At the end of every video I start to dissociate, but those words at the end kept me confused for a couple of seconds.

The paper clip mount on the computer is actually for ergonomics. It prevents you from having to look down at your desk while typing and needing to review whatever is on your paper.
Thank you! Lol. I eventually removed it after I changed my set up, but since I stream D&D, it had use.
@@risengaia3143 I understand 😂 I’ve worked around Physical Therapists that recommend these to patients if they’re work involves a lot of paper/documentation/transcribing
I was going to comment the same thing. If you're a touch-typer, or need to reference a cheatsheet or something constantly it makes a lot of sense

That small room with the single desk in it could very easily be a bedroom in the UK. I was gonna move into a room of a similar size until I realised I couldn't fit my set up in it at all. (:
Back in my day, we used to use those clips to hold up our hand written reports so we could type them up to turn in.
That's what I was thinking or what if it was a form of script holder hahha

That clip-a-ma-thingie was actually very common at our offices 3 decades ago for holding documents that secretaries had to type out.
The monitor was originally from an office and that thing was already attached. I eventually tore it off but it was useful at the time.

But not sure what the item actually was...maybe paperclip holder, too small for cell phone holder...but something that would be useful on a desk! (Retired CA Escrow Officer here turned streamer just for fun!!)

It makes me feel more humbled and comfortable seeing the good, bad, and ugly of other streamers' set ups. Brings me back to 2005 when I started gaming on XBOX with friends. Thank you posting this video. Seeing some of these actually encourages me to try and stream (or at least make UA-cam videos) on my simple setup
I love this kind of content because it reminds me that you don't need the top of the line set up to start. I look at my jank layout each day, but it gets the job done for what I need. If anything it inspires me to remodel my set to make it better.
It would be really cool to see these competitions again, i really like the idea of sharing best clips of our channels because i know theres going to be some funny ones out there

The clip for the paper on the side of the monitor is indeed for pieces of paper. It’s for people who do a lot of typing (office assistants). They would put their dictation notes up and start typing. Keeping it close to the screen was to save time looking between the two (so the thought was).

The first one I recognized that "Phone stand" immediately, I happened to have repurposed mine as a light mount that is very sketchy-ly hanging off the side of my desk.
