Dude!! Just when I start to feel a bit burned with mountain biking, bike repair delays etc... I tune in for another episode of the Peru series and wow!!, just wow!! Bro, you bring back all the energy of why I got back into riding bikes. It started with stumbling on to your and Seth's channel when you guys lived in Florida and to this day dude, you are still riding above and beyond!! Thank you bringing us along Alex...🤙
Just when you think we've seen your most EPIC RIDE EVER (last week), you post this 46 minute classic Alex. That 15,000 feet elevation ride was incredible, and the views were spectacular! I'm thinking that your FLAT on top of the mountain may have been a blessing. It made for catching your breath after that long climb...at least that's how I see flats when I get them. Thank you for sharing Alex.
This is such a sick series. I live in Panama and the terrain is VERY similar, just on a slightly smaller scale and altitude. Every time I watch these, I just get so amped to get out there the next day and get it in! Keep 'em coming Alex, this is epic!
Another fantastic Peru episode! Yes Maya is awesome! We have rode together in FL and Kanuga, she is in my Kanuga vid shredding too! Thanks again for doing what you do!
I've been thoroughly enjoying all these Peru adventures, Alexander. These just keep blowing me away. I think I've watched each one at least twice. I have now put this on my bucket list to try and do in the next 10 years. So incredible
Is Joe, the guy on the blue bike, on an ebike? How did he manage with his battery? Such great videos on this trip. These are the type of videos that get me excited to ride.
Man o man....this has been such a great series...unbelievable riding, scenery and editing. Super enjoyable. How are you going to top this? 😊 Lol.....just kidding....this is a trip of a lifetime and love all the content you create. Thx for bringing us Alexander!!!
that ridge line actually sucks (I ride it once a week) Maxima Urquillos (this trails name)is really fun and great, but I'd say its only the 4th or 5th best trail in the region...there are better ridge lines (and trails) here known to those of us who live here.. and luckily for us, most tour companies and guides are oblivious to the very best trails here (also, many of the best ones require a lot of pedalling and hike a bike to get to- so not likely to see any tourists doing that) and therefore, no chance of the overtourism that lead to the destruction of the mid and lower sections of La Maxima. incidentally, the local ridders are repairing that trail..and tour companies like are nowhere to be seen because they only extract from the local communities, destroy our trails and then go back to Canada for the rest of the year.
Man, that was an awesome ride! Who scouted out La Maxima? It was loamy, rocky, flowy, kick-ass trail! And the scenery was absolutely awesome!! Man, that's definitely a once in a lifetime, trip! Thanks for sharing..
wow pure epication! you sure give joy ride a new meaning.. I bet Maya was saying to herself "dude should keep the comments to himself, I'm shredding while he crashes!" ;)
Loving the series. The riding. The editing. The story. It makes me want to put this on my bucket list. It did suck that the one local got all pissy with a rock though. Wonder if the rest of the locals dislike the mtbers riding through town.
Damn those brakes are on fire. What are those and paired brake pads? My heart was pumping while watching those deep curvy rot trail you manage to traversed. You guys were shredding it. Bravo !
Singletrack, I saw that crash coming with the ditch in those tall grass. Hope you’re ok. The way that trail or lack of going through that field was way too scary due to unknown object you can see from through the grass. I had similar experience but on an ATV. Riding fast through the grassy hills and there was a ditch, I went over. Lucky the ATV didn’t land on me. Please ride safely.
It's a Relay. Best bike I've ever ridden. With our without a battery. This trip, was without a battery. Left it at home. Can't speak highly enough about this bike.
I think you mean, mountain bike? He didn’t “make” the guide load the bike, we always volunteer to load the bikes up on the van. We are working and the guests are on vacation! 😅🤘
I was wondering if anyone brought an E, looks like that Blue Transition was a good idea at those super high altitudes. I have Pikes Peak near me, at that altitude I could hardly hike more than a 25 yards at a time without stopping for breath.
@@canadmos That's what NukeProof told me. I wanted one of their E's and they said they couldn't send it. Ships are too slow and planes say no. I wonder as well.
He brought his own “lightweight” ebike without the battery. The whole trip is 98% downhill so you definitely do not need an ebike. Correct that you cannot travel with an ebike battery on an airplane.
@@WanderingWheelsRevelstoke thanks for the info, it was a bit confusing seeing it out there. I would probably do the same. I actually like how stable my heavier bikes (E and DH) are, without a battery my Levo would prob be about the same weight as my DH.
@@growlith6969 The only problem with the Levo, EP-8 and Bosch motors is the drag they have when not powered. The relay or any bike with a Faze Ride 60 motor has no drag and feels like a regular bike when pedaling without the battery. That's largely why I got the Relay, I want to travel with that bike and the motor combo with removable battery makes it ideal. :)
How are you not scared of crashing and falling to your death. It something I struggle with and it sometimes prevents me from riding to my full potential. Love the content by the way
One spot just opened up for our trip this December... just sayin 😉 wanderingwheels.rezdy.com/629763/sacred-valley-dh-peru-private-trip-with-the-singletrack-sampler
Dude literally says just follow my lines......30 seconds later Sampler is weaving all over....1 min later, guide goes straight Sampler goes left it is into a ditch. Although it's fun to hoot n holler, if it makes you loose focus, it can be so bad it changes you forever.......riding a big mountain in a foreign country with tons of exposed ares deserves much deeper respect. The mountain can take you. The mountain can take everyone...... Focus on your focus
Hi Alex! What an awesome trip. Been following you for a while now, and I’d like to invite you to do a trip like this Peru trip, but in Guatemala. Hit me up if you are interested! Awesome videos as always!
FYI, because your guides live in Canada and cusco and don't seem to know what is and is not acceptable here in the sacred valley, that last part of the last trail on Chicon, where the dog surprised you, the lady who owns the house is VERY old and she asked that we don't ride down there rather using the alternative route around (you were on to but turned back) because she doesn't want to be hit by a cyclist when she is going out her front door...
LoL... sounds like you are so out of shape riding these trails. But then you have to realize at the height you're riding, that air is pretty thin. I would be gasping for breath, too.
title says riding at 15k but cusco is 11k elevation. so much diception. only 4k decent that's less than one of my local trail with ocean views if I do double loop
Haha what are you talking about dude? First of all.. gross! And second, how would you know anything about the consistency of anyone’s bowel movements during or after the trip? 🙄
You locking wheels, cutting through the dirt, roots etc on an exposed ridge. You consider worrying about erosion & destruction of the trail as valid or just another load of snowflake nonsense?
These are the type of videos that bring me back again and again. Thank you for sharing your adventures

'there's a ditch right there!' my favorite part of the whole trip. glad you made it out ok!
Wildman...what an adventure you experienced MTB'n in Cusco! Good on ya.. A BIG THUMBS UP to you and your gang!

That ridge line... Makes me push harder to be able ride something like that :-)
Yo that 2 wheel drift Kinti did at 40:42 was hairy af!! I screamed out 😂
That man was getting LOOSE!
ahahahah thank you for tha, i have to watchit again, it was loose
Peru MTB heaven!

yes he is Joe, he did not bring his battery
You are awesome, bro. Love the adventures and how stoked you are all the time. Really enjoying the longer format vids! Keep up the great vibes 🤙🏼
10 soles per person for a trail of this quality is an absolute steal, I would have paid 5x more just to thank them for the experience
Let’s just leave it at 10.
@@willienillie6337 maybe buy the people who maintain the trail a drink instead
Why did I take so long to watch this video😍😍😍
What a great trip and riding crew.

simply Epic !! beautiful country. Thanks fo sharing, your energy is contagious.
Another epic chapter to this trip that many of us just dream of doing. Glad it's going well and you're staying safe... For the MOST part! 😂
Holy shit, that looks amazing...what a trip you're having!
Omg. The videos keep getting better. So epic.

Such an epic trip! Those views from 15k feet are just mind blowing! 😮
One day...
Got me shopping Fezzari La Sal and Timp Peak too!
Epic, one of your best videos ever!
Absolute madness! What an adventure, what a ride!

Epic ride!
Another top vid dude, what a place that is 🤙🤙
I was wondering how you liked the New Bike.. I'm going to Whistler soon, and I'm looking for a long travel bike.
I hope to be there this summer via Ecuador.

Absolutely epic dude 🤘
Is Joe on a repeater or a relay? What does he think of it? How did it do on an epic adventure like this?
It's a Relay. Best bike I've ever ridden. With our without a battery. This trip, was without a battery. Left it at home. Can't speak highly enough about this bike.
Great adventure...epic shreddin' by all.
Wow that was sweet. Thanks
Wow!
@20:22 I don't think i've ever leaned so far left in my computer chair before lmao
There is a weird flash at 15:37. Check it out!
Aliens
Where?
Middle of the screen. Its really fast. If you look away you'll moss it. @Martin-xh1hd
It's a good thing you brought TP. I'd have already 💩. Try to walk on the top of the mountain like that. 😂
I have been waiting! Finally. XD
I'm so jealous!
That one guy made the guide lift his motorbike onto the top of the van 😮
I think you mean, mountain bike? He didn’t “make” the guide load the bike, we always volunteer to load the bikes up on the van. We are working and the guests are on vacation! 😅🤘
Which 100% knee guards are you wearing? Looking for some new guards and trying to get opinions. Awesome vid...as always :)
What a trip!
You rule, dude!
Im having some sort of epiphany just watching it
Vamos Senderos!

Haha for sure! But also... I dare you to try and find a cooler shot from the ride 😉
potentially from the place where you had obtained 15000 ft of elevation . Also how long will the next video be ? eagerly waiting@@The_Sampler

fun but sketchy wow what a ride
Dude is so stoked it's like he just saw a double rainbow 🌈🌈
Why don't you ride clippless? Not recommended?
Depends on the rider. I personally ride clipless exclusively. Some of the other riders do too. Personal preference.
So was 15,000 feet worth it since you got a flat??
Worth it for the views baby
How much you pay for the hole Trip?
Dam they are expensive
Maybe add a little bottle of betadine to your pack next time! Amazing adventure, those views are intoxicating.
Was this an epic ride? I can't tell. (Alex only says it like 1000 times 😆🤣) And, yes, I am totally JEALOUS.

yeah, muddy hip-pack on the bed...
Yaaaahh Bro, Yahhhoo Bro... Oh man your voice and comments wanted me to skip - but view kept me....
“Bro” is very common slang used in Peru. I think we all say it normally a little bit but we use it even more here in Peru.
Personally, I would be happy if you just followed Maya the entire vid! Js 😅
Let's hope it is not turning into mass tourism 😅
Woulda been better on emtb

Haha what are you talking about dude? First of all.. gross! And second, how would you know anything about the consistency of anyone’s bowel movements during or after the trip? 🙄
