- Progressive Fork Cartridge Kit for Harley Review www.revzilla.co... The Hydra Glide was a revolutionary bike, debuting in 1949. Its groundbreaking feature was the hydraulically damped front end that appeared on... well, a lot of other bikes. And while it might have been state-of-the-art in 1949, suspension technology has progressed a little bit. Enter the Progressive Fork Cartridge Kit. A thorough performance upgrade over your stock setup, these cartridges totally transform the front end of your bike. Sure, they fit inside your forks so they look traditional, but upgrading your fork 'guts' to Progressive innards will make you fall in love with your bike all over again.

These are amazing. I get the feel of floating, the performance of a high high end sport bike and they lowered my bike so much stop lights are more of a relaxed place to sit around.
I am actually looking to RAISE the front end on a Sportster 48. Just a inch or inch and a half.
I want to put 1 inch longer Progerssive shocks on it and want to maintain correct geometry.
Thank you.
Hey shout out to the really fast shipping on my tire order.. I'm wondering Why didnt you label this as a Progressive Fork Lowering Cartridge Kit.. I'm wanting a cartidge kit but if I lower, I only want to lower 1/2 inch.. I'm also wondering about the durablity of a single spring and rebound/compression cartidge Kit
Is there something out there that lowers the bike by only 1 inch. I find that 2 inches is too low.
It depends on your specific year/make/model. Feel free to email CS@revzilla.com with that information, so a Harley Parts Pro can give you a specific recommendation for your exact bike. You can also call 877-792-9455 or select our Live Chat feature on our website. -DrewZilla
Is there anything like this that doesn't lower the front end???
If I am planning on running 944's in the rear should I be getting the 1" drop kit? Not trying to lower the bike. Unsure due to the fact of the 944's drop the back an 1'
Bought the one that can be lowered up to 2 inch. Can I use it at standared height aswell without lowering it? N how do i do that?
Does the C clip makes the bike lower..the more u put in the more u lower the bike?
I have a fatboy 2012.
And my city has many holes in the streets.
So, I ask,
If I ... can ... not install the clips ("C" spacers) ..... which are made of plastic material .. ??
You really need to install the "C" shaped preload spacers, or the suspension will not function properly. -DrewZilla
Is there any shopping site where I can buy only the "C" shaped spacers.??
Is there any shopping site where I can buy only the "C" shaped spacers.?
or another .. .. that I can install in their place .... because I lost them before installing the monotube !!
Thanks for the video. I’m on the fence about the standard versions of these or the fox front fork kit. It’s strange it’s not dual like these but way more money. I’m using the fox rears though. The shop might have just wanted me to purchase the upgrade instead of the progressives as they said they were not so good. Any thoughts in comparison to the fox?
2013 Harley street glide, For a 150 lbs rider solo, how many C clips are required?
Can i install this on my iron 883 with 2 inch longer forktubes?
Hi, I have a 2001 Honda GL1800 with Progressive Suspension, and I want to know which of these two oils I need to use. Progressive (Heavy) or (Standard Type E). I will be thanking you for your help.
i dont get what the 1 in. spring is for
Hi. I have a Sportster seventy-two 2015 with only 5000 miles. The front fork makes a clankc in extension and stains the bars a bit. I want to install these monotube. Should I change the seals or how these monotubes work with very little oil is not necessary ?. Thank you!
To start, yes, you should change the fork seals. Unfortunately, you cannot install these monotubes, as the Progressive kit does not fit the Sportster Seventy-Two. Instead, you would need to consider the RacingBros Scepter 25 Cartridge Kit. -DrewZilla

Hi, nice video. May I ask if the progressive suspension in the Back was put, but not in the front fork, does the driveability nimblness or agile driving worsten on the Sportster forty eight 2018 model?? Is it always better to change both Back and front suspension? Thnx
While you can improve handling by upgrading both front and rear suspension, it is not necessary to change both. You would be fine just changing the rear. -DrewZilla
How many preload clips for 150 lbs rider on a 2013 street glide?
It's personal preference, but to get you started, you can call Progressive directly for setup troubleshooting (1-877-690-7411). -DrewZilla
The pre-load washers are for ride adjustment. I thought?
They're for both. Adding the spacers increases pre-load while also increasing front end height. Increasing the height/pre-load will take up more of the lighter portion of the progressive spring rate. -DrewZilla
RevZilla how many pre-load washers to lower just 1 inch. I have the 31-2105 monotube for 2013 street glide.
what rear shocks would work best with this kit on 2002 883R
This Progressive Monotube Fork Cartridge Kit is not available for 2002 Sportsters, so I cannot recommend rear shocks to pair. With Progressive's regular progressive fork springs, the Progressive 444 Series rear shocks are the best option. -DrewZilla

Thanks!

Maybe I'll just put a Springer front end on my bike
Sk8rdude 13 that wont improve the handling. just look different
I've a Springer on my chop. Stay with the cartridge.
Love springers. Dont ride like hydroglides, but aint that the point?
is there a kit to extend the forks?
+Nick Martinez No, there aren't any springs to extend the forks. To do that, you'd either need longer fork tubes and spacers, or you can add fork tube extensions to the top of the fork tubes (only for 41mm and 49mm Harley forks). -DrewZilla
