I wonder when one of the cartridge manufacturers is going to launch a TSS load. I guess price is a big factor.

@@ThePhil543 it’s eye watering! But the American firms are producing them for turkey hunters and even Wildfowlers. For goose hunters it makes sense. If you going after geese and shooting 20-100 shots a season it makes sense to use it. If I’m going to be lucky enough to get under the geese, which doesn’t happen often, I want the best lilli g load possible. That is hands down TSS, it’s just physics.

    Loving the wildfowling videos
How much would each cartridge cost ?

@@baba-hx5td they are very expensive, but if only using them for geese you can rationalise the cost?

After seeing these loads your making I do wonder if the differnt weight in each type of shot will cause them to fly at differnt speeds and creating 2 differnt patterns one infront of the otther in flight?, but the again if there working for you dont fix what isnt broken

Two patterns is kind of what many people want with duplex loads. The theory being that the steel spreads out quicker at shorter ranges and gives a wider pattern under 25 yards that you would have had with pure TSS, while the TSS holds tight out to further ranges out to 70 yards or however far you're good enough to shoot. (I wouldn't attempt 70 yard shots).

I reload ITX bb for geese in my 10 ga its a little softer and cheaper than tss but i like it better than the original hevi shot so i got some ques about tss. What is #8 like on geese at 40 yrds plus will it knock them down the reason i'm askin is my huntin buddy and me had a conversation about big pellet itx bb verse small tss #8 at distance. I think bigger is better but i never used tss cause of the price so what do you think is it fine at the 40 plus yard range for a good kill if you do your part. For ducks i shoot #4 steel under 40 yrds its not the greatest stuff to use but the price is right.

@@billymacneil3839 yeah I’m constantly looking for the ITM in auctions etc. it’s a shame (and baffling) why it was discontinued? No. 8 TSS will level any goose you put it on at 40 yards. Better than any steel pellet even BB in my opinion. Most people use TSS 7s for geese from what O can make out. I shot a a left and grey lags last season with TSS no. 10 ( I was after teal and wigeon). If you are just after geese and your gun can take the TSS I would highly recommend TSS. It is ballistically superior to even lead and goose shooting and the reduced number of shots is going to rationalise the cost.

@ Tungstem matrix. It was around 10 g/cc density and made of tungstem mixed with a plastic polymer.
