The Diminished Arpeggios is just stacked minor 3rds. The notes are 1.5 whole steps apart (you can view it as 3 frets on the guitar).
Gear: I used a Fender Strat with Zexcoil pickups from www.lawingmusicalproducts.com
The amp: Skyraider SR-15 from MackAmps.com
The fantastic reverb is from Room & Verbs for EZ Mix 2, from www.toontrack.com/

This man has lessons that are practical, relevant to what I need to improve. The real deal and I appreciate this

That was a terrific lesson! I keep find myself surrounded by people whose best advice when it comes to diminished chords is always, "just ignore them for now."

I love this, it has an exotic- gypsy- blues - jazz sound mixed together. Soon as I heard this video start off with those blistering blues runs, I said, oh my, here is one of those super good ones, the kind of licks you play when warming up with a new group, and all of a sudden, people freeze in their tracks and quit shuffling around to prepare the stage, just to hear your bad self, and all of a sudden, the ones who invited you to sit in with them start shaking in their boots, thinking, he is going to make the rest of us look like amateurs. SUPER BOSS BLUES LICKS, THANK YOU SO MUCH ROBERT, FOR THIS AND ALSO, ST. JAMES INFIRMARY COVERAGE.

Wow, this was very instructional, thanks! You're an incredibly good guitarist and very versatile (I've seen lots of your other videos). I'm a non-technical/non-theory, mostly self taught, guitarist, but this really helped me with the diminished arpeggio thing. I play and write in several styles of music and can see where this would work in more than one style/genre.
