The 2007, 2015 & 2016 was POS. The 2007 with piston slap & driver door wind noise. The 2015 & 2016 had the 8-speed which was improved in the 2017 but never resolved so the 2018-2020 was saved with the Ford/GM 10-speed. The 2015 & 2016 had boom, vibration issues, cue screen spider webs, suspension was stiff due to the upper/lower control arms made from aluminum. The 2017-2020 suspension was fix with the steel control arms. The best year is the 2009 which had the flex fuel but no afm. The 2010-2020 had afm which any of the four lifters can collapse. The 2010-2014 was the early version with the technology than the 2015-2020 was improved somewhat. It is a hit or miss but if you use Dexo 1 oil and change the oil bet. 15-20% then your odds is slim. The 2021+ has dfm instead of afm which has worse of a chance for the lifters to collapse because it shuts down any of the eight lifters vs four lifters like the 2010-2020. Some 2021+ owners had issues at 5k. I had a 2008 which lasted me 14 years and now I have a 2018 which my lifters collapsed at 79k. It costed me 5k to fix. Supposedly GM replaced my lifters with the updated ones so time will tell. The 2020 is the last truck-like Escalade before switching to the independent rear suspension instead of the solid axle. Also the 2021+ Escalade had to be made taller and wider for the independent rear suspension so it does drive like a Navigator/Expedition which lost its unique character. When my 2018 gets high miles I will get a low mile 2020 platinum.

Why go through all that drama?
My stepfather bought a 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser in 2010 and drove it 250K miles with almost no issues...My mother bought a 2010 Lexus LX570 in 2014 and has never had an issue

2015 is junk!! Cue system, ac condenser, lift gate lift motor and now spun a bearing in the POs GM 6.2L. Fixing and selling!! Bought the wife a Honda odessy elite that I wanted to get I first place cause knew the Escalade was going to be a money pit! Oh and no matter how many times the sliding side running boards are fixed they will just keep messing up

Hello, I am from Europe, specifically from Poland. We Europeans appreciate exotic cars, including American ones with powerful engines. I am deeply saddened that Americans complain a lot about the Cadillac Escalade - I didn't think they were so prone to breakdowns. I have a question for you: would it be a better choice to go for a 2010 Suburban
