@2:00 , I found that it is not required to remove the rear body work to get the bushings out. Just gently pull up on the plastic and you'll be able to get them out without issue. The plastic body work is not brittle, so it won't 'snap' and break. Just be gentle with it and only pull up on it just enough to squeeze the bushings out. I just did this on my new 2024 'Busa and it went without a problem.
Yo I love the way you take us along for the ride of you taking your bikes from stock to complete bolt on. I don't think its anybody else that does that and show the performance gains along the way. Keep it up
Much respect. So on my 2023 busa I popped off my rear seat took out the grab bar removed the rear spacers and the cowling popped right in. Not even sure I needed to remove the spacers at all . Much love.
You have to bend the fairing way too much for my comfort level. Besides taking the fairing off was simple and made it super easy to disconnect the tag light
He followed the instructions which is exactly what I did. 30-45mins tops. He did an excellent job. Only thing I would have suggested since people will view this as instructional is to show how to actually pop rivets out. I can see someone trying to pry them out if they aren't familiar with them.
Question - any reason why you did not just Dremmel the seat cowl so you can flip back and forth the the pillion or Cowl thus leaving the grab bar on? I see quite a few people doing this simple mod and nothing has to change - did you try putting the seat cowl on without removing any of the washers to see the fit - or you did and it just would not work? Cheers Man - nice ride - love the white not an option here in Canada
Thanks for the video. I saw another video where the guy DOES NOT remove (exchange) the spacers. All he does is remove the grab bar and STRAIGHT install the cowl on a 2022 BUSA. Do you really need to change that spacer? Thanks.
Seems like the seat/cowl attachment was an after thought for Suzuki. They should have just put the cowl hardware on the bike from the factory since it also works for rear seat.
Thanks matey. Great video. I couldnt work out why I needed to install the smaller spaces in so I left em out... After watching your video I now know why and what they replace... Not sure if I'm going to put them in thou as my girl wants to saddle up on the back at times and it's easier and less mucking around to put the grab rail back on for a day ride....
Agreed on the cowl and I have no complaints on the Shorai battery. I dont think its the lightest battery in its class but I've tried others and had nothing but problems. So I'll stick with them for the time being
Unfortunately no it's not included. They started not including it when I picked up my 18, 1000...go figure. I guess no other manufacturers include it...but still a bummer.
Forget the rear seat. I’ll probably end up buying the 2023 model in black and hopefully they have one with the seat cowl on it. If not, I’ll just remove it and then sale it through fb marketplace
@@EnviedKing All you had to do is, to remove the grab handle and passenger seat without replacing spacers and place the cowling on, wo loosened the tail, unless you really need the grab bar with cowling, I don't think so it's all about weight reduction, lol Did you get the new fearing?
@@andyr4609 that's not possible because those spacers push the fairing too high and the cowl will not fit. You have to remove the spacers or it doesn't work. Trust me I tried
@@EnviedKing I did exactly the same as you did, when I got mine 3 mos ago from a video on UA-cam, a member in the forum mentioned that no need to exchange the spacers…. I thought why I didn’t try it, but went like a sheep following that video… lol

I do it because I like doing it but I am glad that people actually want to watch me continuously tear apart brand new bikes LoL
Great video. Helped me with the seat/cowl switch out and no spare parts left over. Great job and safe riding!
Thanks for the video. It helped me to change mine out without a problem. Cheers
This was perfect as I just got my bike (looks just like yours!) and needed to install the cowl. Great video!
Much respect.

Thank-you for this video. I really appreciate it!
Nice video! 👍 You really don't need to remove the tail to swap the grab bar bushings.
You have to bend the fairing way too much for my comfort level. Besides taking the fairing off was simple and made it super easy to disconnect the tag light
By the way....you do not EVEN need to remove those spacers...just remove the GRABAR and put the cowl in, or the rear seat back.

That wasn’t to bad of a install! I need that Busa truck space R1 has no space at all

Dang that Busa got mad trunk space!
Big booty Judy 😂
Use the little bracket that holds the 2 deflectors for the tag!

Sick video let's goooooooo
Easy 10lbs right there and those bikes should come with the cowl and have the seat optional instead. How you like those Shorai batteries though?

Where did you order your rear cowl ? I need one I have a hayabusa just like yours same color combo.
Oneidasuzuki
I didn't have to change the spacers to install the cowl. Just removed the grab bar and it snapped right in...
So the rear cowl doesn’t come with the bike anymore?
Unfortunately no it's not included. They started not including it when I picked up my 18, 1000...go figure. I guess no other manufacturers include it...but still a bummer.

Holy Crap! You sure those first 4 screws/Bolts are tight enough…. 😳
😉🙌
Just remove the grab bar and put the cowling…
No need to take the whole thing….
I did not want to bend that rear fairing anymore than I had too because with my luck it would have cracked LoL

Roughly a 1hp gain.
This is way too much work for a damn seat cowl! Why Suzuki!? Whyyyyyyyy!?
Kind of a PITA to just switch out the passenger pillion and grab bar for a cowl. FJB 🖕🇨🇳
