Even if he was talking to a black guy, it sounded very much like he was talking to someone he knew very well and doesn't mind at all to be called n*gga by him. Did the guy he said it to ever state that he was offended in anyway? I don't think so. This is just another case of snowflakes being upset over nothing imo.

The problem is that sponsors don't want to be associated with peple throwing around said slurs. There was money involved, and it wasn't just a bunch of gamers having a good time.

I enjoyed The Race Legends Trophy Indy 500 than the actual official Indy to be honest.
Official Indy 500: Drivers taking each other out and unsportsmanlike behavior
Legends Trophy Indy 500: Nail-biting racing with amazing overtakes until the end. Still pissed Alonso got taken out of the last race. He should have won the whole thing instead of Montoya who was dirty af and played the victim at the end.
All of the younger F1 drivers messing around on stream together was so much fun. It easily made up for F1 being postponed for me at least.
Meanwhile all the Eracing over in the Rally Sphere went pretty well. People took it really seriously and pushed it to the edge attempting things they wouldn't try IRL. Made for some damn good racing.

About the part of Daniel Abt: He did a stream before the race started and he had the idea ON STREAM. He said in the stream if he should let a Sim Racer drive for him. So the Sim-Racer could show how he can compete versus the others.
Edit: He wanted to show that a Sim-Racer can be as good as a real race driver or even better and the idea behind it was to make E-sports bigger. He wanted to reveal everything the day after the race. But half an hour after the race the german media was destroying him.
Still kind of cheating if it was against the rules...and the Volkswagen group doesn't want to be associated with that word anymore after Dieselgate so....

I am from Austria, I whatched the stream that he had in german and he said his plan there. Ofcourse it's cheating but I think the reaction from audi wasn't appropriate. Because he said what he was going to do. And with "his" covered face it was obvious. To kick him out of the team is to much in my opinion.

The most entertaining and intense racing happened through motogp. They're all having fun and no one purposely wrecking as playing with motorcycles has it's own nature. No one took it overly seriously but all respected each other so it was a good laugh with some great last lap battles.
The Race All-Star Esports Battle was pretty good too especially the Legends Trophy

yeah nothing serious about it. in fact they kept racing on the series later on.
Surprisingly most of the F1 e-racing stuff is just all about giggles and fun, and not much of big corporation money holding them up. It's way relaxed compared to the other series.

Excellent video! It's great to see a channel dedicated more to car culture than motorsports or sim racing give their take on those events.
In the end, it was a great time for motorsports in general. I've sim raced since I knew it existed, and seeing the platform gain popularity and exposure was incredible for someone like me.
At the same time, I wish the pro drivers would have realized the stakes of the events and took them more seriously. Like you mentioned, a lot of sim racers take this craft very seriously and would have loved the opportunity to race on an international scale for folks stuck in their homes.
A good amount of disappointment came from those few months, but the joy of watching my favorite pastime on TV, seeing my favorite sim driver broadcast on US television racing against pro F1 drivers, is something that will stick with me forever.
Simon Pagenaud is the same guy who-in real life-nearly took out the leading Audi during Le Mans 2011, also while a lap down. He’s a clown.

Ferrucci has also been known to be a major asshole before as well, for pretty much the same behaviour. In fact it's why he's racing in Indycar when before he was in Formula 2, on track to be an F1 driver.
