I'm trying to improve my audio with the things that I have, and I am looking to upgrade my mic here soon within the next couple of months because I have everything I need for a UA-cam set up. Whenever I start streaming, I will at least know what I need to start off with thanks to your videos. You really have a passion for helping people grow, and it really shows through your content here that you put on UA-cam. Keep up the great work!

Hi , first thing I just noticed is that wries going towards the bottom of those wall strip vert lighting. Came up with a clever idea how to minimise their visibility.... get some Scotch tape (its transparent) and literally tape across the entire wire fro mthe bottom of the light straight downwards. its a subtle fix.
option two would be again with scotch tape but find a sheet of paper that matches the background and tape it over the wire and cut it thin strip to cover the wire with the sctich tape to hold the wire in place initially and then tape the strip of white paper on top.

Yeah don’t worry you definitely don’t need all of the stuff he is showing. If you tried to compete you would spend Thousands of dollars. You can get a very minimal setup for cheap. Streaming is one of those things I think you should do cheap for a while just so it losses some of its luster. You can get caught up and buying a bunch of stuff and then when you start and no one is watching your stream it can crush you. So I advise go with minimal money spent and see what you think first. Remember it’s not a sprint it’s a marathon. Establishing an audience takes time. Don’t rush your equipment no matter how excited you get.

Also don’t forget things like craigslist etc. there’s definitely a chance people have had the dream and given up and they could potentially have some good shit for sale for cheap

I have the BlackMagic 4K quad HDMI capture card. The reason I went with the BlackMagic vs the Magewell is that a) I wrote code against the Magewell devices in the past and it was not a happy experience and b) You can use multiple BlackMagic capture cards in a single machine whereas the Magewell cannot -- unless they've updated the drivers on their quad cards and I didn't catch that.
The only three issues I have with the BlackMagic card is that it cannot do 4K60p, it doesn't pass CEC through (but then neither does the Magewell), and the BlackMagic can be a bit finicky capturing a non-4K but greater than 1080p signal when getting it setup initially on a new device. I pass my GPU through to an Elgato CamLink as "it just works."
I like the GoXLR but went with the Rodecaster as I am sort of brand loyal to Rode and their other audio h/w.

Just to basically give you chat a voice.

Sorry my fault. Helicom Gaming have on his channel a lot od videos about setting up Goxlr with USB Mic, Single PC, Dual PC etc. About Elgato heres softwares from elgato: game capture, 4K capture support, Control center, Screen Link, Stream Deck, only copy name of this software and paste it in Google or UA-cam Search Bar.

Hey I know many gamers are PC focused but I'm looking to get into streaming for a UA-cam channel with my Mac. My goal is mostly interviews and video content but I'd also like the option to upload for Podcasting as well. Since my Macbook Pro uses USB-C I'm searching for a Mixer that will work with 2-3 XLR inputs, EQ and Effects.
    Any suggestions?

Idk if he said the name of the wireless headphones or not but they are the Steelseries arctis pro wireless. There is also a wired version but if u want to be able to listen to music via Bluetooth and have game volume via wire or vice versa then u gotta use the wireless ones.

Can you do a vid on dual pc streaming setup? Im trying to use my desktop replacement laptop to game and my other gaming laptop to stream the games but when I tried to connect the game to an external capture card(hd60s) it wouldn't give me audio. I'm looking to try the razer ripsaw hd as i heard it works for this type of setup but if you already know what works and what doesn't it'd save me alot of time.
Unfortunately you seem to be using desktops with an internal capture card so it may not translate but I figured I'd ask

I agree that Elgato is now the new Apple. Buuuuut with that being said they just opened up CamLink and the HD60 to work with OBS for Mac. Made me so so so happy.

does the mixer work with USB or XLR mics only? So your camera is hooked up to your streaming PC or your gaming PC?

I haven't watched the video yet but I am sure the on the thumbnail are a elgato capture card, a keyboard (probably a newer Corsair keyboard with the stream deck buttons) and a stream deck

So my cat just chewed my wired headset and I'm looking for a wireless one. But everyone says there's latency that they can't seem to fix. I'm not looking to buy one for the mic, I just want audio of my streams and such. You still recommend wireless or should I just stay with buying wired.

I have been streaming without a capture card. What benefits do I get from using it. I have a gaming pc and Xbox one x. While streaming Xbox I use the Xbox companion to stream using stream labs obs. The only issue I have is capturing game audio on xbox.

When you use transitions and switches and stuff, does it cause lag? It lags my stream sometimes. I use meme videos as transitions , but I’ve noticed that they lag often, maybe because I use them as sources on OBS? Does switching sources rapidly cause lag?

in your starters kit theres an elgato capture card, what's the point in this if it seems that you can just use obs and it streams your screen, I'm really new to all this, so please tell me what I'm confused about

Great gear! I also have started to really enjoy Elgato products. I actually stream off my consoles. I got a HD60s for my PlayStation 3 and 4 and then a Game Capture HD for my PlayStation 2. Might grab me one of then stream decks from Elgato...
