if the BAC2000 takes up to 72VDC why are you only using a 14s battery? Doesn't quite look like its up to the job. That '5000w motor' will chew through that 620wH pack pretty quick.
I am also skeptical about the battery being able to sustain 100A discharge in the first place.

Hi are the rotor magnets mechanically fixed on the gen2 or still bonded like the gen1. The gen1 had problems with the bonded magnets falling off running max volts through them..

I said the same thing. Can you imagine the compact washing machine with Commercial power we could have?
Now if it had liquid cooling on the motor I would trust that it could do even 20000 W with superconductor magnets and materials.

Please do a video on the ExtremeBull K5 7kw mini bike.... It looks like a Razor Crazy Cart but on steroids, it's a low riding dual motor (3500w each) and does around 50mph.
Let me see how this model looks and if I can get it now.

It's raining 🌧 in nyc for all week and also next week. We will mount on the bikes we shown we will. If you have suggestions send us the frame and we will install and test.
Pretty curious how they get 5000 W to go through a motor that even Abb robotics can't achieve that small. The windings aren't even that packed.

EV motors have two rateings, continous wattage and surge, 5000w is just a surge rateing.
@@daleerickson520 It's no different than anything else that has surge And surge suppression. Is no different than an amplifier or anything else with a capacitance or a charge. The initial arc, spark of peak. I understand that. And that's why I just like with car amplifiers it's BS number. When your car shifts hard hard at a high RPM we don't rate that and put that on the Box saying it has 500 horsepower at peak. When it's only 230.

You need to do the test with the kit battery not a 72v battery, that motor is going to run very hot at 5kw continuous although with a 600ah battery your not going to be running it for very long at 5kw a few minutes maximum, also those packs sag terribly under heavy loads, at extensive high loads and high temps if the motor has an temp sensor it will cut out to protect the motor, if it's run without protection the heat will weaken the magnets and possibly damage the coils, I've seen the magnets come loose with excessive heat, also solder joints often fail on the winding connections.
One thing you will learn is not to trust the specs of Chinese made equipment, look at all those 10 watt walkie talkies on eBay that are actually just a few watts, I've been dealing with China with this ebike stuff for over 20 years now and was the first person to use lipo packs made for ebikes and the bmc motors, this was back in 2003, best of luck.

Cant see for sure but that appears to be an XT60 power connector, only rated to 60amps. If you run the motor at full surge of 5000w (assumed as I dont see any written spec on surge) on that and your pulling 96amps and the connector wont last long. Should be upgraded to XT90 at least, if its not already. The spec sheet shows 51v at 12Amps and that is 612w so the XT60 would be fine at that level. BTW most motors I have seen are surge rated at 2-4 times their continous rateing, not 10x
Xt60 does not have anti spark! It appears you don't know what you are commenting on and I specified what connector there is.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace I use XT60 and XT90 connectors all the time, they heat up and melt the plastic housing.
All CYC kits & batteries come with XT90 connectors standard

Twelve amp is very weak. VERY VERY VERY weak. My battery is 400A.
you can place 2 in parallel. It is designed compact and light. It should give 50 to 70mph so faster than any production I have seen so far.

My 25 aH battery can do 400A... 24amps is nothing in comparison.
