Layout panel and clash detection are really helpful features for architectural use, subD by far is the biggest feature in this update and they are awesome. And grasshopper player is something useful and fast it just need someone quite confidence with grasshopper itself, btw I will update soon the features worth it and honestly they deserve all the support. Guys what u use rhino for? I work in footwear industry and use rhino a lot. But for other things like 3d printing I use blender and fusion. What bout u?
Rhino can be used in many fields, especially where parametric features are not as important, like in fabrication, installation design, cabinetry, furniture, boat building etc. It can also be used for product design, especially in the early stages of concept modeling, although as you get further into the development process, like tool-making it begins to show its limitations in comparison with products like Solidworks, Inventor or even Fusion. It's a great tool for architects though, especially in the early phases of conceptual/schematic design.

Make sure it's the latest update and make sure that SubD Tools are working. Maybe it's a bug, if that's the case, the best thing would be to report it on McNeel's forum :)
I honestly don’t understand how people use rhinoceros has any use beyond design concept for architecture? I see people doing whole CD sets with it, seems like a waste.
I guess you would come across *way* more professional (and the videos would be more useful), if you would clearly name your actions and functions etc.: you are using a lot of "click this, click that, that thing here, that thing there". There is a logic to those "things" and people remember not "this there" but the function in a context: Like, "I select the de-confurbeling function in the Global Warptz toolbox and check transmogrification to OFF"...

However, if you check any of our tutorials where we are modeling a building, every time I use a certain command, there's a callout on the screen at that exact moment so you know which commands I'm using while modeling. Please check some of those earlier videos on our channel and you'll see what I mean :)
honestly it looks like exel. type out what folter what you wana , why not a dropdown`i mean wtf you spend 3 years to code this you don't wana spend a day on ui? it looks horrible. and tedious.

Blender has added parametric modeler in the latest release. try that.

Pretty good selection of new things, Rhino In Revit and the SubD tools are great. Its a shame I bought my Rhino 6 licence just before they moved on!

Is there a way to make the object move away as an animation when it hits a solid object? So clash but with physics.
Sure, but this has to be done through Grasshopper and some scripting :)
