I'm 58yrs old and have been a huge huge fan of Floyd ever since I put on those headphones and heard wish you were here for the first time at 13yrs old. This group knows how I feel, knows what I'm going through and knows where I want to go. There's so many great bands out there but Pink Floyd stands in a whole different realm of being comprehensive and total commonality. Never has there been a better group in my perspective. Not excluding other greats but man Pink Floyd just...completes my understanding towards a peaceful meditation. Absolutely phenomenal

I did my magic mushroom trip while listeningg to pink floyd and other in that genre.listening to this sober is amazing but when the psykedelics did its thing this music sent me litterally to dream world just one step away from everyday life.I had my comeup on Marooned,the intro with that wooooop sound was like a cartoon when someone gets sent to another place with magic. i listend to marooned 5 times in a row while my cat grew in size and features.it was one of the best times in my life. then i moved onto Sorrow,that was also otherworldly. whenever i listen to this since then sober I get exited and happy and blissfull.i feel the memories from the trip is forever buildt into them for me :D

I've been a fan of Pink Floyd since I was 16 im now 50 I love how their music can touch our souls. The mad the go the bad and the funny. I love how someone has put the sky at night to these beautiful pieces of music. My wife was walked down the isle to Marooned in 2017, you would believe how many people at my wedding were touched by that one track.

As a professional astronomer, I constantly get letters and messages sent to me by others asking what the starry patterns are they're seeing in this video, so I had to write this long essay today to a lady friend. Kimberly , yes I just looked at most of the first half of the video. You said it was interesting to get a difference of opinion from me. This is not just an opinion, this is a fact that I'm stating, because I know this from observing for thousands of hours and being asked to lecture and teach this subject of observational astronomy, and present the instructions of how to use many different optical devices. It also helps to know that I've been doing this since I was a small child for over a half century now. Most adults in America past middle age have never even observed through a telescope yet. But they want to talk about all these UFOs they're seeing. To them anything that moves in the sky is a UFO. A commercial airliner they can't determine from a satellite, or aurora borealis they cannot determine from inner city light pollution. Most adults in America do not even know the difference between a meteor and a comet, nor have they ever even observed one of these celestial objects. Last night where I was ordering some food to go, I asked the gentleman that was ringing it up at the cash register if he watched the lunar total eclipse early on Tuesday morning. He asked me, what time it took place; of course that tells me right away he didn't see it. He reflected on seeing one lunar eclipse when he was a child only because his grandfather took him out and showed him, and had him observe it through a telescope, but he's never seen a lunar eclipse again. [I had to show him on my cell phone screen, some of the past photographs I took of lunar eclipses over the last several years.] He said, oh my God those are beautiful, they look like oil paintings, you could sell those for a lot of money! You wouldn't believe how many people told me why they couldn't watch it. It was too late in the night and they would never stay up that late it was too early in the morning and they had to go to work, etc. Now I have to ask you again Kimberly, did you watch the lunar eclipse last Tuesday morning? I'm guessing that you must have had beautifully clear weather there where you live. And as I said this before, many times to those on the internet that have not gone out and observed much nor hardly even ever used a telescope in their life after 50 years, these images online in the internet will confuse most people. They'll just see them as pretty images of time lapse videos and stars turning through the sky, and clouds going overhead, and this all looks so beautiful. That many people will start commenting about what they see in the video. They'll be entirely confused as to not knowing which star patterns they're looking at, they may have seen a familiar pattern of stars in a star chart once or twice, or they see a dashed line across a video or a photograph and they assume it's a satellite, when it's most likely a commercial airliner that leaves a dashed line like this, in a time exposure photograph. Then they don't realize that much of the film or the video was taken somewhere far South on the planet, possibly as far south as Australia. Many of these people in the Northern Hemisphere have never traveled any further south than Hawaii and still they never even looked up at the sky while they were there. As I mentioned above, they'll post pictures of their repeated cocktail drinks in some bar over and over, and talk about their Winter vacation, but they never go out and look at the sky. They might glance up at it, for a few moments, and say, oh look there's pretty stars there. Also when you say in the video of the sky, it gets brighter, there's so many reasons this could happen, they could have adjusted their camera to make it brighter, or the clouds might have cleared, or the sky became darker after sunset, which in effect made the Stars look brighter for a few moments in the film [video.] Or it's possible during editing that somebody altered all these different clips and edits with different lighting effects accidentally or intentionally. [People have watched hundreds of thousands of hours of television and movies over their lifetime but they've never worked on a movie set or work behind or in front of a professional movie camera. Most people today have never owned or used a real photographic camera. To them an iPhone camera is all they know how to use, because of the convenience of the cell phone technology. I asked them do you want to eventually ever use a real camera? Many of them will say, no it's too complicated.] Then again as I mentioned above, some of those stars in the Pink Floyd video are probably not Stars! They might be bright planets such as Jupiter, Mars, or Venus. That's also why I said previously, it would be nice to know when this film was made - yesterday, a few weeks ago, a few years ago, or maybe over 10 or 20 years ago? If they don't supply this information there's no way to know what these bright planets were and where they were located in that part of the sky when the film [video] was made.
Absolutely fantastic images, without humans. Nature is more beautiful, only music completes it. I listen when I have migraine attacks, a good therapeutic effect.

They'll be entirely confused as to not knowing which star patterns they're looking at, they may have seen a familiar pattern of stars in a star chart once or twice, or they see a dashed line across a video or a photograph and they assume it's a satellite, when it's most likely a commercial airliner that leaves a dashed line like this, in a time exposure photograph. Then they don't realize that much of the film or the video was taken somewhere far South on the planet, possibly as far south as Australia. Many of these people in the Northern Hemisphere have never traveled any further south than Hawaii and still they never even looked up at the sky while they were there. As I mentioned above, they'll post pictures of their repeated cocktail drinks in some bar over and over, and talk about their Winter vacation, but they never go out and look at the sky. They might glance up at it, for a few moments, and say, oh look there's pretty stars there.
Also when you say in the video of the sky, it gets brighter, there's so many reasons this could happen, they could have adjusted their camera to make it brighter, or the clouds might have cleared, or the sky became darker after sunset, which in effect made the Stars look brighter for a few moments in the film [video.] Or it's possible during editing that somebody altered all these different clips and edits with different lighting effects accidentally or intentionally. [People have watched hundreds of thousands of hours of television and movies over their lifetime but they've never worked on a movie set or work behind or in front of a professional movie camera. Most people today have never owned or used a real photographic camera. To them an iPhone camera is all they know how to use, because of the convenience of the cell phone technology. I asked them do you want to eventually ever use a real camera? Many of them will say, no it's too complicated.]
Then again as I mentioned above, some of those stars in the Pink Floyd video are probably not Stars! They might be bright planets such as Jupiter, Mars, or Venus. That's also why I said previously, it would be nice to know when this film was made - yesterday, a few weeks ago, a few years ago, or maybe over 10 or 20 years ago? If they don't supply this information there's no way to know what these bright planets were and where they were located in that part of the sky when the film [video] was made.
