  • the first of a few videos exploring the work I'm presently doing in a house in Petaluma. We're distressing and finishing 37 interior doors- and going all the way. This video covers the initial distressing process. Over the next few weeks, we'll be finishing the doors. More videos to follow. Subscribe and watch the whole process!

Great work! I make the wormholes with the shotgun, with little salt stones. This works great and gives a uniform surface. The distance is about 5 meters. Have fun!

Best I could come up with is that they're probably made by North Bay Plywood- a supplier and cabinet shop. Doors were definitely custom built. I don't know if you're in the Bay Area. Regardless, doors like these are going to be custom. Hope this helps

All the doors panels are thin veneer - do you have a supplier that we can contact for doors - so I can distress them for my home. Very nice job BTW

The doors on this project are solid core doors- very heavy. That's why I created the dolly seen in another video- so we didn't kill ourselves moving them all!
Being solid core allowed us to do such deep distressing with the scorps and chisels. This level of scorping is not possible on thin veneer. There is still a lot of distressing that is possible on veneer doors; it's just not going to be as deep.
Please contact me if you'd like to discuss further. I'm afraid I've never been involved in the ordering of doors. I can ask some of the contractors I've worked with. Thanks

+broadpalette is there any way you can find out who the vendor is ... I have talked to 10+ all the same 1/16" thin veneer
