Carr was overall a top 10 qb in a season considered a down year and was top 5 in every stay the last 6 games, he led the league in tds, rating and td/int ratio once michael thomas wasnt on the field demanding targets
He also was playing through broken ribs last year
That first game vs Tampa was brutal tho
He shouldnt have played, it was obvious that his shoulder wasnt 100%
Yeah he was hurt
He is really good WHEN he has a decent receiver AND doesn't have to worry about his protection
To be fair no QB was successful under Josh Mcdaniels as a head coach. With the Saints he had his struggles and you could see his frustration . But the entire team seemed to be having that same issue. The defense gave up a lot of first half points. Kamara was getting tackled pretty easily, Thomas was going Antonio Brown on social media, Winston didn't seem like he was a team player. I dont think Dennis Allen is a very good head coach, but coaches coach and players play...there was enough blame to spread around accross the board for their struggles.
Carr isn't the best but people kept saying he should have been benched for Jameis, Mariota etc. The hate is weird. Especially with how god awful Jimmy G was in his footsteps.
I will say Carr is allergic to the redzone for some reason and makes some head scratching throws when he's behind late in the game.
I love DC and I think he was a great quarterback and maybe still is. As a Raiders fan though I did feel like it was time to move on. I expect him to be better with the saints next year and shut down some of the haters. The fact that renfro hasn't signed there yet is shocking to me
I think is fair to give him two years but come on a repeat performance of his first year I’ll fire him into the sun myself
All josh mcdaniels fault, was a dumbass for not letting carr and adams have another season together
@@User-jv1gd. And Adams in 15 games had more 30+ yard TD receptions than he had in all those years with Rodgers. But he is Carrbage to the silly fans.
Carr got so much better once Michael Thomas was off the field.
So not booty juice just booty
Dc is the GOAT
On that interception, he was getting pressure and couldn’t step up in the pocket and that linebacker gambled underneath and made a play.
All QB’s throw interceptions. But Carr has always been low in interceptions. He is not an interception machine like Allen.
Much ado about an average NFL QB.
Saints in 2022 were so bad their season was over before the bye week. They were 5-9 and had lost to the Bucs twice. Season over by December. Carr made them competitive again.
Hes now the 3rd best QB in the South
I tell people this
Im here to tell you he wasnt bros
Carr is what he is. If the O-line can give him time and he's comfortable in the pocket, he plays like a top 10 QB....if he's under pressure he folds like a cheap suit.
Top 15*
Not really. He’s actually one of the best QB’s under pressure with his quick release. Against the blitzing Ravens in 2021 he put up over 400 yards and beat them with a walk off TD in OT under an all out blitz.
@@pbm8264 we in 2024 bro
@@jokerworld9707 I was making an example. He’s still the same guy. That was 2 seasons ago. And I only mentioned that because Purdy cannot handle the blitz and threw 4 interceptions against the Ravens 3 games before the end of the season and choked under the blitz in the SB. And the Ravens defense is always good and they always blitz which makes this a good comparison.
He was fine, but his ball placement especially on deep balls was really bad, he limited a ton of explosives with his accuracy alone. He had a bunch of bad mistakes in big moments. O line didn’t help early but I can’t think of a single really big play from Carr himself. Most completions he had this year were ones you’d expect
