use a kraken drive instead. because of the way docking ports work you can use the magnetic attraction forces between 2 docking ports as a way to move without propulsion. just put a docking port on a piston facing another docking port and fine tune the piston length so that the docking magnets are engaged and boom you have a kraken drive. now all you need to do is mount it on a craft.
The firework propulsion at the end is a lot like project Orion, a space program that started with a blast plate that drops perfectly timed grenades behind it. The goal was to build a rocket that detonates nuclear explosions behind it to accelerate extremely quick

10:10 up top on the left you can see a collection of blue buttons in the hanger, one looks sorta like a hammer and sythe, in there you can select the ship part on the ship, and the command you want to control it, then add the part function you want (turn on turn off toggle) to the center cololem then that command will activate the parts
Ability to tune strength of components that can be activated (pistons, engines, etc.) And the bug allows you to set the strength of components way higher than 100% or way lower than 0% up to millions% or -millions%. Setting thrusters to negative power makes them generate fuel. While super powered thrusters can send you from kerbin to sol in seconds.
Editing is a bit heavy handed for my preferences this time around, but overall great video. Loved the idea of launching yourself with fireworks, I wonder if you could have turned off explosions by turning down Star Size to 0 similar to how you turned off trails by setting it to black.
Dude I started watching you yesterday and you had 260 k. But today you have 300k!?!?!? That's absolutely awesome mate. You deserve it man! Keep up the videos, extremely entertaining!
Been there done that when I did land on moon first time and the craft toppled over so it could not take of again... But the rescue craft had only room for 1 so I had to send even one more with more room. It was quite fun doing that and in the end all Kerbals managed to get back :)
fun fact: in the 50's 0r 60's i think, Freeman Dyson and some other physicists developed a explosion propulsion system for rockets, it was intended to use nukes but they used other explosives to prof of concept the theory, BTW it was never intended to use nukes on earth to move a rocket but on asteroids. Edit: the project was called "Project Orion"
11:47 To be entirely fair, engines are less efficient in thicker atmosphere, AND the thicker atmosphere causes more drag, AND there's more gravity closer to kerbin. That's why getting out of kerbin's atmosphere takes about as much delta-V as maneuvering to another planet then orbiting
if you want the fuel to run trough decouplers, you should try enabling crossfeed on them. (Rockets normally arent supposed to let fuel trough, so it is turned off)
Hey RCE there's this glitch with this thing called the kal-1000 controller you can basically make any engine really over powered you can also do the glitch with firework launchers and get amazing results😁
I’m pretty (mostly) sure that the glitch is to with the amount of data stored in each part. For example a fuel tank containing oxidiser and liquid fuel will cause kraken attacks more often than one containing just liquid fuel
Irl fireworks obviously won't work in space because of the 3 things fire needs to have to exist: fuel, oxygen and heat. It has fuel, it could have heat but it doesn't have oxygen, obviously...

Just a cool bit of history for you about you're firework propuslion system..... there was actually a concept design in the US many many many years ago that proposed basically that..... only instead of fireworks it was suggested that Nukes could be used...... the idea was abandoned, I suspect in part due to the concern of irradiating the planet, and also concern over the possible Russian reaction during the cold war if a US rocket overflew it dropping mini nukes in the atmosphere..... but there was a concept for it. If you want to know more, it was called Project Orion, there's plenty of info online about it these days.
Why it’s being super wiggly at 10:57 is because of the over correction caused by very massive gimbal range in the vector engines, if you turned it down that would fix it, awesome video definitely activated 100 % of my brain on to many occasions
