    This was a wonderful presentation. I grew up in Seagrove Beach, when we all knew our neighbors. I had a wonderful childhood in Walton County. I used to think it was so far from Seagrove to Grayton. Little did I know what was coming to 30-A. Whew! Haha. We still love it because we know how it used to be.

    I am a true native to the Florida Panhandle it makes me sick of all these damn tourists coming here ruining our beaches and overcrowded our roadways

    I am a native Floridian of 53 years, I love the history of Florida. I want to keep Florida a state governed area.

    The map shows the "Alaqua" between Freeport & Portland. But isn't the "Alaqua" that was the county seat, the "Alaqua" community closer to DeFuniak?

      yes you are correct south of 90 and west of 331 south some other old names close by are Iona, Bell, and Albert’s Temple.

      The Alaqua Creek enters the Choctawhatchee Bay between Freeport and Portland-a bridge on FL20 goes over it….
