HOW DID I CATCH my FIRST WALLEYES thru the ICE?!! (Mille Lacs Lake Ice Fishing)

I went out to Mille Lacs Lake on a very foggy morning and caught my first ever walleyes through the ice! I have caught walleyes in open water a few times, but never thru the ice, especially on my own. I also caught Tullibees and one perch.
I used 1/8 oz Gold Lindy Quiver Spoon on my jigging rod, which was Precision Rod by TUCR and large tungsten simcoe bug by SiFlies, tipped with a red maggot as my deadstick, which was my Bullwhip made by TUCR.
I have to say, it was an exhilarating time and I can definitely see myself trying to go for them more during the ice season, for future ice seasons. There’s something different about pulling a nice sized walleye through an 8 inch hole! Hope you enjoy the video 👍🏼
