My friend got this exact same shed and literally made it his man cave haha. It has like a cool set up inside, like a chair that can be folded lay flat and a table with a cool little lamp on it. He installed lights on the top ceiling section, basically Xmas lights but the all white ones. These are truly meant to be used for storage, but I think it’s cool how my friend made it into his personal space. These are pretty durable too. I think that if this was a wooden shed, the elements will get to it faster and it won’t last as long.
Originally you installed the shed with the slope going towards the house. I immediately noticed that water run off from the roof would head towards the house, that's a no no!!! In your updated video you show the slope side to the yard but did not mention this change.
Great teamwork!!!
Thank you for the update. I like hearing how well projects hold up after some time.
You're welcome!
Great update, it is always good to have storage, and if it holds up through weather then that is even better. Have a great rest of your week, sending love and hugs, bye for now.
Thanks Holly!
this is great, thanks! thinking about getting this shed next week
Great instructions and confidence builder. This Suncast shed went together for me (alone) much, much easier and better than another smaller resin shed sold buy Costco. My doors were misaligned, which I solved by shimming one of the front corners. I added a rain gutter as described in another video. I hope it doesn't distort in the CA sunshine and heat.
Thank you for sharing just purchased mine
This was a very helpful follow up video. Thanks
Thanks for the update!
Thanks ladies, our family is thinking about getting this as its $599 on sale at Costco. Very informative video and appreciate the time you guys spent making it!
That’s a nice looking shed. I like the idea with small windows that gives some light in there. It’s a good size shed also. It’s holding up considering it’s in Florida. I live in Florida also on the west side in center of the state. Always enjoy your mother n daughter videos. You guys amaze me. They 2 heads are better than 1. ♥️👍😊
Thanks Shelly!
FYI - * You didn’t put a moisture barrier down between the concrete and the shed. Moisture will transfer from the concrete and cause condensation to build up inside the shed. * You didn’t originally anchor the shed to the concrete because in your first video I remember the shed opening was pointed away from the house
My wife and I built 2 of these today in around 4-5 super easy built hours 1:53
I think you two ladies are adorable. So nice the way you make projects together. I am making a few of your projects. Be well.
This shed is now on a sale at costco. Thanks for your video, it looks perfect for my backyard and hopefully house all my tools, small mower fertilizer etc this k ill buy this
Do you how much is it at the store?
Great (and informative) original video...and nice follow up, too! Thank you.
I am just starting my assembly and was wondering how tight you made the screws that screw into the plastic - I assume they need to be tight, but I do not want to strip them (I am using a power screwdriver (very low torque) to start and using a manual to finish and tighten). I am used to screwing into wood and metal, but plastic, not so much...Any suggestions on how tight they should be (and how you accomplished it)?
(Also, why is the shed turned 90 degrees in your one year update? (In the first video, the front of the shed (where the doors are) was parallel to the house wall and in this follow up the front of the shed is perpendicular to the house wall...)
You do not want to over tighten them. We just screwed them in by hand and when we felt full resistance, stopped. We made a second video a few months later and turned the shed and anchored it to the concrete. Here is a link: ua-cam.com/video/hbcF-EqMQBk/v-deo.html
Still looks good Ladies. 😎✌
Thank you!!
Good videos on your shed! Does it have any venting for air if not that might be why it caused the mold. Thanks.
It does have venting on the sides of the top walls.
Did you change the way the shed sits due to rain water from the roof running towards the house foundation?
We didn't have an issue, but some people commented that we should move it for that reason so we did in this video: ua-cam.com/video/hbcF-EqMQBk/v-deo.html
Great videos! I just picked up one of these and going to be putting it together soon. I noticed the side panels just snap into the base and even though the base is secured to the concrete in event of strong wind seems like the side panels could just come apart and blow away? I'm thinking of maybe using some glue or a bracket to secure the side panels to the base as we do occasionally have strong wind and potential for hurricane here so would hate for it to come apart. Have you had any concerns about the side panels just snapping in or do they lock in pretty solid?
We live in Tallahassee, FL and have Hurricanes/Tornados and high winds often. We are concerned, which is why we attached the base to the concrete. As for the side panels coming loose, it might happen but we are not overly concerned. It has held up very well this last year, and we have had some major wind.
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY Someone near me is moving and wants to sell me their shed (Identical) but it is assembled. Is it difficult to move around (put on a pick-up bed) by 2 people or do you suggest to dis-assemble it?
Thanks if you do reply... it looks as nice as yours so must be fairly new... $600 but not if we have to tear down move and reassemble! Great shed.
Hmm...I think it would be hard to move around. If you could put it on a solid surface like a sheet of plywood it might work.
Just out of curiosity, how hot fits it get where you are? We live in a very hot area so I am wondering how it will hold up in the heat.
Hot! We are in Tallahassee, FL. Typically 90s all summer long.
I was watching a video of you, Mac n Tosh. I hadn't seen that one before, so I'm curious if you have videos of them on a separate UA-cam?
Hi Vicky! My second youtube channel is @Stephanie Kostopoulos ua-cam.com/channels/wqu8TFt0o0UJYL33QUloAg.html That's where I post my greyhound videos, and have started sharing some kayaking videos too!
2 year review please
Thank you for sharing. Appreciate. You installed your shed facing a different location in your first video. Did you move the shed in your second video? If so, how difficult to move the shed around? Because it is very heavy. Thank you,
We did move it in our second video. It was pretty easy, with nothing in it two people can move it.

Great. Thank you for quick reply. Very inspired. Another question regarding the floor. I will build it on a wooden deck, not concrete slab, and it has a gentle slope, from one end to the other of the 6 feet length, there is a difference of about 1.25 inch height. Will that be okay? Just wonder if screw holes will line up. Can I do away with building a platform?
May I make a suggestion... either clean that ac big time or don't store it outside.. if u found medew on the bad
Now ur ac may get it inside the unit.. and u will breathe it
Need a fan of some type
How about 2 year later video?
Still great. No changes or issues!
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY that's fantastic news
