Seeing all these bad endings is so hard, but it definitely shows the amount of work and thought that went into everyone's route. There's no "generic" bad ending, each one is unique to the dad. Though I'm definitely glad we got the good endings in our playthroughs. I don't think my heart could take actually getting this from any of the dads!
watching/playing through robert's bad ending just makes me feel like a total ass.. like..then he never tries to improve his relationship with val..man now i gotta go replay his good ending :') ...however joseph's audible "WINK." made me laugh harder than it shouldve

Robert's good ending imo is by far the best. I can't even begin to tell you how much I cried. He genuinely appreciates you as a person and thought he isn't ready for a relationship at the time of the end of the game, he still wants you in his life. He's so soft and cute and I can't deal with it

It's sad in the sense it shows no character development, but I love the fact he just sits down, immediately insults you, and then you get up and walk away like "ain't nobody got time for that"
I'm starting to feel sorry for Brian, he deserved better. If I were the Dadsona, I would be kind to him and hv fun with him. Even if he wasn't my type, I wouldn't stoop that low. Shame on the Dadsona. Brian is a sweetheart, and his personality just screams husband material.

OK, the Brain ending hurts me on so many levels.
personally i love every character as a romance route but here's my headcanon. personally i think the players soulmate is craig. mines would probs be mat, or damien, but i think its so cute how him and hugo can be a thing, they seem really compatible, + that means that in the end ernest will get his dog which is healthy for him :D also hugo and damien can bond over their cchildren going through their teenage phases. however i think that robert needs mc in his life, even in a non romantic way. brian definitely gives playful bestie vibes for the mc (altho to me he gives husband vibes) and personally i think we should go on 1 date with joseph just so we can walk mary home and clear things up with her, but to stay away from joseph after that, fuck adultery. altho i think joseph is really morally complex, like i could delve into a whole essay ab it, the bad ending is not it. i think it'd be cute if damien and mc stayed besties and if he helps out at the dog shelter sometimes, mc giving damien the encouragement to embrace all sides of himself and not adhere to stereotypes. it'd be super cute if they continued to have high teas, stroll in his garden, peruse his library, write to eachother, go to movies together (platonically) and write letters to eachother as dear friends. mats definitely a good buddy too. i'll update this when im done with everyone elses route
i finished mat and i think mc and him could have such a mutually beneficial friendship, especially as they're both dealing with anxiety (relatable) and loss of a partner. carmensita and amanda being good buds would be so cute, especially with amanda taking her under her wing and their adorable secret handshake. for mat and mc i see them as being able to do tons of fun things as friends, weekly vinyl shopping, being occasional blazing buddies (hopefully not any more oregano), going to concerts together and checking out the local scene. also we get a pablo friendship out of it too, and while he's weird he's a good kid and him and mc have a wholesome brolationship. i also love the thought of mc's friendship and bravery giving mat the strength to continue pursuing what he loves and showing up to his every performance. in terms of MY preference tho minus the storyline mat is the hottest and i woulda wifed him up (assuming cult!joseph wouldn't end me there and then), his good ending was the only one that actively had me squealing.
hugos super cool and probably the one i feel the most paternal relationship to. as appreciators of trivia, insightful conversations, cheese and wine i think they make great pals. i feel like it'd be so great for mc and him to do their quiz nights with friendly competition between the other dads. also, through these weekly trivia nights quizzmaster quinn was able to get the help he deserves! awesome sidequest if u ask me. also unrelated but his voice does NOT match h is face, i was totally expecting it to be more gruff. also his passion for wrestling is so cute. i like the thought of him meeting his hero, the eastern dragon with mc but on a platonic wrestling get together and mc encouraging him in being open about his passions and not conforming to a stereotype, similar to damien! 'see you in class.. bitch.' 'YOU CANT SAY THA-' 'nobody will believe you.' ONE OF THE FUNNIEST LINES LMFAO. him and mc being wrestling buddies would be soo cool too, maybe craig and damien tagging along to a wrestling match too as a double date, since craigs interested in that and damien is accepting of basically everything!

idr about Date 1 because I used an old save, but I got an S and an A on dates 2 and 3 and still got a terrible ending. Val even spoke to me and told me how great her dad is doing and Robert just treats MC like garbage in the ending I got. It's very frustrating lol
