to go down do so and you'll be there
Games absolutely phenomenal
From what I read online a lot of people struggled with this fight. But honestly I thought this boss had THE BEST combat flow in the entire game. It only took me one try because I was scared of a bad ending if I died.
thank you so much. i try to copy your weapon and strategy. and it works after failing so many times with my advance build
Holy shit just beat the nameless puppet at NG+ big pain in the ass. First form you get used to it after a few tries but his second form i almost threw my controller a few times. I probably got killed like 40 times. When i finally hit him with a fatal attack he was less than one quarter of health and i was like fuck it and kept throwing thermites and after i ran out thermites I used throwing cells and finally got him. Great game, It got frustrating at the end but I'm glad I pulled through and finished it with the true ending.
he looks a lot easier in a normal playthrough. didnt knew that where a secret and boss and now i have to fight him in ng+ his first phase is easy with parrying almost everything but the second phase is just pain with his ng+ damage on top of his kombos
*end boss
He looks easy cause he won. It always looks easy when they win. His second form is not easy at all. 😊
@@Ty-wf6mg he isnt realy that hard i think. his first phase you can parry or dodge the most attacks. the second phase is a little bit more unpredictable so you get more dmg in his kombos. in a normal game it isnt that much damage but like i said in new game plus the damage is a lot higher you get
@@swardtz1178I promise you its much harder, notice how he stopped partying in second phase. The boss gets a speed, aggression, and damage boost. Parrying becomes borderline impossible with second phase. Not to mention the special attacks he uses, they reach far and are hard to avoid especially that one cross rush attack he does because it can pretty much be avoided only by parrying or just being out of range.
@@ollaughingbeta2233 i got platin in the game like 2 days ago. wasnt that hard for me. had to learn the parry moments of him. if you can parry he is easy.
My game crashed just as I beat him, so I didn’t get to see the last cutscene 😭 thanks for uploading this so I could watch it :)
Might want to watch someone else as apparently MC cries in the final scene. I had a my mask on so it doesn't show...
2nd phase is literally just Lady Maria omg
Just beat the game and got this ending didn't realise this was the true ending
I love the wizard of Oz tease at the end. Would make for a crazy setting
I just beat the boss today. The first time I beat a boss without using strargazer because there is no option to do so😢
So did Pinocchio die at the end? I mean his head kinda did twitch in the end so...
He is alive. After the ending you can find a letter from sophia in gepetto's office and the characters in the hotel have new dialogue.
Can you explain the Ending
Rise of P to me? Why is Sophia there; I thought he put her to Rest, and yet she is sitting there. To me it seems he dies there in her Arms.
@@nightgamer1507 remember what ergo is. P just absorbed her ergo and transplanted it to a puppet. He doesn't die as he react when he is on her lap and she is happy to see him. Besides at the end you find a letter from her thanking you.
@@DiegoBarbosanoLucky Can you explain why was there a Sophia puppet and why Pinocchio's hair turn white like why absorbing Sophia's ergo turn P's hair white
@@barunmajumdar679 speculation but it is a real health problem called (Canities Subita). When a person go through a very very extreme stress, one of the hormones makes your hair white (pigmentation) rapidly. Since our protagonist is slowly becoming human here, and he is clearly in dilemma if he must let go of Sophia or let her suffer by living.
7:14 Nameless Puppet has a grab? Beat him twice and never saw it.
How’d you get the long white hair? I just finished my first playthrough and never got any options to change it😭
I remember getting the white hair when I put Sophia to rest. Not sure if humanity affects it
Lie to become human = long hair
Put Sofia to rest = White hair
@@jbrnicky ah gotcha, I did a mix of lying and telling the truth so maybe I didn’t get enough humanity points for it to change
Gepetto wants to turn you into a real boy, but you already have become a real man.
Wtf he apologized? In my run he called me a worthless puppet
Imagine a boss fight with the Wizard of Oz, the visuals would be crazy
How many endings are there? Are there any good endings?
3 according to trophies. Technically this is the true ending, the other two are kind of bad lol.
@@Rubhen925 how did i get these ending?
Instead of Geppetto saying "I'm sorry, son." I got the ending where he says "You were always a stupid puppet" wtf 😂😂😂
Can someone explain this Ending to me?
Why is Sophia there? I thought she is dead with the
"Put her to Rest" Option. Is Pinnochio Dead?
For me it seems he died in her Arms.
I think pinocchio didn't die because the moment Sophia puts her hand on is face you can notice that he moves hi face as if he is resting or passed out
Ergo is kinda like a soul so i'm pretty sure that scene at the end is pinnoochio putting her ergo or soul inside of a puppet, therefore sacrificing himself to bring her back in a puppet body.
We put Sophia's body to rest but her soul just like all other humans in and around Krat live through Ergo.
@@marcelomachado5677 He didn't die. He simply returned her Ergo back to Sophia and passed out. If you go back to Geppeto's table you'll see a letter from Sophia thanking you for what you did.
Isn't Nameless Puppet a New Vessels for Carlo? I see this fight like Pinocchio vs Carlo
Probably my fault for not getting early acces but sure I am not alone.
so Rise of P is the real ending? do you need to collect all records for this? can you get this ending in the first go?
Out of curiosity, what did the letter say with Sophia? I went with the bad ending and instead got a letter from someone else@@Regianldo56

What handle are you using here?
Why did the options "Refuse" and "Give your heart" switch sides for a second?
It took me twelve hours to kill this boss. I wanted to smash my controller multiple times lol
Good vid! Any plans to do a cutscenes video?

Why did the end with Paracelsus on the phone remind me of Leon in RE4 “Condor one, come in?”
There's a tear without mask on P's face. I'm means P become a real boy. Physically
what's the name of this ost? 8:18
couldn't find it at all
so One question the theme song that plays when P discombobulated the nameless puppet's heart. What is it, ive been trying to find it. Or is it just an offshoot sound bcz if so that's sad
Nameless Puppet is harder than any Dark Souls or Elden Ring boss I've faced (only haven't played the DLC)
I had the same exact ending as this and no achievement I followed the guide to a t. Wild how many games have this issue.
FYI the handle blade art shuts his second phase down easily
I feel like the second phase should've been renamed "Unstrung Puppet" or something
Anyone have any advice on the best preferred weapon to use against this guy and the amulets?
Did you know that Pinocchio was the name of the scientist not the puppet.
The mask ruins the special moment imo.
fantastic game, honestly the only thing i hate is how the parry system works in this game, the fact you have to hold the button long enough just to generate the is stupid design choice, i get they wanted to make it difficult but come on.
