We moved to Bucerias, May 2022. Same as you, tired of the old grind and the madness. I retired from what I call the "heart of darkness". I worked for the US Congress for 28+ years. Sold the house, sold the stuff, packed the 05 Xterra to the roof, and drove down. Fell in love with Bucerias due to its small-town feel.
Bucerias is great 😊 we have friends moving there late summer so we’ll be visiting more often. We love eating around the town square there - you’re right it gives off a small town vibe
The ceviche looks wonderful. Now I need to try to convince my wife that the fish is no longer raw because unlike me she isn't a fan of sushi. El-dorado/mahi-mahi is one of our favorites when we are in PV. Thanks for the videos, they make me both miss being there and also feel like I'm actually there and we'll be back for a short stint in Oct. We are from Calgary and are hoping to retire & start snow birding to our apartment in PV in the next year or two. Looking forward to maybe running into you out on the streets there.
Thank you! I have always found fish to taste better raw (sashimi is my favourite). Although the fish cooks with the acidity of the limes it’s still keeps that delicious flavour and tender texture of sashimi which we love. Our favourite is the tuna ceviche here. It’s such a beautiful place to retire and looks like there’s a big community of snowbirds here 😊 we’ll be around !!
Oaxaca cheese specifically! It’s the best! Funny you caught that, it gave us sad puppy eyes as soon as we approached it 🥹 it’s someone’s perrito though otherwise we would have snatched it lol
Another brilliant vid…..pro content! You guys are amazing, awesome outlook and perspective on life. Refreshing to see PV content other then the Malecon and insta pics of Zona Romantica. It’s a beautiful city with so much to offer and see. Huge 👍 on colonia 5D….a little bias my wife and I have a condo in cinco lol. Loved how you guys walked passed it in one of your earlier videos. Peace.
Thank you for the great comment 😊 we agree that there’s so much more than The Malecon and Zona an we plan on showing PV in its entirety. We’re also bias on 5D since we live here and ❤️ our neighborhood lol
Thanks for watching ☺️ Yes we just use tap water for most things except drinking. PV’s water system is considered one of the best in Mexico - only precaution would be if you’re staying in a very old place the water pipes could be an issue. We typically let our veggies soak in vinegar before giving them a rinse otherwise just water for everything else. We’ve had no issues…yet 😂
You guys a lot of good content I never miss a video you have a beautiful family I wanted to ask you if the you knew how expensive the rent is in puerto vallarta for a 2 bedroom 1 bath saludos de Reno, nevada
Thank you so much 😊 I’d love to have a clear answer to your question but unfortunately the prices fluctuate so much by neighbourhood, season and duration of stay. When we came during the start of high season in November 2 beds were going from around $20k+ MXN/$1000 USD per month for yearly rentals(on the low end).
My wife and I just happen to stumble on your channel! We can see you are a down to earth family. We've been going to p.v. vacations for the past 5 years now had had the opportunity to meet other UA-cam super stars as yourselves. The kinetic kennons and Audrey with shorty the dog. We'll be flying in on April 22 and would be cool if we'd run into you guys too!
Thank you for the comment :) Not yet on the Kennons level but hopefully one day lol We've been watching them for a while as well - since before we decided to move here. Would love to know what the name of Audrey's channel is I don't think we've ever watched hers. We'll be around :)

Awesome!
Can you just wash fruit/vegetables under tap water, or do you use one of those veg. sanitisers? The food looked delicious 😋
