    I really enjoyed this video. I’m also trying to get better about using my time more effectively. Keeping my phone out of the studio has helped a ton.

    Replacing a vice with another vice: Holly keeps getting more relatable with every upload

      I think the building, sorting, designing vice is far more healthy and productive, while passive scrolling does negatively affect you. So while I love the comment, it is actually a very beneficial change if you can do it consistantly.

    • @ThomasReaper1
      @ThomasReaper1 26 днів тому +1

      @pinobluevogel6458 yes, I realize that. It's better to deviate and engage in activities, hobbies, or related stuff that either turns your brain off or allows you to relax. The comment was just for comedic purposes

    I left a review for the desert skiff on Lego website saying the price was obnoxious and Lego was no longer a toy for kids and alternative to screen time but a luxury item for only the most affluent kid in the class to show off.

      I think it’s very clear that this was intended to go alongside the new Jabba Sail Barge. So a dlc effectively. That being said yes it’s expensive but actually it’s a decent version of this build.
      At the end of the day this was on back order on day one and clearly selling well at retail.

    • @pinobluevogel6458
      @pinobluevogel6458 26 днів тому +2

      While I still think that Lego is a very useful and mindful toy for kids and adults alike, having it be a luxury item that is unaffordable for anyone but the very rich is very wrong. Is this Lego's fault specifically? Not really. We need a better monetary system that is not printable by governments and banks to fix these issues.
      The only thing Lego can do is try to have a broader price range and design many smaller sets that you can combine, so kids can save up a tiny bit for a small set and maybe complete the whole thing in a larger timeframe.

    I hate to have broken the 555 likes that looked so nice, but I do like this video a lot. As you stated in the end, if the only thing it does is make you feel more productive and have less 'wasted' time in your day that is a massive win. Especially if you can keep this up as normal routine. It only takes around 40 days to turn in it into such a habit that you no longer have to force yourself to do it.
    For anyone, doing a lot more building would also improve their building and designing skills, which is very nice. In your case, there is even the added effect of having more potential content made during these hours, requiring you to work less at other times, or having video topics (about something you created or did) lying around to make a video about. Mostly, the time you spend on your phone means very little. And while I realize watching videos like these is exactly doing the same, it does help put things in perspective.
    Personally I try to only watch content when I'm (just) waking up, as I cannot do anything productive anyways in that state and it eases me into the day with some coffee. And at the end of the day, as something relaxed to wind down. Watching a movie, or series or a sports game specifically, is far too 'active' for my brain, while watching Lego or Gaming content is actually very relaxing.

    LightMyBricks is very nice but their prices are RIDICULOUS. They have a quality product but not THAT much better than the competition that justifies the kits costing twice or three times what a light kit from someone else costs.
    It's ridiculous for them to often even ask for MORE than the actual LEGO set costs. So yeah. Thanks for the Promo code but it doesn't have off enough to justify a purchase of one of their overpriced light kits.
