I can't believe it took me 2 days to finally have time to open this. It's been playing at the back of my mind ever since I read the title "I'm afraid of reaching my full potential" because I can literally feel it :(( + "Many people find it exciting getting out of their comfort zone" I do too but that's for my small day to day goals because I once opted to do the things I fear I'm bad at on my birthday and it just turned out good, it just feels so good. But when it comes to thinking of long term goals, it scares me of how the change is gonna take place. I sure can see myself there but I'm not sure how and that's what's unknown. Thank you for 'Complex PTSD' I've been searching for some good books about it recently too.. Doing what you say is such a great one to build trust in yourself 🙌 you do know when I've to come back to the track somehow, the timings are sure crazyy
When I feel overwhelmed by the daily routine, when life seems boring, I imagine my grandparents before they emigrated, before they left their roots to imagine a new life, to build a new home, in a city that had just been founded. Today I live in their dreams, in the life they imagined, in a big city, and I feel grateful. And then, I remember that in my past I had wished to have a present like the one I have today. Sure, there is a lot to improve, but my time, my tasks, my independence, my responsibilities... you know, my stuff... I try to do the exercise of thinking: how do I want to be tomorrow? because life has already shown me that this is true. love your hair, thanks!
