Vlad talking about beats. Nas raps on beats that other rappers can't touch. Nas grew up listening to all kinds of shit. The fact he can make a song and rap on any beat should say a hell of a lot. Anybody can be motivated from a good ole boom bap beat. I'm impressed by what beats Nas has chosen. King's Disease is a dope album I know he used Hitboy but he had to choose which beats he wanted to use on there. Nas is a true emcee
Nas has rapped on some great beats, too. "Theif's Theme", "Made You Look", "Street Dreams" (although used by many), "Hip Hop is Dead", "Sly Fox", "Just a Moment", "Hate Me Now", "If I Ruled the World", "My Style", "MC Burial". Some of my favs.
1. Vlad dont like It Was Written.....hes buggin like a mofo!!!! Nas best album to a lot of ppl and his biggest selling. 2. Nas' dad is a jazz artist. He grew up in a jazz house. His beats are more jazzy than hiphop often. 3. Jay makes more songs he knows will get radio and club play. Nas dont care about that as much or he do more of those type beats
For the record when it comes to hip hop Vlad is not a credible source . So disregard him he is a culture vulture. He can tell us about Russia but never about our culture or hip hop. With all due respect Vlad you are a student and visitor. Not to mention you're on different frequency from us. PS Give the people you interview some tangibles, if you're not a vulture prove it..
where's the diss?! He has an opinion and expresses it. He critiques Nas' work. He doesn't diss Nas personally. Only an immature dumbass doesn't get the difference.
It's kinda sick that Vlad is so giddy saying he called out Nas' beats to Ron Browz's face when he clearly defended Nas and even mentioned his mom being sick at the time. And then Salaam said straight up "he don't give a fuck what you think." Vlad cool but he corny on this one.
I just think it's funny how he can talk all this shit about Nas being the worst beat picker, but he still liked "Cops Shot the Kid", which is one of the worst beats Nas has ever rapped on.
I think Vlad need to get into that album collection of his and count up how many garbage beats Jay went with. I love Jay. He's got classics up the ass... but there is a bunch of gar-baj filling in the gaps there too. Going back to Vol 1, 2, and 3, Blueprint 2, Kingdom Come, Magna Carta What The Fuck.. there's a lot of trash. I'm not saying there aren't bangers in there. I'm just saying there's a lot of sideways shit in between them. I don't know if it's as much as Nas... but it's enough to make this debate pointless. Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint, and Black Album are top shelf production, though. (Thank you, Captain Obvious)
Vol. 2 and 3 had dope beats and a lot of his best songs ever. Even Vol. 1 had some bangers. I do agree that the rest of those albums had wack beats, but Vol. 2 and 3 was when Jay really came into his own musically.

Jay Ant Exactly, and it’s easy to criticize creative people, but Nas had take those risks, explore, and try things. Like, c’mon Nas is the musical genius, not Vlad. Stop acting like you know more than the greats.
Kwame Cobb I knew you guys would bring up Daz because he's a liar. Daz's credits are there and he only produced a few songs on The Chronic and Doggystyle while Dre did the majority. @@supremevictory4310 wrong. When you have an advanced beat it oversaturates the lyrics. People so In tuned to the music they block out the words. Therefore I absolutely *LOVE* when he hops on the mic...sooo many classic joints. Much respect, love, and *_BIG_* salute to The Mad Scientist.
VLAD loves this goofy topic so much. I wouldn't doubt if he only interviewed Large Pro just so he can tell him he thinks Nas is a wack beat picker.
@vmm12 wow!
JayZ has wack beats too, is not just Nas
It was written was a classic!
@vmm12 the hook isn't good but the beat bangs and it's lyrically one of the best tracks.
L1am21 his verses on that shit were crisp.

VLADIMIR wtf do you listen too Nas's 1st 3 albums are classics all the beats was dope
Josey's Boy Records/Filmz I am was dope
@@MRHIPHOPVEGAN No doubt
I like that fact that TK Kirkland has such a rich history that ppl can clown in the comment section 😂😂😂
Jay Flack Hate Me Now is awful!
Vlad is on crack for that
It ain't hard to tell
@@chrismclaren75 A lie
But Jay's beats for his album cuts go hard.
Talk ya shit facts
dont respect his view points but respect that man for the insight this culture has gained from these interviews
Yes! I only watched this to see what this Vlad punk would say. A culture vulture. I won't watch another video of his again.
@@dingolaystar3873The only reason I watch is because he interview some legends . For example Large Professor
I totally agree with Vlad regarding the beats. I mean the excuse of wanting to flow over wack beats for a challenge makes no sense.
Aaron9 : Based on your response, your dumbass couldn’t list the production on “Illmatic” without first checking out Wikipedia. Bitch ass.
I don't I know but I think The 7 day theory has not got the best beats, but imo it's a class album.
Nas is one of best beat pickers of all time. VLAD just got white ears. And thats not a slight at vlad, just a fact.
Nigga said white ears 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Trill spill!
WORD! HAHAHA... That boy makes hip hop, not pop bottles and get a section music or strip club music...its simply high quality LYRICAL hip hop.
Yo Vlad, where the Kings Disease review? You been quiet g! Plus beefing with LJ, Mysonne, Godfrey. Wtf?
I swear Vlad has an inferiority complex when it comes to Nas. He can't diss his lyricism so he disses the beats instead.
where's the diss?! He has an opinion and expresses it. He critiques Nas' work. He doesn't diss Nas personally. Only an immature dumbass doesn't get the difference.
@@weworldwide1348 You seem genuinely upset by my comment. Sorry I hurt your feelings.
@@guyh6850 Ah, I see. You just dodged the question. So once again, where's the diss?
Rico Risken Unfortunately this is what gets him views and activity on his channel so he will keep doing it
It's kinda sick that Vlad is so giddy saying he called out Nas' beats to Ron Browz's face when he clearly defended Nas and even mentioned his mom being sick at the time. And then Salaam said straight up "he don't give a fuck what you think."
Vlad cool but he corny on this one.
Vlad how about you pick the beats for Nas Next album!! 🤔🤔 So that way Nas can coin you as the worst beat picker!!
That shit'll be so garbage LOL
Damnnn !!!
😂
I just think it's funny how he can talk all this shit about Nas being the worst beat picker, but he still liked "Cops Shot the Kid", which is one of the worst beats Nas has ever rapped on.
@@mistahmst it is the worst. it's one of the most annoying things I've ever heard it makes zone out sound like a masterpiece.
“Nas is coming” is the best wack song ever, while “it was written” is the best Nas album.
Best rapper, best album but shad is 10% right.
Real talk
Vol. 2 and 3 had dope beats and a lot of his best songs ever. Even Vol. 1 had some bangers. I do agree that the rest of those albums had wack beats, but Vol. 2 and 3 was when Jay really came into his own musically.
I introduced Carmen 2 Jay -Z after John Starks dunked on Jordan in the Garden , so I'm responsible for the Jay-Z VS. Nas beef - T.K. Kirkland
like Vlad are you some kind of closet stan of Nas? like for real he aint coming to your podcast, telecast, spacecast or outcast my dude..let this obsession go.
Drexel Rivers Nas won’t give him an interview lol
Yoo spacecast sounds cool af
Extra p! "You're da man" still one of my favorites
Eminem picks worse beatz
People want that illmatic, but if Nas had stayed on that illmatic, he’d probably be gone like the rest of the people from that era.
Exactly He'd be a legend amongst the hardcore heads like Cormega Mic Geronimo Canibus which is fine but obviously he'd prefer to have that and be recognised mainstream
Jay Ant Exactly, and it’s easy to criticize creative people, but Nas had take those risks, explore, and try things. Like, c’mon Nas is the musical genius, not Vlad. Stop acting like you know more than the greats.
Dr dre is over rated he can't make anything after the chronik and he had help with that
Dre is a legend and everybody has help especially if you're a super producer like he is. He's never taken credit either like you idiots say he does.
@@hiphoploverjon9180 Ask Daz
Kwame Cobb I knew you guys would bring up Daz because he's a liar. Daz's credits are there and he only produced a few songs on The Chronic and Doggystyle while Dre did the majority. Dre helped find Death Row and was the backbone to the label thus it falling apart when he left. Daz couldn't carry it. Y'all love to say Dre steals shit when I never heard DJ Yella, DJ U-Neek, Arabian Prince, Johnny J, Mel-Man, Scott Storch, Mike Elizondo, etc. say Dre steals shit. You only run with Daz's narrative which Pac got it from.

Kwame Cobb Nah, I just know my history hence my name.
Vlad: Nas is the worst beat picker of all time
Me: What is Nas is Like, Halftime, Ether, One Love, Project Roach, Get Down, Hip-hop is Dead..
Vlad get to 10 minutes really easy just play 2 old clips
He should just interview who he's interviewing.
Nas & Rakim are my 2 favorite MC's because I focus on their lyrics more than the beats. I like to read their lyrics
He didn't need a bangin beat to catch people's ears. His lyrics did it. True artist. Jayz and all them other niggaz mobb deep and most new niggaz out now make the beats carry there career.
iLLNIGMA I think so many of these new hit beats are wack too
It wouldve only enhanced his lyrics tho.
@@supremevictory4310 wrong. When you have an advanced beat it oversaturates the lyrics. People so In tuned to the music they block out the words. That's why lyrical rappers don't matter today because the beat carries them and the words don't matter. Only the hook. They mumble thru verse with kindergarten level words. Pay attention!!
@@illnigma pay attention? Naw sounds like u just like hearing his voice & what you said only applies for mumble rappers. Not Nas.a better beat would only widen the audience & thats not to say he needs to but hiphop isn't just lyrics rap started off with silly elementary lyrics.it was never honestly meant to be super philosophical anyway it actually meant to break dance to with that being said the beat matters.if Rappers Delite wouldve had bs beat rap or hiphop wouldve never took off.

@Black lodge please name me one song ?

After Dre stopped fully producing the albums, that shit is true.
