  • The Steam Guides page is... pretty bad, no doubt about it. But is it comparable to using an AI to generate an entire TF2 Scout guide? I guess there's only one way to find out!

Again, please don't use this to post your own guide. The guides page is bad enough as it is, we don't need to add even more spam to the pile.

Oh, yeah, who could ever forget about our favorite subclasses: Fat Scout, Mildly Overweight Scout, Scottish Scout, Pan Scout, ScoutKnight, Long-Ranged Scout, Healing Scout, Battle Scout and Battle Scout 2, and Scunt.
Oh yeah, and everyone's favorite: Scout's Dad.

Red: "Oh! Oh! Now I'm getting it! Now I'm getting it!"
[He is suddenly cut off by Heavy]
Heavy: "So, we still got problem... Right? Shit!"
[The RED Spy stands up, bleeding profusely from the head]
      Red Spy: "Guards! Guards! Go!"
[A small door on the opposite side of the room swings open, revealing another RED Spy, who has been alerted by the sound of fighting and backs away, with the Sniper and Medic following. He whispers to his partner]
Red Spy: "He'll be running for a while..."
[Red Spy raises his revolver to"
      Soldier: "Big problem..."
Red: "Oh, hold on... Big fucking problem!"]
[Red uses his claws and grabs the RED Spy, and begins choking him, while the RED Spy struggles to fight against him. The RED Spy, however, eventually becomes weak enough to be subdued, as both of them begin to disappear as they continue to struggle with one another, until Red screams, "No!" as he pushes the RED Spy away, and the RED Spy gets a good look at the huge GUNMEN guarding the exit. The RED Spy screams "Uh!" as he runs to the wall opposite the RED Spy and hides behind it, with the GUNMEN continuing to "beef" over the situation.

I decided to give it the Meet the Medic Script, behold:
      Scout: "No, sir."
[The Medic looks at his screen, and sees the current Mission ID is 2-4-2. Medic flips a switch, and the screen fades out.]
[Seconds later, the Medic is standing in front of a cross on the battlefield, in red robes, wearing a red mask with three dots for eyes, and carrying a candle, which he tosses in the air. He tosses it to a brazier in the distance.]
      Medic: "Hippolyta!"
      Archimedes (Off-screen): "Trigon!"
[The candle glows red and smoke rises from the brazier, obscuring the Medic's face and burning his robe]
      Medic: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
[Medic turns his head to look at Medic, and is revealed to be Archimedes, holding a sword of flame in his mouth.]
Archimedes (off-screen): "Put the candle down and step back, before I find you."
Medic (off-screen): "Oh, um, I just, uh, just a moment! A quick question."
[The Medic's face disappears, and the scene changes. Medic and Archimedes exchange fire]
Archimedes (off-screen): "We are dead. You are not.

I did it myself with Pyro weapons:
In this guide, you will know the stats of each and every of Pyro TF2's weapons, which one to choose, and finally, how you use them. We will break this guide up into 3 sections.
This first section will explain what each weapon does, what are their default weapons and items, and how they differ to each other.
This second section will explain how to use each of these weapons, using our tool which we will help you to customise them, and play to best effect.
Finally, the last section will show you the best results you can get, and explain how to customize them further.
WARNING: The SMG's are quick and powerful. Use with care.
Disassembly - What is in the barrel, and how do you change it?
Click the weapon you want to see here:
    Rifle:
Some handguns have a rear sight
Some SMGs have a sight on the top
    The M4A1 does not.
    Disassembly
    (Optional)
    Glass Break
A glass break is a special, small piece of glass that you use to break your weapons (the M4A1 doesn't have one). If you want to break your weapon, you have to knock the glass out. To do this, you need to get the glass to a point where it can't fall out anymore.
To knock the glass out, you need a very precise angle, as it can't move inwards or outwards. Ideally you will want a 2-4k drop, or 1-2k drop, depending on the damage you want to do. Here's a video showing how to knock the glass out.
Or, if you don't want to break the glass, you can skip this section and just destroy the barrel by running a tool into it to see how much of the weapon is removed.
    Disassembly Tools
Glass Break - This tool disposes of the glass from the weapon. It is the smallest, most basic, tool in the game. The tool is orange.
There are no fragments for the Glass Break, or barrel cutting. The glass can cut, or it can break, but it can't do both at the same time.
Brumpler - This tool disposes of the Brumpler attachment.
The Brumpler is a very small spring-loaded clamp. It doesn't inflict any damage to the weapon, but there is no other use for it. It is completely transparent.
    Blaster:
Some SMGs have a rear sight, and most of them have a sight on the top. The lowers see a little difference, for example the Mini AK-74 has a sight on the top, but the DSA SMG has no sight on the top.
Rifle - The other kind of scope
The Mini AK-74 has a rear sight and a sight on the top.
The DSA SMG has no rear sight, and the upper sight is a dot, like a scope. The dot usually goes on top, but sometimes it goes on the left.
In this section, we will show you the stats for each of the three types of scope, and how to replace them.
Brumpler - This item is transparent, and leaves no trace of itself on the weapon.
On top, it has an orange trigger, and two "rings", which indicate where the angle is.
On the bottom, it has an orange trigger, and two "rings", which indicate where the angle is.
    Top
This item has an orange trigger.
Rings - This item has an orange trigger.
    Bottom
This item has an orange trigger.
    Smg:
This weapon has a rear sight and a sight on the top. The right side of the weapon shows if there is a dot or a ring on the scope.

Well, I asked an AI to predict TF3. Let’s see it :)
    Intro (me):
Valve had finally done it. They counted to three. Because of this, they finally released Team Fortress 3, or TF3. This is a review going over every new feature, map, character and more! This is truly an amazing game, and let’s begin the review.
    AI:
    Features
The game is awesome and really innovative. It is the first TF game on console, and it rocks hard! And it will continue to rock hard, especially if you pick up a cheat mod to turn down the sound. And that is about it. Let’s get to the actual features.
Now that this game has been released, they can no longer deny the modding community any longer. Well, they have definitely managed to do that, and actually create a modding tool. Valve, known for how much they love the modding community and all their support for the people who are making them a lot of money. And that support is there. Using a tool similar to all other video games, the community has created mods for TF3, one for each class. And they all look pretty damn amazing. Which is pretty damn amazing for a modding community.
Each class has their own unique look, one would be pretty hard pressed to tell the difference between one game and the next.
As you would expect, this game is a FPS, albeit with different takes on the classic gameplay. In fact, the entire game takes place on the same set.
TF3 puts you in a vast amount of different, vastly different maps. The maps are incredibly varied, and almost look like a different game, with each map making up one long journey that is worth seeing.
From arctic post apocalyptic zones, to miles of red sand, each map is a new and different experience.
The game is broken into the four classes that are associated with the hats, and when the game starts, you choose a class. You may need to play as two classes, or you can play as an even two. Once you pick a class, you spend the next 20-30 minutes in the deathmatch or free-for-all modes. You will not go crazy with maps, and you will need to play a good amount of TF3 in order to find the maps that will be fun for you. Which is a challenge, and I will get into why in a little bit.
There are a variety of characters that you can play as. This game is truly split up into different story lines, each story line that lasts for about three or four months. Each character is different, and I spent about three or four hours trying out each character.
The characters you play as are very interesting, our favourite being the Heavy, or a 6ft 200lb lady. The other characters are the Scout, the Pyro, the Medic, the Sniper, the Heavy and the Spy. There are many different weapons, and the toys you have with you for free-for-all or deathmatch have distinct personalities.
You can customize the fire with different colours, and with different effects. For instance, you can see your own blood on the bottom.
This game takes many different forms, and is jam packed with content, to say the least. There are a ton of different game modes, and a lot of maps. And the developers have really paid close attention to detail. Every detail, and especially the textures and models in this game are spot on.
No joke, in the very beginning when I was just testing out the game, I took my character and jumped onto a train. Just as I leapt onto the train, the roof exploded. The damage was that good.
I could write a lot more, but I will stop here for now.
    More content
I’ve said it many times, and I’ll say it again. This game is a goldmine for content. I have absolutely spent hundreds of hours on TF3, and I am not done. It has, however, taken me about half of the game to get to the point where I think this game is at its best, which is when you are playing alone. There are a lot of people in TF3.
Now, I am sure many of you are wondering how I am able to spend so much time on such a small amount of content. It is because you are able to play alone in all multiplayer modes. The only multiplayer mode that you do not get to play is free-for-all, which is the deathmatch.
Before you play TF3, be sure to read the previous reviews.
This review was put together with the update on March 24.

I'm so glad that this Scout Tf2 guide has graced my life with now the ability to do such actions as grenade. and sniper. This guide is going to change you from a standard sniper by getting a scout Tf2 (or better yet, you get two Sniper Tf3s).
This allows you to put out the blast of a sniper sniper (or to go "bang the shit out of it") or by using a sniper's kit that has a lot of movement and a lot of good moves for them. Since the kit has a little over 800 skill points and a lot of movement as well as the sniper does just enough to actually put out the explosion, there is no pressure to make sure he gets his shots to the right area.
If the situation calls for a lot of movement just use his "Move" and use the Move ability to move. If a Scout has no movement or you really want to move or you're a diehard of the move, you can just use his ability and put some of your own movement into hitting the grenade.
You only need to use these two abilities once and then take control of the action, which is very important when setting up the grenade launcher. If both do what they are meant to do and then the grenade goes off (I recommend you do this because you are going to die easily and in my opinion it's much more powerful without having to wait around after the explosive comes back on the grenade.

Thank you for this guide to playing scout tf2 class in team fortress 2!
    tl;dr - divebot plays scout tf2 class
You'll need at least two other team members to allow you to complete the guide
The scout is a simple class that gets in- and out-scouted by everyone, yet the vast majority of inexperienced players rely solely on the enemy scouting and make stupid attacks on buildings with zero repercussions.
The scout is hard to role and it requires a particular playstyle to learn to survive. Also the scout gets attacked a lot - using tanks as your tank in scouts play and staying safe from incoming projectiles is a must.
Tanks are way too fragile against it.

    Intro
Welcome to the ultimate TF2 Scout guide! This guide will show you tips and tricks about your favorite fast Bostonian. If you’re looking for comprehensive TF2 guides for all classes, be sure to check out our Guides section!
While your actions can certainly kill you, don’t forget that it can also give you the edge to get ahead on the scoreboard! As a scout, you have some incredible options for putting out the smack in your team, and you’ll need to understand what each one does!
    Open Wide (or Tight)
    Which weapons to choose
When playing TF2 Scout, you'll need to pick your weapons carefully. You can go up to four on your combo mouse, and that isn't counting bots, so you'll be using them as much as you can. The main two are the Scattergun, which is the perfect balance of being high damage and low rate of fire. It's also a weapon that's suitable for players with a decent hand-eye coordination.
For the sniper class, the Bazaar Bargain is an excellent weapon. Not only is it high damage, it also fires at 1.6 seconds which is ideal for covering space while remaining accurate. However, it can be frustrating for players who enjoy using secondary weapons since it will most likely be used by the sniper's opponents.
In the next chapter, we'll look at the pistols.
Your character’s primary weapon is the Sniper Rifle.
Your secondary weapon is the Bolt Action Rifle.
Your weapon of choice is the Flak Gun.
The recoil of a Sniper Rifle is approximately that of a Pistol.
    General tips and tricks
As TF2 Scout, there are many tips and tricks you will need to know to successfully engage in combat. Fortunately, due to the way in which a Scout gains their abilities, there is an enormous amount of knowledge you can glean from this class alone. To begin, this article will cover the basic general knowledge of both the class, and all the information you will need to effectively play as a Scout in TF2.
This is the most important tip I can give you, and it’s the one you’ll hear the most, whether from anyone else or yourself. You have two options when you get that first grenade: you can either use it or keep it for yourself, as you’ll inevitably need it again later. In all honesty, when you get the first one, you’ll probably feel like that’s your only option, so don’t get discouraged if you have to keep the first grenade for yourself. It doesn’t really matter which one you choose, but you should always try to keep that first one.
    Conclusion
Playing TF2 Scout can be easy once you get the hang of it. You’re not great at aiming, but you’ll be fine. When you are scouting for a position, most of the time the way to gain vision and get it is to fire into the air and to cause the surrounding walls to bounce a little bit when you shoot. If you are careful you can use your ammo on bouncing walls, and the rocket will be stopped when it goes out of the walls. The air is all smoke and sand, so with the Rocket Punch you can clear all the smoke and sand away and still hit stuff.
    Thanks for reading my guide!

TF2 Medic drops Those of you who have played the Pyro mod TF2 Medic may have noticed that medics are loaded into any class, even the Pyro one. This is because the Medic isn’t supposed to be a “specialist” like a Sniper, with an individual set of skills designed for a certain role. The same is true for the Smuggler and Demoman, as well as any other class that gets (or has been given) a medic item. As such, they usually bring a kit that isn’t particularly suited to their playstyle. The Medic character’s item description says that you shouldn’t use it on a class that is “too good” at using that class’s skills. In other words, don’t use your Medic on your sniper. But all’s fair in love and war, so there are exceptions to be made. First off, if you’re a Medic who likes to play safe and not cause problems in the lines of fire, your best option is to leave the Medic kit on the Engineer. This gives you a gun that is at least somewhat suited to the Engineer’s “Projectile Operation” role, which is one of the hardest to find weapons to get the needle out of when the Engineer isn’t firing at you. Second, there are numerous Specialist items in the game that can be used by any class, but often they have some sort of effect that makes the item better for that class. So, for example, a Skewer Rifle is designed to work with the Engineer. For a Skewer Rifle to be good for the Medic, it needs to be cheap, low-powered and an accessory item. If you use a Skewer Rifle as a Medic, it won’t be doing much damage. In fact, if you compare it to a Sniper’s Sniper Rifle, there isn’t much difference. That said, it may be more comfortable to use as a Medic, because you’re less likely to get frustrated by being hit. You’ll also be less likely to flinch and potentially run up behind the enemy. One final thing to note is that this is a fairly recent addition to the Medic kit. In the past, if you had a Skewer Rifle, you would have been able to use the same gun as an Engineer. At present, this includes a needle launcher and a laser, which was added in patch 6.71 as a Medic exclusive item. Combo System Many TF2 players know what a combo is, but the “combo” system isn’t just a power-up. It’s actually a way to categorize how a weapon affects your enemy’s movements. There are two main types of combos: long range and close range. For example, if you aim down a weapon’s sight, a long range combo will make the enemy walk away and never come back. Cuts and Chains The character that is cut is the one that ends up taking more damage. You can see where this comes from: if you have a long range combo and one of the enemies that falls is a close range one, you’re taking more damage than they are. This is why it’s important to look at what your character is doing in order to best compliment your playstyle. A knife user who is slicing his way through an enemy? Use the rapid-fire knife to cut the enemy’s head off before they can fire their weapon, killing them instantly. A knife user that is.

How to play tf2 scout without even using a rifle
There are many different ways to play scout. A common way to play scout is to sneak in with the same patterns every game, but it's actually far more fun to use a variety of techniques and to become more efficient at running in and out of bases.
In this article, I will be exploring the importance of position and zoning, how to setup shop and collect goods, how to build traps, how to set up gasses and how to set up nexus shields.
I will also be discussing the strat that my team use most frequently, one that has been very successful for me.
Three basics - location, position, timing
Every one of these players is running around with their camera set to a static position. As soon as they are within range, they enter the back rooms to build or collect goods. For instance, Peter can set up shop by the hotkey "S", standing by the stairs. Jesse, as well as Peter, can choose to set shop up by the statue in the first room by the stairs, also with the "S" command.
Josh is setting shop up by the statue in the first room, as shown in the screenshot above.
The main goal is to ensure that the other team knows where everyone is and where the player is at all times. I will be providing a link to the scout maps that we use, but you can also change the way that the scout looks to give the enemy team additional information about your location. For instance, Peter sets up shop in the dark room with a light placed on top. If he's not there, it's easy for the enemy to spot him or to know where the man is. So instead, you can set up shop by the entrance and in the other room if you want to take that precaution.
Don't be afraid to zone, The tf2 scout is the scout equivalent of a tank
Sometimes, when you're playing scout, you can't get a good position in an opening before the enemy scouts you. That is okay, because as long as you aren't at full health, it's okay. When you start the game, you want to drop a few basic items to ensure that you don't have to fight, which will prevent you from being called for a fight right off the bat. When you're running, it is quite normal to set yourself up to have more health than your opponents. This will allow you to get better position and look for drops, which can lead to a big lead in the early game. Don't be afraid to zone your opponents so they don't know what you're doing, and use that to your advantage.
This is Jesse getting ready to drop a box of bricks in the sewer near the 2nd base.
A popular trick for escaping a drop. As soon as Jesse lands, he sets up shop just behind the hatch, near the area where the soldier is going to drop next.
Another approach that I use to survive early game when I'm on the run. By giving the enemy a few seconds to realize that the lone scout is actually alive, I can setup shop and escape the map while they're forced to quickly backtrack.
In order to be good at playing scout, you have to be good at timing. Time your drops so that you can sneak up on an enemy and make the drop, and if you can get back to your shop or get some items out of your other shop, the enemy will probably not suspect you have been there. You can use your window of opportunity to lure the enemy scout into a trap, one that might not be immediately obvious, and only then take the fight to the enemy. A good example of this is Jesse jumping out of the window, running towards his shop and starting a grenade to call in the other 2 scouts.
So you think you're hot shit huh? Yeah right! You can never be sure with a soldier, when they run towards the spawn point to start their runs. A soldier runs at full speed, can barely see what's around them and can't move quickly if they want to WHEN THE IMPOSTOR IS SUS THEN ARE IN THE BACK DOOR.
Be careful who you tell, if you haven't told them, they might run into trouble.
Using scout to sneak up on an enemy or to use the person as bait can work quite well to call in a teammate. If you're on the first or second player on your team, and you have some good positioning on the person that the enemy is trying to get into the secret room, you can bait them into running to the wrong room and then ambush them with someone from your team that is waiting by the first room.
This is Peter throwing a grenade at the enemy scout
Another common tactic that I've seen is to lure a sniper into a room with the player by the backdoor and to set up shop in the dark room. It can be difficult to take advantage of this, as the player by the backdoor can easily spot the sniper and will likely kill him before the player sets up shop, but there is still a chance for it to work. If the soldier from the backdoor finds himself trapped in a corner, he might have a chance to catch the player from the backdoor by surprise and overpower him before setting up shop in the dark room.
You gotta do what you gotta do...
