I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer as of 2010, now working protective operations in corporate security so I now wear a white shirt with a suit and tie to work, with my tools of the trade now concealed. Two years ago, my wife and son bought me some dress ties for Christmas that came with pocket squares. I have enjoyed your channel and learning how to fold sharp looking pocket squares, thank you. I have received many compliments on my pocket squares thanks to you... I started to feel naked when I wore an older tie that didn't have a square so I went out and bought 10 additional squares that complimented my old ties. I now have over 40 squares... I was in a cruise a week ago that went to Greece and Italy, and I had no folded pocket squares for all the formal night on the ship, or two galas we went to at the Acropolis Museum, mainly because I had never done one before. Same with my bow tie( should of seen that nightmare) for my Tux.
I’ve been going down the list of the ones you’ve done on here because I bought some star heaven pocket square holders, and wanted them pre done so the next time I needed one it would be ready to go.
So far I’ve got about 12 diff ones made, and they turned out really good...except for the red flower you do. Couldn’t do that if my life depended on it.

....and I just noticed you have actual Ties on here. Will have to be going thru those as well. I have several ties, but everyone I bought I had the guy at the store tie it, and I’ve just kept them tied. LOL but you have some really NICE looking knots on yours!!
Want to thank you as your example is one of the best in appearance and demonstrated perfectly as needed something special for my wedding at the end of the month.. If I were a regular suit wearer, I would without doubt subscribe but at the very least wanted to appreciate your help..

Patrick .. nice fold. I'm going to use it in a couple of hours .. at my wedding ! One thing .. the tuxedo rental place gave me a much smaller square than what appears in your video here. I had to improvise the fold and I think it will pass. It may be helpful to include the size square you start with. Thanks again.

Yes you can wear a pocket square without a tie.
Very nice Patrick, where would you reccommend we go to buy a quality, correct-sized pocket square??
It depends. Fancy folds are easiest with cotton and linen, then satin still works, silk is the hardest to deal with unless it’s a presidential fold of puff. If you want a plain colour I would go to a tuxedo rental store. Department stores will typically have decent options with patterns.
Look for any between 9 to 11 inches.

How easy would it be to make a two-colored wave, with two pocket squares? I love this shape, but also love double color pocket square folds...
Richard Hensman Sould be easy. I have a couple folds that I have done with 2 pocket squares and I would use a similar approach to achieve what you're asking for.

Shouldn’t have any problems. I sometimes used a safety pin from the inside of my jacket to help keep the square place.

@@lawrencejlittle pocket squares between 9-11” have been the easiest to work with. Too small and they don’t fill the pocket and fall into it. Anything bigger and it’s just a handkerchief. Hope that helps.
