My sister Judy O'Brien had a craft shop in Bridgeton, driving down from northern Indiana for many years for the various holiday & seasonal festivals. After a decade of doing that, she bought a home in town and did the crafting life full time. She had a full time booth in the mill building and another booth in nearby downtown Rockville. During the major festival of the year in October, nearly a million people would visit the area, with a massive influx of outside vendors. Her entire home was re-imagined into a craft store for FESTIVAL. Festival in October drew annual visits from sons, daughters, nieces, nephews , grandsons, and granddaughters to help with the immense crowds. She was always assisted by locals Joe & Sandy who were best friends from her Northern Indiana home who had relocated before her. Some of my personal friends had drive 200-300 miles to attend festival in October. Other than October, it was quite a slow pace of life, probably similar to the late 1800's.

Julius daily was a upholstery and ran his own shop for over 45 years until 2002 then had a stroke and retired I loved this man like a father and his wife like the only mother I've ever known. Over the years I've tried to find out more an I'm starting to try my hand in it any tips would be awesome
