    I teach Automotive Engineering here in the UK. I use one of these at work and I carry one in my own car. Works brilliantly. Main advantage is that if you have a dead battery you don't have to go and find another car, you don't need long jumper leads and you don't have the problem of trying to park another car in front of yours, possibly blocking roads, while you get a boost.

    I wouldn't recommend keeping one of those in your vehicle all the time. Especially in the summer months and definitely not while plugged in to charge. I keep mine in my bag I take with me to work but then it also comes back home too. I only charge it every 3 or 4 months. I have a different brand but these things are all the same more or less.

    That's funny, my logic told me to turn it on and then hook it up. I don't read directions much either. If I get it I will definitely get the case now.

    Great video demonstration, I'm ordering one! Just curious, once you jump your dead battery how much charge is left on the power supply? Thanks :)

    Good demo. For some reason, there are some bullshit videos out there that don't do justice to the GB40. And, you didn't even have to go into over ride mode. Liked.

    Careful with storing those lithium powered jump starters in your vehicle in hot summertime. Those lithium batteries do not like heat. They can swell up and catch fire.

      bluelude2001 then how are you suppose to carry it in your vehicle to use for emergencies during the summer?

    • @bluelude2001
      @bluelude2001 4 роки тому +4

      @@ek8652 you don't. I mean you can but I wouldnt chance it. The literature that comes with the packs says dont expose to high heat. Cars interiors can get 130+ degrees in summer.

      It can withstand upto 60°C. Think that's still ok.

      If you can carry your smartphone in your car, you can also carry this. I know UA-cam is free, but sometimes the comments are ignorant.

    Nice product until it stops working. My GB 40 will not start a completely dead no crank, no start battery. Still useful for charging things around the house. Booster option does not work, even fully charged.

      No it does not. It jump start the car and you take it off the battery. That's the job of the alternator that's on your car to charge the battery. It can charge phone and other small electronic by USB.
