  • Sometimes you need to listen to your body. My body was telling me to STOP... so I did. On this adventure, I took myself and my better half away for a camping and paddle-boarding night away at Loch Chon Campsite.
I need your help with Camp Cooking... give your thoughts and suggestions.
    Enjoy.

SooJa has noticed the worlds most expensive camping food, has welfare concerns and is on her way right now in a Hercules to do an air drop. On Catspaw we do one pan meals, uses tinned curries and potatoes and ordinary supermarket boil in bag rice meals. And Bulgogi too sometimes. Maybe that's what's coming in your air drop? (Basecamp meals by walking standards as weight less of an issue.)

hey Calum, Stanly makes a real nice budget cook set and GSI makes a stove with a nice big burner so you get more heat area on a skillet or larger pot. also Coleman peak 1 is a good stove. both of those stoves are I believe less than 30 dollars and they work really well.

Nice change of pace this time, Calum. Sarah’s good on camera too isn’t she? I worked for a company which fitted a biomass boiler to Ardnamurchan distillery (Adelphi) when it set up around 2012, so it became a very eco friendly operation, the first 10 yos appeared fairly recently, I think. Good to hear that the whisky gets the thumbs up if it’s the same place. I’ve always wanted to try and visit but it’s pretty remote, well off the A roads in Ardnamurchan.

That's very kind of you friend. I'll be on the look out for the 10yo Ardnamurchan for sure! I'm a big fan, never been, but I'd love to visit the distillery.
