I've watched a bunch of reviews of this trying to decide if I am grabbing it during this autumn sale. I think I am holding off for now as it doesn't seem quite there yet for me. Going to try Rune Factory 4 for now.

That is awesome!. But I don't even have mods & my game has issues. Like on crafting table, it freezes the mouse. You can't move it so you can only press "ESC"

Well I did download the game but have yet to play. I am glad I found your video and I will be removing the game. I have zero people on my friends list in steam and I wouldn't follow any of these " rules " I don't do chat and to be honest I would walk away from most things when other players came around. These " rules " ruined the game for me. I used to play with a group till we had a falling out and said I wouldn't play a group game because of what happened. I was hoping there was a hub and I would be alone on the map like Path of Exile.

I dont mind combat, in fact I kind of prefer a bit of combat in my games. I think I'm nore of a chill gamer than a cozy gamer. I love games like Powerwash Simulator and House Flipper for actual chill games. Some of my comfort games are Pokemon, Dragon Quest Treasures and Dragon Quest Builders 2. Theres some combat and progression, but its not stressful. Games like Dave the Diver, Dredge, Harvestella, where its cool and calm, but theres some little combat to give it some zing. But its not soul crushing if you lose or "die". Theres no consequences that will have you compeltely resetting your game. I loved games like Fantasy Life and Ever Oasis on 3ds and they were the perfect blend of cozy with combat. Progression without stress and regret. Any game that doesnt make me lose every item when I die, doesnt make me lose out on story options through choices I make in the game and combat doesnt have me crying of frustration.

unsure why this didn't work for me i waited until 3 am to see the shop refresh, i went inside the shop and didn't touch or interacted with anything, walked around and saw nothing i wanted so i used the PC shortcut, got back into the game and no refresh did i do anything wrong? ;-;

It seems like the only way that bug catching with lures is more profitable is if you're using lures that you purchase with your bug catching guild coins, since the cost of crafting lures is mats that would sell for 1204g per lure, 6 lures being 7224g. And then adding in the cost of bug bombs it just seems like the profit you get for 30 minutes of using honey lures is only worth doing over one of the other methods if you're searching for a specific bug and want to use a lure to try to get one to spawn (rainbow butterfly being one of those cases), you come across a group already using a lure or are in a group that is splitting the cost of lures, or you just REALLY enjoy bug catching en masse. 😬 Unless this has somehow been factored in with your data of course

I think this video would be good even for long-time players. I've been playing for just five days and I've already seen people not properly calling out groves or impatiently trying to cut down trees as soon as 1 AM Like yesterday two people in chat (and when I saw them they were clearly long-time players 'cause of their tools and the fact that they had store items) called the grove out as "4 FTs in ***". At first, I was like "I'm not going, gotta look for the grove. And then I was like "wait... 4 FTs in the same place sounds suspicious". AND LO AND BEHOLD, IT WAS THE GROVE. So I correctly called it out in chat for everyone. AND AFTER I CALLED IT LIKE 7 MORE PEOPLE SHOWED UP. LIKE COME ON. Despite being the third to get there I had to be the one to say the chop time and ask one last time if anyone else was coming cause one of them was freaking out and running around, trying to chop down the trees as to signal us to do it with him. I just sat down and it was funny how everyone else (but that dude) did the same and we formed a little circle. Man. Also, didn't know it was okay to go near someone who is already fishing. I thought it was rude, so I always ran the other way to not disturb them. But if I can help them, then I'll start doing that. Thank you for the video, it was very informative. Palia is one of those games that I don't think you can play blindly. You need to do some kind of research so you can enjoy it while not harming anyone.

Hello! I'm very late to the game, really sad to hear of the layoffs, I truly hope they are taking care of their humans, I'm really liking the game and want to keep it that way haha. I find some value in the buildtimes, but certainly not 8 hours! I had no idea about that, that's insane! Everything being 30 seconds sounds pretty solid to me, but maybe for some of the really large show pieces, up to a half-hour build time might provide build-up of anticipation and the feeling of reward when it's finally done and that can be very intoxicating, but definitely no long build times!
