Oh hell no I was in Inglewood the next night. Woops. This is an excellent concert. Inglewood a bit, you know, not maximum effort. I didn't record this one. I'm glad someone did.
So is this the LA Forum. I'm so Glad from that concert is a rocking track also between the three of them. Thanks for this. Because I'm a Cream junkie. I don't care of it's Cream in my ears, veins, or Cream in my pants.

Jack's just playing filthy jazz tinged blues here. Him and Ginger are definitely running the show. Love in the last chorus "people you're a cryin' abaout a" where Jack played a very dissonant note when he sings "cryin'". Incredible.
I'm an L.A. gumshoe. I listen to the tracks. Cream often tuned to Eb (instead of E) and why on god's green earth would they do that? Stevie Ray Vaughn does that? Why, oh why? Jimi, people, tuned his guitar to Eb. Simple, no? I play this song (guitar and voice) every night since winter of 1969. It's different every time. Cream kept me alive for a while. I recorded this I I did not think that it rocked this hard. Thanks. This might be my tape which was stolen by a bootlegger. Oh, Kidz, L.A. in the sixties, let me bore you...
@@fredschmidt100 - I'm So Glad, Skip James, 1931 and revived 1966 by Cream. In 1970 I learned the guitar solo (Clapton) note for note. I'm So Glad is a stock entry in my repertoire and it, like the entire album, is beautiful.
Guys tune to E flat for a couple of reasons: 1) If you're a Strat player, some think Strats sound better when tuned to E flat -- Eddie Van Halen tuned his Frankenstrat (and other guitars) to E flat for apparently that reason; 2) it's easier on the vocalist if you're tuned a half step down, under touring conditions the vocal cords sometimes could use that slight break they get from not having to push all the way to pitch: a third reason would be that it's easier to bend notes because even just a half step down the strings are noticeably slacker -- depending on the guitar. I think I read somewhere that Hendrix tuned down to E flat for that reason.
+100 % SAN DIEGO OCT 20TH 1968 !!!!OUTTA SIGHT!POWER TO THE MAX!TRY THIS ONE EDDIE!
Ohh the propulsion of those drums! RIP Ginger ..and Jack!!
Yup, this is THE SHIT! Saw them first at Santa Monica Civic and several times after, but this performance is nuts.
cream were a band in every sense, although it is easy to pick out individuals it is the complete mix that made the band special
D'accordissimo. Lo stesso Hendrix ne invidiava/apprezzava proprio il futuristico sincretismo poli-linguistico.
I was there that night. My tiny reel to reel ran out in the middle of Toad. Yup. Six bucks. No body searches. I'm going to go cry now.
When Clapton was called God!
Todavía era un Dios superior Jack Bruce!!
El mejor bajo de todos los tiempos y como vocalista y compositor fue eso un *Dios*
SM. México..!
This is simply Clapton at his very fucking best.
The greatest band of all time
This version rips ass!!!!
Always loved Jack's voice, so powerful. I can imagine standing in front of three Marshalls.
Such synergy, inventiveness and virtuosity!
It's an electric raga.fantastic -by the time it ends , you are someplace, light years from where you started.
Man this is heavy.
I can just imagine what Ginger looks like playing the drums in this.
Great version very clean sounding lots of power
What makes you think you are where you are?

I have been a Cream fan from whenever they started (I am 70)...
Still, I never realized how GOOD THIS BAND WAS...
untill I heard this RECORDING !
Heard on good authority that this was recorded at Sports Arena, San Diego, CA, 20th October 1968.
Correct.
The bass is fierce man oh man.

If only, the sorcerer said, if only this world was as distant as my childhood dreams
This is actually from San Diego October 20th 1968. The day after they played The Forum in Los Angeles.

The 'I'm so Glad ' from the gooodbye album is the MOST overlooked guitar solo in all of Rock. THey cooked
So intense.....unbelievable.....
なんという凄まじい演奏!
Clean sound- great..Jack especially outstanding on bass- as usual

Greatr Soiund , Great pictures
Recorded in a bucket somewhere in California.
Holy shit!
No poncey Rolling Stones here
Wow.
GOOD LORD HAVE MERCY!....
Great music & unite against gang stalkers
Clapton should’ve never sold out nor do drugs
Loe20 - You mean he never should have stopped using drugs right? Cannabis and the Classic Psychedelics, I agree. Heroin, no.
@@monty70 👍🏽
He's most likely on drugs here haha
Clapton should of stayed with the Gibson that had the tone and the great phrasing back in the day
I liked his heroin days.
This isn't as good as the Wheels Of Fire version.
The Who's version is so much more powerful. The Who was way better live than Cream
The Who's version of Spoonful?
Nope. Not even close.
