I've listened to this song probably 250 times by now, and it's to the point I've remembered the drum arrangement for basically the entire song. I was wondering if anyone had done this, thank you!!
Hey! It's awesome to see friends from Japan commenting on my stuff! I don't actually play with any sheet music if that's what you mean. I usually just listen to the song and break everything down by ear. I do plan on releasing drum-only versions of songs in the future, and if there are enough recommendations, I can do specific song lessons for harder types of songs. Would you possibly be interested in me breaking down this song in a video?
Cody Conroy Nickelodeon today is being forced to make kids laugh it’s so sad I would rather them put on the reruns than watch this non funny shit I miss 2006-13 those we’re times when Nickelodeon for teens were good
Yooooo, what tab did you use? Or did you play by ear? I've been wanting to play this song for while and I think it would be pretty great for me chip away at this song over a few years to play for a few friends. Any tips you could maybe share for a beginner? Some nuances like the rhythm on the ride or the bass drums really stump me here, could you help out on those? I'd be more than grateful!
Yeah I play all the songs I cover by ear. I unfortunately don't know how to read music (although I really want to learn someday). I went for more of a swing groove on the ride and on the bass I mainly just kept a steady groove on beats 1 and 3. The snare parts I was just accenting 2 and 4 with the right hand and then when I felt like it would fit, I would add in a left hand accent on the "and" of 3 if that makes sense. I honestly don't really notice what I do when I play I kind of just play through the song until I'm comfortable, practice a few fills I think work well with the song, and then I hit record on all my cameras and go for it 😂 If I were you I would just listen to the song for like a day (what I usually do) and then just hop on your set and play away! While playing experiment with different grooves and fills until you can't help but smile through the entire song. That's the way I like to play and probably the way I will always play. Hope that helps
@@CodyConroy Yeah! That helps out a huge ton! Thanks for taking the time to answer man, I'll be sure work on this and to reach out for a hand when necessary. You mega-rock dude!

Sounds good man! I look forward to hearing your cover!
What microphones do you use?
Audio Technica AT2035 for room mics, Shure SM57 for snare, Sennheiser e604 for Toms, and Sennheiser e602 for bass drum
that one dislike must have been a missclick
