How would one go about using this method to design a tower. Could there be floor slabs, parametrically controlled floor to floor heights and maybe the possibility to cut sections aswell, or would you have to design floor by floor and progressively bake it? Thank you
That really depends on the tower design, but building it floor by floor and baking each one isn’t the best way to go - it’s pretty inefficient. Designing each floor separately isn’t ideal either. I’d recommend setting up a Grasshopper script based on parameters that define the overall design. From there, you can add parametric elements (like walls) that are shared across most or all floors. At some point, though, you’ll probably need to leave Grasshopper to fine-tune and customize each floor individually.
There are several plugins that enable the Rhino viewport to overlay the Grasshopper window. I personally use Topmost Viewport: www.food4rhino.com/en/app/topmost-viewport
In Rhino 7, you can display hatches and dimensions, but you can't bake them into Rhino or set the annotation style and pattern like you can in Rhino 8. All these features in Rhino 8 offer much more flexibility and control.

It’s a native Grasshopper component that comes with the Rhino 8.
How do you get the Component Name on top of it? Was looking for Bifocals but it doesn't work on Mac here.. :-(
