That was my same thought! You don’t realize how nice something is until you come across it! So simple, yet it’s a game changer!
I bought ones last week, this is a sign I need to instal it.
The sooner you get it on, the more you can enjoy it!
So I just installed mine, and the installation bracket (metal piece) at least for me you don’t have to cut it it detached where you see that black mark, so I installed the nut then yanked it and it detaches and got the other half for the other side and same process.

This will not work directly with a Tanabe FSB. Might have to modify the bracket in order to get it to work. Did confirm you can yank the metal strap instead of cutting and tucking into the hood, but wear gloves. I cut my finger because I went against my better judgement lol
I yanked the strap out on my car, but with this one not being mine, I just tucked it, that way if he wants to remove it in the future, he can. And is the Tanabe fsb thicker or just shaped different?

Amazon reviews are NOT good at all, as almost all of them state that the hood sits up higher than usual after installing these. Any comments on that?
I am not sure how the hood would physically sit higher as the rear hood mount is not messed with as it mounts onto the strut tower. Did any of the reviews have pictures?
@@DariusBuildz Nope. none of them had pics. I would normally think user error but there were too many that mentioned the hood was sitting higher in front...

Also I think you can just yank the metal strap after bolting the top bracket in. Instead of cutting them in half and trim/tucking. Will let you know if that's possible once I give it a try
