I learned how to do this and shortly afterward found out my suit had a fake pocket
It's not fake, it's just stitched shut. Most suits do that, because if you use the pocket for anything but a pocket square, it messes with the structure of the garment

I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer as of 2010, now working protective operations in corporate security so I now wear a white shirt with a suit and tie to work, with my tools of the trade now concealed. Two years ago, my wife and son bought me some dress ties for Christmas that came with pocket squares. I have enjoyed your channel and learning how to fold sharp looking pocket squares, thank you. I have received many compliments on my pocket squares thanks to you... I started to feel naked when I wore an older tie that didn't have a square so I went out and bought 10 additional squares that complimented my old ties. I now have over 40 squares... Thanks for the video - I like the versatility of this one because you can add as many stairs as you want (up to about 9 total) using the same method, and it doubles very nicely as a napkin fold, especially one that you put in a wine glass.

Patrick Novotny Let me know how it works out - the stairs get smaller the more you make, but it makes one folding technique give you a whole range of different looks.

I managed this fold but my pocket square is quite small and so it ends up dropping down inside my pocket so it is barely visible. Is there any tricks that could prevent this such as placing something in the bottom of the pocket? Or any suggestions for folds that work well with small squares?

I have enjoyed watching your pocket square videos! I do have a question. I have a suite that has quite a deep pocket. The handkerchief I am using to make the pocket square doesn’t have enough bulk (and length) to stay put... the pocket square wants to drop into the pocket. Any suggestions?

Hey Patrick,I see u use a lot of solid colors for your pocket squares(which are absolutely awesome by the way),what's your favorite fold for printed squares? What fold really shows off a great matching print for tie and handkerchief?
+TheRealistFan I use solid colours on purpose for my videos, but I'll wear just about anything as long as it looks good. If it has too much pattern like a paisley design I stick to puff folds or rose/flower type of ways to wear them. Less pattern brings me back to a flat or three stairs.
