Chasing Big Bluegills, CAUGHT a BIG SURPRISE!!! (Cut my thumb, almost had to stop fishing)

Explored a new lake for bluegills, searched weed bed shallows and weed edge areas off of deeper water, looking for big bluegills. I caught a lot of smaller sized ones and few pretty good sized ones from 9 to 9.5 inches... but I haven't gotten that elusive 10+ inch gill yet this ice season. I also caught a couple bonus pike and let me tell you, they are a battle on an ultralight rod. Now, I don't like touching Northerns too much, I don't like the smell or slime, but I do enjoy the fight they put up as they peel drag and bend over the rod. I ended up getting cut by the last one that I caught in this video, I was showing it off for too long and tried to show it's under belly, so it was of my own doing. I almost had to stop fishing because of it, the bleeding just wouldn't stop. I even asked 2 guys that were a few hundred yards away if they had any tape or band aids, they both searched their stuff for me... but each had nothing. I remembered that some of my reels are attached to the rods with electric tape, so I took some off of one and used it... it was enough to stop the bleeding and allow me to keep fishing.
