I was obliged to ride out of the saddle (eliptigo style) for about 14 miles to get home when my carbon seat post broke off a few years ago. OUCH, VERY painful on my poor old thighs and back. I certainly admire anyone riding one of those machines 👏
Wow!! Well done to Mike 🙌🏻 he’s turned his life around. All credit to him riding the Eliptigo think my brain would want me to instinctively sit down!! Great week for miles ridden for you 🙌🏻
That Eliptigo ! my legs hurt even thinking about it, no wonder that chap lost all that impressive weight. On a side note my ballot entry for Ride London (essex) is in so another ride to train for :)
I think I'd be worried about some repetitive strain injuries on that bike - for me, it just looks uncomfortable. I can see why it's called ElliptiGo as it is pretty much an elliptical trainer - they were uncomfortable after more than 20 mins. Still marvellous that it is there for someone who wants to get out and not sit down while cycling.

Yes im with you Bob.
I want one to replace my road bike and ruck running sessions. I want max wattage out put for minimal kinetic impact for atleast half of my sessions.
👍 👍 👍

Yes.... Im with you..... Must be physically so hard. I was lucky and got a Ride Londo. Place on the opening day
I first saw someone on an eliptigo about 4 years ago, between Thorney and Whittlesey, I was amazed at such a strange looking thing.
Yes definitely..... And this version with a chainring is different again
I’ve only ever seen one of those types of bikes before and I wondered what the heck was coming towards me. He seemed a nice chap.
Lovely fella is Mike

The fact that theres no rest opportunity must be tiring
What a weird and wonderful way to get around. I reckon it would be good for cross training running/walking. He must be as fit as a fiddle !
Bet you would love a go. Have you met Mike at Cafe Allez?
@@PaulGreenVlog no, I think I would have remembered one of those!
Thank you for this video. Where did you buy this eliptigo? Can you recommend me a seller?
Saw this guy the other day on a blue one. I am sure it was him.
How is this different than just removing the seat from a regular bicycle?
I think the geometry is considerably different
It strikes me as a way to get a good workout at the pace of your female companion.
🥺
Torture bike.🤣 🚲❗
