you are a true genius..I am in my 3 year of vet school and I've learned this topic over 100 times and still unable to understand the concept. BUT YOU MADE IT SO EASY for me to understand in 2 mins.
I have never listened to many videos on the topic but never a more interesting and easy explanation of these concepts than this before Thank you so much Absolutely amazing
Great videos, thank you. Can you talk about how to calculate how false positives are calculated? And where we find error rates to use in those calculations? Also what variables might be considered in the error rate and how that is calculated.
Thank you Adele for your comment! For false positives, usually they're given in the question stem, a paragraph or 2*2 table. Sometimes, you have to calculate them if you have the sample size with the sensitivity & specificity. As for error rates, how to calculate them is beyond our scope. However, in medical school, these can be tested as a concept (know type 1 and type 2 errors and what do they actually mean) rather than how to calculate them. We'll put this topic on our list for a future biostat video ;) We hope this helped
Hello, We will definitely take it into consideration! But for the time being we're focusing more on microbiology, biochemistry, neuroanatomy, and biostatistics
Great video, with simplified explanation ..it saved me time from reading a med stats book. The example was nice but really gender stereotyped - you could've simply used 2 dogs with different names, why bring in their gender?

We're glad you found it helpful! Will keep your suggestion in mind in our future videos!
Really love your video. But the intro sound sharply "ding" to my ears every time I’m wearing earphones. Hope you can change that. ☺️
We're happy to hear that! And don't worry, we can definitely lower the sound at the beginning ;)
Is this for BEP course? Alfaisal
It could help with that, correct!
