the pause feature is a MAJOR uptick for me. I died a LOT in dungeons trying to take a potion

I got the game from Christmas and I’ve noticed it doesn’t pause properly enemies still attack but I hope they do fix that like she said
I just bought the gane and wasn't aware of this problem, and im SO in love with this game and i love hiw the game is now, the days length feels just right (making it not too easy so you get bored of the game yet not too hard so it just feels like chore and you just end up stressed ) and i i REALLY see now that is bc they have implemented that the game is able to pause in many ways!
I wouldn't be able to enjoy the game if you couldn't pause, that would be insane 😂 as i said, i love to have some challenges so it doesn't get boring and so you feel rewarded and stuff, but it shouldn't feel like you are just stressed and annoyed haha!😅

Has that been implemented yet? Maybe I have to update my game... no, actually, I just checked. For some reason this doesn't work on my game :(
Fae Farm is SO cute, and I had such high hopes for it originally. I keep checking in on your updates to see if they're going to address some of the key things (for me, at least) to make me want to go back to it, and the pause option for decorating is definitely a big deal. But it honestly makes me pretty mad that they are clearly fully aware of the majority of the community's feelings about the super rushed days and yet are not at all interested in slowing down the day clock. They're adding more to do, more farms, more lands to explore, but no more time to do any of those things, and there wasn't enough time to begin with. So... that's still a nope for me. For a cozy game, the anxiety and stress I felt with that insane clock was one of the most unpleasant gaming experiences ever. I stuck with it through the main story because the game was adorable, but between that clock and the lack of deeper interaction/story content, it's just not worth it to me. There's no real point to finishing out all the animal colors and flowers and things, and I've been out of it long enough now that I don't care to go back and try decorating again, even with the pause option. I will happily stick with Animal Crossing and Disney Dreamlight Valley where I can take all the time I want each day and the interaction/story lines are stellar, with possibly an add-on for Palia, which looks amazing, too.

I'm super excited about being able to reclaim flowers! Slowly but surely working on breeding the flowers...love seeing all of the colors! Looking forward to the pause function while decorating! I haven't done much, just because of the time thing. (also...really need to work on collecting stuff from the shops!)
love this game..these are a definite improvements and changes to the game. The flower reclaim & the build mode pause I'm excited for. Looking forward to see what improvements they do on the animals. Glad to know more animals is coming...I.m just excited that more improvements and more content is coming. I’m so excited to see what’s to come in the future.

I am really happy that they are going to allow us to move flowers. I spent two game years breeding all of them, and it was such a slog when I started decorating my other farms to try it all over again. I wonder why they didn't allow us to slow game time? Seems an odd choice. I do very much appreciate being able to pause while decorating. That will help a lot. But honestly, at this point I've just stopped playing because I've gone through all the major quest stuff, and the latest DLC really didn't bring anything useful to the game for me. I have one farm that isn't completely decorated yet, so I'll probably go do that some time. I'm going to check back in with the game after the January update to see if my boring husband does anything new. Lol.
Lol, yes, our boring spouses definitely need an overhaul! But that won't come in the January update. That's something they are still just talking about internally with the team and will hopefully be implemented in a later update.
I’m loving Fae Farm so much! I’m so excited for any and all updates. There are definite improvements and changes I’d love to see so I’m excited to see what’s to come.
Sounds like the base game is improving but for those of us that competed all 8 chapters within a couple of weeks without the buffs etc it's disappointing that there is little else to do other than collect every colour of everything etc for no real reason. It's a shame because there is lots of like about the game and some of its mechanics but I'm just not finding a reason to play anymore.
I agree with you completely on that being one that finished the 8 chapters pretty quickly. Fingers crossed the next DLC will be a little more fulfilling!
@@JadeMistGaming I finished all 8 in less than a week. Was a little disappointed.
Those quality of life improvements sound great! But I stopped playing after finishing the story and growing the flowers to get the wings I wanted. Felt a bit pointless to finally get my character wearing the colors I wanted *after* the story. I didn't play the new DLC because I didn't really enjoy the animal mechanics, although I did enjoy flower growing. I might hop back in if the DLC gives us a new dungeon adventure and hopefully makes the relationships effect more! like imagine if our spouse tagged along and slightly helped fight monsters, that would be so cool and help to make it feel like we're a supportive team.
If they aren't going to implement automation they need to slow down the days. I barely have enough time to feel like I can enjoy going to Croakia, and everything feels so rushed I can't really relax. I like the game, but I want a relaxing experience, not feeling like I'm back at work.
I was so excited when I read the longer days on your thumbnail, but it looks like I will still not be returning to the game.....sad. It is cute but I do not like to rush, I like to take my time and want to enjoy what I do, not just get it done. Fingers crossed they change their mind at some point as I have only played one season of this game and would like to have played more. ( I have it on Switch)
I watched the live but love listening to your breakdown because I definitely missed some stuff. I love this game so much and don’t see much content on it.
I haven't finished the story, but I was hoping the DLC/expansion would unlock a new dungeon/story element to go through, that doesbt seem to be the case.
Just recently stumbled upon your channel, loving the Fae Farm content as I work my way through the game. Curious if you have ever done a farm layout video showing off your farm(s) I especially like how you have your crops laid out 3:56 Would love to see the rest of how your layouts. 💜

I also dnt understand why they won't make the days last longer? I really do love this game bt it's stressful bcuz it feels like every day is on a timer 😠

I recognise that it would be a LOT of work post-release to make a day speed adjustment… but I still desperately hope they’ve got it on the back burner and just don’t want to commit until they’re closer to a solution. It’s an adorable game, but I haven’t made it through a full year of any save file yet because I lose track of time whenever I try to enjoy it, and if I’m not enjoying it… if I’m going to do chores I don’t enjoy, I’d be better off just doing more housework >_

If they are thinking about have new farm animals, one thing tht would be cool is if they would add more rooms to the inside of the animal pens you know? Bcuz as of right now we can only have 6 animals per coop/barn/pen. So we'd definitely need more room/somewhere to put them 😅

Oooooo for the last part when I got the game and finished all the quests I was really hoping that any point in the future they would make floating islands for future quest and I guest my wish came true!!!! I can’t wait!! Also I wonder if they make the fairy wings actually fly or we can actually make feather wings to fly or at least able to stay in the air longer

I may come back hearing all the changes after playing through Harvest Moon now that there's some updates coming. It's such a cute game that I've enjoyed, but certain things like really focusing on animals because they run away, some glitching and boring NPC interactions made me give up earlier than I usually do on these types of games.

Personally not being able to adjust the day length doesn’t bother me, but I am glad they are making adjustments to the pause menu
Not being able to pause in construction mode was the biggest gripe I had with the game. I'm definitely happy they are making that adjustment.
I do hope one of the animals they add is horses in some capacity, even if it’s unicorns or pegasus

The pause feature will be great. I get so annoyed when decorating and I keep seeing the timer run down. The rest of the changes are all stuff I've wanted too. Maybe I'll start playing again....I was so annoyed with the dlc I haven't played FF since and I had 150 hours in it but I hate frogs.
Sorry if someone already asked it or if it was said in the video : but when is this january update coming out? Do we have any information on this matter? I am desperate to know and didn't find anything in the internet.
We don't have a date yet for the January update but as soon as I hear, I will let y'all know. :)

Oooh, that's a good question. Never realized that. I just looked at all the options from the Wisp Mother and none of them match. Possibly future ones? Or maybe it was a design they ended up not going with? Hmmmmm. Definitely would like to see those added!

I'm really disappointed that there's no seasonal decor 😕 I hope they bring Christmas trees, Jack o lanterns, bunny stuff in spring, etc.
I really like this game, but the timing system gave me anxiety! Not something I want to feel when playing a cozy game. Then Palia came out on switch and I haven't played Fae Farm since. The updated pause feature is a step in the right direction, but I hope they still consider a modification to the timing system in the future. It doesn't need to be an actual day like ACNH, but Palia has a great pace and I never feel rushed the way I do in Fae Farm.
I agree and I'm very happy to see the game is taking steps in the right direction. :) And I also agree, Palia is awesome!
At first i feel the same frustration about the time but after im done with the story, floweri breeding - it didnt matter as much. I stopped playing because i dont have things to do and no longer gives me excitement. Dont get me wrong i love the art, design and all but its missing something. 😢

We’ve all been asking for longer days, and the developers decide to ignore us? Ok well I’m going to carry on ignoring the game then. I haven’t played it in weeks, my real life is rushing around trying to get everything done in a ridiculously short time, why the heck would I want to replicate that in my gaming life. I game to escape, to relax. Watching the clock is not relaxing. They’ve lost their ‘cosy game’ categorisation as far as I’m concerned. If I sound pissed off it’s cos I am, this game was far too expensive for the amount of problems it has, and was not ready to be released.
I wouldn't say they are ignoring the community. It's the opposite actually as has been seen in their discord communications and their recent live stream. They've mentioned that changing the length of days is more involved and not a quick change that can't really be done now because the game is designed to have many functions depend on the current day cycle. Changing the length of day would then mean literally changing the entire game. Instead, they have actively asked the community to let them know where they are struggling with time so they can help THOSE functions better and are continuing looking at additional ways to change things and make it more cozy. Adding the pause in construction/build mode was a major area lots of people wanted and a huge step forward for the game. So they listened and fixed that. We aren't developers and don't know the ins and outs of how game development works. Everything takes tons of time and effort to fix as they explained and I can respect that. But I do understand your point and opinion. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@JadeMistGaming ok, but some of us do know a bit about game development, and are still annoyed. The short days were a major mistake that should not have been made in the first place, and the game could have been worked on and trialled far more thoroughly before release. They could also have made a different decision about the pricing. As has been pointed out by others, simply adding slightly more pause options whilst also adding on more and more to do negates the small benefits of adding the pause functions in the first place.
@@twinkle231979 From what I am seeing, it's very similar to that of Stardew which is a very much loved game in the cozy community, flaws and all. As a matter of fact, Stardew days are 14 mins 20 secs real time where as Fae Farm is 18 mins real time. It looks as though they were simply mimicking the mechanics of that game that has basically set the standards for most farming games nowadays so I personally am not taking it out as harshly on this game since it's really not unheard of to have short day cycles so I wouldn't say it's a mistake. But again, I truly understand and do enjoy longer day cycles myself and respect your opinions 100%. I'm simply looking at both sides and playing Switzerland in the middle.

They are actively working on fixing tons of bugs. I recommend checking out their discord to get status updates on all their bug fixes.

So many quality of life updates 😤👏🏻💛 this is what I love about devs like Fae Farm, Disney Dreamlight, and other newer games; the devs want to help us out and make the game more enjoyable 🤗💛 it's so amazing... to me, that's truly what a gaming community is like
I thought they said there would be new people to romance with the first DLC?
I don't recall them saying that about the DLC. We didn't have any info about the DLC up until the first teaser with the shell on the beach.

This should had been done before I paid $44 for it..
Agree feels like an early access game for a triple AAA price tag. This game was a huge disappointment and I regret spending money on this.
This stuff is all good BUT, what about more Inventory space !!!
I honestly haven't had any problem running out of space after unlocking all the rows of inventory and I've never hit the limit of storage.
They massivly expanded inventory space with their last update.
The game day time was why I no longer play it. It is absolutely ridiculously too short.
Why are they so against helping with the time crunch? Nothing is cozy about this. They don’t want to give us automated. They don’t want to lengthen the days. I just don’t understand why they want us to feel rushed in what is supposed to be a Cozy game. The pausing isn’t an update. That’s a function that should’ve been working from the very beginning that a bug fix . What is the point of adding new areas and new islands if we’re not gonna have time to even go there. I really want to love this game because it’s so adorable, but not having time to enjoy any of the Adorableness is ruining it for me.
I don't think they are against it per se. It's more like what they said in their live stream. A lot of current things in the game are programmed to depend on the current way the time is set up. The good news is that they are actively making changes and who knows, maybe it will end up changing in the future. Regardless, I still think it's been a great game and I've had tons of fun in it. I just got the game, and I’m so excited
So when I got on today, I still found out that me and Jack are down to the "getting serious" phase and we used to be spouses before the update. Did they change that?
I know they've been working on fixing relationship bugs so if anything has shown loss of progress for you, I recommend reporting it to the devs on their discord. I haven't heard of anybody losing progress on a relationship.
I hope they fix the romance thing. I think mine is still broken because jack still calls me his spouse (even though we never got married and we got set back to getting serious) I'm afraid to reset it.
Glad i stopped playing. Should've waited till they were done with adding content to the fullest.
