    i love this video... after 1995 championship vishy didnt win even a single classical game against kasparov,although vishy won chess oscar 6 times(given to best player of the year) during kasparov at the top but somehow vishy couldnt do it against kasparov after that 1995 championship, in one of the interviews vishy said whenever he played kasparov he wasnt confident in his moves so there was lot of double checking plus kasparov was an opening monster in those but vishy wasnt that great in opening in 90's, infact vishy was called coffee chess player by some cause vishy's opening prep was not up to mark in those days....in 1998 korchnoi said strength wise both are equally strong, in jacob aagaard book " thinking inside the box" jacob said vishy is equal in strenght to kasparov nd carlsen but its just that vishy didnt beleive in himselft when he fought them championship. untill 2011 vishy had upper hand against carlsen but after that he lost his form nd lost so many games against carlsen, there classical score is still 12 wins for carlsen nd 8 wins for vishy considering last 10yrs carlsen is at his peak nd vishy is out of prime this is remarkable, grishcuk once in chess24 said if fide world rapid championships were held in 90's vishy would have won atleast half a dozen(vishy won unofficial rapid championship 11 times(frankfurt rapid championship which is not conducted by fide) nd 2 times fide rapid championship, its a curse for vishy that his career is sandiwitched btw no 1 nd no 2 chess players of all time(kasparov nd carlsen) althought since 1995 no one has won more tournaments then anand except now carlsen

      Hope the world recognises the talent Vishy had! I know they do, but I too think they don't rate him so high as compared to carlsen and Kasparov which is absurd.

    • @anthhhess3477
      @anthhhess3477 10 місяців тому +16

      What was the point of this long winded rant! Yes Kasparov was better than vishy when has anyone denied it. But it's also a fact that Kasparov didn't play vishy during vishy's peak period(2005-12). Kramnik(who defeated Kasparov in the unofficial world championship) was defeated twice by vishy and kramnik said that during that time if Kasparov had played vishy, vishy would've got the upper hand but Kasparov had already gone into retirement. Also, no point comparing Carlsen and vishy cuz both had a 20 yr age difference when vishy lost his world championship match in 2013. Vishy was 43 then which is considered extremely old age for chess players, in fact vishy might be the only player who played at that level at such advanced age, he won the rapid world championship too in 2018 against Carlsen.

      He's old now. He have lot of Family Pressure nowadays. I still say, Look on Previous Game, Anand was unstoppable in last Tournament but sadly he had 1 Draw and 1 lost against Carlsen, 2 Matches against Carlsen in same Tournament eventhough it wasn't Semi, Final, Quarter.

    So many chess commentators are not yet reconciled to the fact that Anand is a champion material. Even after four decades, they are damn quick to highlight week moves but clever enough to sidetrack brilliant moves.
    Its plain simple try to accept and acknowledge that Anand is not only great Chess Player but single handedly destroyed chess hegemony of then USSR which is inspired many from rest of the world to become chess greats.

    Really an outstanding video!!! The way you add the original footage along with the analysis of the game is really a unique and interesting way to keep the viewers engaged in the video. I'm sure one day, quite soon, you will definitely make it to 10 million subscribers. Just a small suggestion if you don't mind, please improve the thumbnails a bit maybe try going a bit simple. Instead of adding the comic word containers you could just keep it plain and simple with photos. It's totally upto you though, whatever you are comfortable with. That said all of your videos are just great. Keep it up!!!👏👏

    Thanks for analysing this game!
    People often compare Anand with Kasparov! Although Kasparov has win more games i.e. superior, yet I feel Anand is more patient, consistent and pioneer especially if you belong to non-chess playing nation.
    Note:- modern chess has ironically nothing to do with origination of game.

      Yes, Anand ji has done more for the popularity of chess and teaching a new generation than Kasparov. Maybe even more than Prof.Botwinnik. And his character is that of an outstanding Brahmin.

      Lol it has nothing to do with origination of game 😂 in fact chess is one of the only games whose basic structure has not changed much since it was invented in India. Also, India had the likes of Moheshchunder Banerjee and Sultan Khan but sadly it was not incentivised by the govt machinery like in USSR. Vishy single handedly spawned a chess revolution in India, for that he should be given Bharat Ratna.

      There is no "luck" in chess. He lost because he overlooked what should be a fairly obvious move at that level. No one forced him to take it with the queen.

    While this video was entertaining, maybe don’t throw around “PTSD” for the sake of entertainment. It’s a serious disorder and is quite traumatic for those who have it. Additionally, folks with PTSD don’t exactly appreciate this use either :/

      Thanks for your comment, I decided to use "PTSD" because it's quite clearly hyperbole in this title. I probably wouldn't have used it, if it weren't for the fact that Vishy obviously doesn't have PTSD. People who know what PTSD is will get that I'm exaggerating, people who don't know will do a quick google search to fine out what it means (yay for PTSD awareness). That said, I get that folks suffering might find this usage a bit insensitive so I'll think about that fosho.
