Downhill you’ll be faster, uphill maybe the same to a tad slower. (Compared to raid bike) On steep pitches you have to spin or grind I nstead of standing. I retired my Serotta Ottrott & Bianchi Vertigo & All City Mr Pink after nasty crash & broken bones. Now ride a Catrike Expedition and a Bachetta Carbontrike
inevitably not as fast up hills as a much lighter road bike will be. and you cant stand up (cheat). but its a good climber none the less, given its weight disadvantage. firstly, you dont have to expend any energy on balancing. secondly, you can definitely put more power down than a upright bike rider can put down without standing. its more they are slower up hills than slow. and you can generally catch up again on the flats and downhills
that blackcat prototype looks stunning. real mean and low. not seen it before. maybe revise it for a second gen 700. just call it the black cat. perfect :)
the 16 inch model looks nicer imo. but the 20 inch wheels create more recline. 25 degree vs 27. i have a 2015 700 and i love it. always creates a stir /bemusement when ever i ride it. so much fun
I want to try this one so bad.
Just can’t get enough of mine...and it’s been 12 years!!
I have mine on order, hope to get it soon!
How are you liking it?!
How is it for uphill biking? I live in a hilly area.

13 seasons of triking....10 trikes......my 2014 700 and 2006 Speed are all that I need for the past 2 years......and the next 100!
Sweet bike now the employees just need to take off those WORTHLESS contaminated face diapers. They don't work!
Catrike 700 with Bafang BBS02B would be the ticket.
Impressive trike. Impressive factory.
Love this trike and the speed it gives.
I love my 700

Thanks for the information 👍
Sad that the front wheels when from 16inch to 20, I have the 16inch and it is beautiful!
