Doing a review on some of the things I like about my 2019 Yamaha FX HO wave runner. Top speed is 59 mph. This ski has a naturally aspirated 1.8L four cylinder engine.
That was a pretty good review. No obnoxious music. Bright, sunny day. I hope to get one of these in a few years, but I like the blue/white color scheme on the 2019 model the best so far.
Why kind of fuel do you use in the FX Cruiser HO? Also where is the best place to get the oil change kit with the filter? Thanks I appreciate it, I have the same model and color except for it's a 2021.
I run premium 93 although its not required. I buy my oil change kit directly from yamaha and my local Yamaha usually has it it in stock. I also had to buy a pump to pump the oil out of the engine since there is no drain plug. No problem and I love the blue and white!
Great content. I am back and forth between the fx ho or vsho...any recommendation? Seems you have room and water to go faster..the challenge I am finding on the svho is more maintenance, higher fuel (93) and less reliability vs the ho...but again wonfering...
Thanks! This fx ho does right around 60-61 with a few mods. You can get it to do close to the 64 range with a few more mods. If you want to go faster than 65 get the svho without a doubt. The supercharger does require a lil bit more maintenance since the clutches will need to be replaced at some point. I thinks its somewhere over 100hours. I've had mine for 3 years now and just barely hitting 60 hours. Fx ho is a very reliable ski. If you want to go long distance riding the fx ho would prob be the better option. For speed svho.
@@boostedfiveoh interesting...so you're regret for the HO instead of the SVHO or definitely happy with the HO? Yes reliability is something i am having in consideration by thinking of the HO instead of the SVHO...as well wondering Yamaha VS Sea Doo...again some thoughts here as well?
@@pedrot1152 If I were to do it again I think I would buy the svho. I like to go fast and always feel like I need to go a lil bit faster on my HO. The HO gets moving pretty quick but I always feel like I want to go faster than 60mph. I like to do long cruises and really want to to some longer trips with my ski. Bahamas trip would be awesome. Reliability and better fuel mileage were important for me to do these types of trips. Thats the main reason I chose the HO vs the svho. If you like to go fast just buy the svho. I chose Yamaha over Sea Doo for reliability and how well they do with Endurance racing. The FX hull was designed for this. I also like the 1.8l 4 cylinder engine in the Yamaha. Also I asked a Jet ski rental company Yamaha or Sea Doo and they said Yamaha with hesitation.
Its usually dirty looking but doesn't really hurt anything. I clean the ski after I ride. Cleaner water would be nice but its a longer drive for cleaner water
Dude, you make a video showing you starting the waverunner without your safety key on... not cool... you should never let anybody see you doing that... I own a waverunner and that’s just a bad influence.
Awesome! Finally some content!
Yes, finally! Thanks for watching so quick.
and first comment!
boostedfiveoh thanks for posting!

Thank you! I really like the blue/white too. I get compliments on this thing everywhere I go. Its a blast to ride!
Thanks for mentioning your height. I'm 6'4" and fitting in vehicles has always been an issue
No problem! You would fit just fine on the fx model ski and have the ability to adjust the handlebars higher too.

What kind of gas mileage that getting?
Hello
Is there any differences between 2019,2020,2021 models except colours?
Not aware of any differences in those model years. If there are differences they are very minor.
@@boostedfiveoh Thanks ❤️

How much did you pay
I payed 13,600 for the ski with trailer in 2019. Prices have gone up since then
I want this or the vx cruiser ho.
Im super happy with this ski! Would buy another one in a heartbeat
Why is the river so dirty? Wouldn't you want your ski in cleaner water?

What is your top speed?
Top speed so far is 61
