Warlock gotta be the best feel of the classes to play. Has good ranged and melee options, just enough spells and has the stamina to go at least 3 fights a day (short rest for each). Can lean on EB or Fireball early and later can lean into a weapon focused setup when the gear comes in and Extra Attack. Is also omega 1 stat class with just CHA
Warlock is pretty Insane you can land 3 a attacks then use 2 aeo spells to finish them off and good dialogue options and most importantly you feel like a witcher 😁😁
Hi from my own experience I would say Initiative rolls attack rolls and /damage types and resistances are so important and most important thing in the game you dont have to kill everyone! you can but you don't have to you can throw potions on the ground to heal can even group your party and throw one healing potion in the middle to heal all of them Also if you have shadow heart in your party change her class the first chance you get I suggest Healing cleric here are a couple of game Mechanics I thought you should know about : 1-Initiative rolls determine who takes the first turn its determine by dex the higher you dex the higher you chance of taking a turn first there are a couple of items that increase Initiative rolls as well 2-Attack rolls you make a dice roll vs the enemy AC and add your stat modifier to it too based on what kind of weapon you use for example if you are using a finesse weapon it adds either your dex or strength based on which one has a higher value so lets say you have 16 dex and you are using dex/finesse weapon and you want to hit a 16 AC enemy you need to roll 13 to hit that enemy since you get +3 to attack roll from your dex modifier if you are using an str weapon get giant strength potions from auntie Ethel in the grove if you roll a 20 its always a critical hit and you do double the amount of damage if you roll a 1its always a critical miss regardless of enemy AC 2-Advantage/Disadvantage if you have Advantage on attack rolls or any checks you roll 2 dice and take the highest result Disadvantage does the opposite you roll 2 dices and take the lowest value 3-Spell DC some spells use Spell DC instead of attack rolls spell attack rolls like scorching ray uses attack rolls and int/charisma/wisdom based on your class so what is spell DC your spells have spell dc that means your enemy need to roll a value to either fail or succeed in the saving throw and your items stats (proficiency )adds to it lets say you spell has a 8 Base DC that's 8 + proficiency bonus + spellcasting ability modifier 4-There are 13 damage types for martial Classes you have Bludgeoning Piercing Slashing Damage some enemies are only resistant to physical Bludgeoning Piercing Slashing Damage so if you have any abelites/oils that turn your attacks into magical you can bypass them so how do you figure out if an enemy has magical or physical resistance if the icon has blue flash up above the resistance that means its magical resistance if its a bold closed circle it means they are immune to that damage type so what does resistance do ? it halves your damage if you do 10 damage it does 5 to that enemy 5-Vulnerability if someone is venerable to a damage type you deal 2x damage to them with that damage type Hope this Helps I could go on on and on but I wanted to keep it short good luck on the runs you are in for a lot fun edit: If you have any questions you can join our discord server if you want

Just installed the game, what should i know
Hi from my own experience I would say Initiative rolls attack rolls and /damage types and resistances are so important and most important thing in the game you dont have to kill everyone! you can but you don't have to you can throw potions on the ground to heal can even group your party and throw one healing potion in the middle to heal all of them Also if you have shadow heart in your party change her class the first chance you get I suggest Healing cleric
here are a couple of game Mechanics I thought you should know about :
1-Initiative rolls determine who takes the first turn its determine by dex the higher you dex the higher you chance of taking a turn first there are a couple of items that increase Initiative rolls as well
2-Attack rolls you make a dice roll vs the enemy AC and add your stat modifier to it too based on what kind of weapon you use for example if you are using a finesse weapon it adds either your dex or strength based on which one has a higher value so lets say you have 16 dex and you are using dex/finesse weapon and you want to hit a 16 AC enemy you need to roll 13 to hit that enemy since you get +3 to attack roll from your dex modifier if you are using an str weapon get giant strength potions from auntie Ethel in the grove if you roll a 20 its always a critical hit and you do double the amount of damage if you roll a 1its always a critical miss regardless of enemy AC
2-Advantage/Disadvantage if you have Advantage on attack rolls or any checks you roll 2 dice and take the highest result Disadvantage does the opposite you roll 2 dices and take the lowest value
3-Spell DC some spells use Spell DC instead of attack rolls spell attack rolls like scorching ray uses attack rolls and int/charisma/wisdom based on your class so what is spell DC your spells have spell dc that means your enemy need to roll a value to either fail or succeed in the saving throw and your items stats (proficiency )adds to it lets say you spell has a 8 Base DC that's 8 + proficiency bonus + spellcasting ability modifier
4-There are 13 damage types for martial Classes you have Bludgeoning Piercing Slashing Damage some enemies are only resistant to physical Bludgeoning Piercing Slashing Damage so if you have any abelites/oils that turn your attacks into magical you can bypass them so how do you figure out if an enemy has magical or physical resistance if the icon has blue flash up above the resistance that means its magical resistance if its a bold closed circle it means they are immune to that damage type so what does resistance do ? it halves your damage if you do 10 damage it does 5 to that enemy
5-Vulnerability if someone is venerable to a damage type you deal 2x damage to them with that damage type
Hope this Helps I could go on on and on but I wanted to keep it short good luck on the runs you are in for a lot fun
