i was a teenage exocolonist is SO GOOD. the writing, the art, the characters, the sheer number of choices - it’s a fantastic narrative game (though it does deal with some heavier topics, the game does provide content warnings!)
I'm so happy I Was a Teenage Exocolonist is getting (a little) more attention. It's easily one of my favorite games. The first playthrough is so rough and *super* heavy but the game gets easier and cozier each replay. Now, 7 or 8 endings later, I sometimes boot it up just to relax and enjoy the vibes.
I KNOW RIGHTTT. I FREAKING LOOOOVE THAT GAMEEE❤😩 I get so attached to the story after the first playthrough and I’ve been dating all those guys for a while now and I just can get enough 🥺🩵
Same here, I've played it a lot last year, and I've been going back to it every now and then and now it really feels cozy. 😊
I consider you an expert of cozy games on switch. I searched up “Cozy games with no time limits” and nothing popped up. I’d love to see a video on that subject.
This channel is so dangerous for my wallet, I’ve been really getting into cozy games and really loved your recommendations!
I’m not sure if this is considered cozy per say, but I’d really love to recommend a visual novel called Jack Jeanne to you! It’s about a girl who has to cross dress to remain a student at the drama school of her dreams. While the voice over is in Japanese, soundtrack is absolutely lovely, and since it’s a drama school, the plays contain rhythm game elements (you can choose your difficulty!), but the highlight is definitely the characters and their relationships with each other. It was one of the top 20 switch games last year, and I feel like it may be something new and interesting for you to try!
Sounds like a similar plot to a manga series I once read called Hana Kimi. I loved that manga, so thank you for reminding me of it... will definitely try this game if it ever has a decent price drop.
Switch games I think more people should know about: Mutazione, a slightly eerie cozy narrative based game, involving plants you get from exploring, to take home and grow with music (different music for different plants). You learn more about the locals and their relationships, and your own relationships with your family, as you progress. It’s a little eerie, a little sad sometimes, but I think it might appeal to a lot of people that just never heard of it; merchant of the skies, which has similar mechanics to the Tradewinds games, for people that played them, but with more story and lore to discover, and you get new locations by exploring when you think you have enough fuel. I know there’s others, but I forgot wile I was figuring out how to explain these two without spoilers.
Mutazione is one of my favorites! I played it several years ago, but I still think about it.
Bandle Tale, Beacon Pines and Cozy Grove are def. on my top ten all time list.
Cozy grove is elite
I Was A Teenage Exocolonist is literally one of my fave games ever!! so amazing
Oh, LOVE to see Edith Finch here. Such an incredible game. The pop-up book style is just so interesting, and each character you experience the story of having an entirely different vibe is just SO GOOD. What a masterfully done gem of a game.
I loved Beacon Pines! So fun to play!
So glad you're talking about I Was a Teenage Exocolonist! Such a cool story, I don't understand why it is so underrated.
I’m so glad you featured SaltSea Chronicles! I write for a gaming blog and I got to review it when it came out. Not enough people are discussing this gem!
Your eye makeup is so amazing ❤
Thank you!!
I was thinking the same. I really makes your pretty eyes shine.
Agreed! I also love her blush, it's such a cute shade :)
I always played as Luigi, and my sister always played as Mario when we were kids, so I love that Luigi’s Mansion gives Luigi a chance to go on an adventure all on his own.:) I also LOVE Another Code: Recollection!!!❤❤❤ Such a beautiful and tragic story!❤ Tysm for always sharing so many amazing and underrated cozy games, Iona!!!😊 Love you!!!🫶🏽💗💕
Great video, I've added a couple of these games to my wishlist! It also makes me want to play Ooblets again, I really loved that game but never got around to finishing it.
I have all the Moomin books, got some merch, seen the tv show, and read the comics. Big fan, been waiting for this game.
Technically maybe not a cosy game but I really enjoyed Tangle Tower and would recommend it to anyone interested in a whodunit mystery / puzzle game. It features brilliant voice acting and character design and I think is great value for money.
All point and clicks should count as cosy, there's a new one (detective grimoire) coming out "soon" I saw a trailer somewhere:)
I absolutely love Tangled Tower! It was one of the first few games I got on switch and absolutely love the style of it
This is the game that got me into point and clicks. I flipping love Tangle Tower and I'm so glad they're making a series with those detectives.
I played Tangle Tower 4 years ago and have been waiting for a new one to come out. I absolutely adored that game.
Tinykin is one of my favourite games of all time, but I feel noone‘s ever talking about it
That game is so good... and definitely underrated.
Yes! Loved this game!
I bought it full price because I loved the demo so much...I've never done that with any other game.
Thank you so much for giving one of my favorite games of all time "I was a teenage exocolonist" the appreciation it deserves! ❤
And I am glad you liked it too cause I recommended it too😊
APICO is a game that NEVER makes it onto anyone’s list and I’m honestly shocked. It’s the most adorable, relaxing, self-paced little game. It’s about bee conservation. It’s only $20 and they’ve done several pretty massive updates. They’ve added butterflies, underwater exploration, I think there is also fishing now, too. The graphics are super cute, the music and ambiance is so relaxing, and the premise is also wonderful. It’s by Whitethorn games. Please check it out!
Thx for mentioning Pixel Cafe. Have not heard about it and I love games like "Cook, Serve, Delicious". And it was on sale for just 99cents.
This is a wonderful list, thank you very much for sharing. I wrote down some of them for my own wishlist! ❤
Thanks for the Pixel Cafe rec! It's hard to tell between legit good games and shovelware in the eshop sales... I might get it!
I didn’t realise Bandle Tale was released! This feels like a game MADE for me. I just bought the bundle and now I know what will be keeping me entertained during the current heatwave. Thanks for a great video, I found so many great games!
I get teased by my Battlefield buddies because of my playing cozy games like Stardew Valley, My Time at Portia, and Rune Factory 5. But I like all kinds of games - Battlefield, Cyberpunk 2077, and Forza Horizon 5. Sometimes I just need to sit back, relax, and play a game that is designed to frustrate me (like Elden Ring currently does - often!).
Thanks for your recommendations as I continue my journey to 'coziness.' ;)
I’m so glad you’re showing Bandle Tale some love! 💕 super excited to try out Crayola Adventures! 🖍️
I love all the indie games you play because it opens me up to new games to enjoy! Could you also try Potions: A Curious Tale? I’ve been thinking of buying it but I’d like to see if it’s worth it.
Love your videos, I always add new games to my wishlist after watching! I was wondering if you've played A Short Hike? I just adored that one and it seems so slept on!
Such a cute game!!
Love the list! Some cozy games I haven’t seen content creators talk about that I HIGHLY recommend are Hercule Poirot: The First Cases, Call of the Sea, Chants of Sennaar, Detective Grimoire and its sequel Tangle Tower (you don’t have to play Detective Grimoire to play Tangle Tower), Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (the whole Ace Attorney series is phenomenal), Heaven’s Vault, the Nancy Drew series (I’d suggest trying Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon or Warnings at Waverly Academy first), Inbento, Born of Bread, Jenny LeClue, Cats Organized Neatly, Lego Harry Potter, and the Cats Hidden In series.
Some of these games are PC/Steam, and others are on Switch or both
Oh, I loved the two games about Detective Grimoire so much! And Jenny LeClue! Thanks for bringing those up ❤
I'm a big fan of the ace attorney series and so pleased they got releases on the switch. I've got to be patient and wait to get my hands on the apollo justice trilogy tho - I've pencilled it in as my reward on completing a work project that will take a couple months 😅
I recently got so addicted to Phoenix Wright. I had a long weekend and spent most of playing Ace Attorney. I bought the trilogy and have now moved on to the second game.
Jenny LeClue was probably one of my favorites ever. I like a bit of hand holding in a game. The stickers and whatnot really help to show you you’re going in the right direction. It’s a great game.
You always introduce me to new games i haven't even heard of! I love your videos. Thank you for what you do and making me spend money 😂
Great list!
Ogu and the Secret Forest is in early access right now, and I hope it comes to the switch because I am having so much fun with it!
I recently got my own switch after playing family games and watching my son (plus playing animal crossing). Your reviews have helped me fall in love with the switch!! But I’m hoping you’ll review Gris. It looks amazing and I’m debating getting just because the game is so beautiful!
I’m so happy to see that Doraemon got a little shout out, it’s my favorite of the story of seasons franchise. The OG and friends of the great kingdom 😊.
My underrated cozy game would have to be Sky: children of the light.
Great video …. ❤all ways so incredibly insightful to unkown games
Ohh i’m gonna check on so many of these games ❤ Thank you for recommending them!
I would also highly recommend Lost In Random! Another indie gem that more people should play 😍
Yoshi's Crafted World is the entire reason I bought a Switch in the first place. Your channel helped me find a bunch of new games to play
Have you played Forgotten Anne? It’s such a good indie game! And its voice acted too
Ooblets is such a fun wholesome game and the story shocked me 😂 easily one of my most played games on the switch!
Im glad Bandle Tale is featured here! it def deserved more love and the pixel art is so so pretty, im glad i wasent the only one that felt the dialogue was really refreshing!
I always enjoy your suggestions, I’ve played cosmic wheel sisterhood and it was soooooo good. You should try going under (roguelike with so much fun colours, and so much character, a very unique game) and lost words beyond the page (similar to the concept of beacon pines) , both can be bought under 10$ and are amazing ! 😊
I love these recs! Just got pixel cafe as it was 70% off can’t wait for the others to go on sale too✨✨
Ive been playing Bandle Tale and honestly it’s so good. I am at a bit of a dead part where i don’t really get xp from gathering anymore and need like 50 to unlock new skills but slowly figuring it out. There’s not much handholding and the game lets you figure things out at your own pace. Great game honestly.
I'd not come across it before this video. Reading this comment has tipped me into adding it to my wishlist 😊
I love love love Cozy Grove. I think it is so underrated. If you like animal crossing, Stardew valley, And bears, Cozy Grove is the game. :) love your channel!!❤❤
I’d even add a bit of Spiritfarer to the list, helping the bears move on.
@@kmbehrens14I haven’t played that. Is it any good?❤ ngl I would love a play through for Cozy Grove on Eeowna’s Channel if she hasn’t already made one.
@@Zoeyloloffical Spiritfarer is fantastic! It IS about grief, though, which can hit kind of hard, depending on your life situation. Cozy Grove is lovely too; I was saying that the 2 games have an overlapping theme of helping the dead process and move on.
I've been watching your content since October and I'm really enjoying it so I thought I would recommend a game you may or may not have played. FEZ. This is my favourite game of all time and I think it would be great if you mentioned it on one of your cozy lists. From art style to game play to soundtrack, you can't lose.
I want so many of these games! Another Code seems like it would be right up my alley! I absolutely love Ooblets! It's so addicting and I love collecting all the Ooblets!
I pre-ordered Snufkin because of you! I can’t wait to jump into it. I know nothing about it (except from your prior video/this video). Thank you for videos 🩷❤️
Please try Moonlighter! It is a dungeon type of game, but the shopkeeper aspect is AMAZING!!!
It's also always on amazing sales, you can buy the bundle with the dlc for about 6-7 dollars!
One of my favorite games ever! So much fun
Definitely going to have to try ooblets looks fun 😊
I purchased Snufkin after your stream and keep saying Mintroll when I read his name. 😂 LOVING the game!
Loved this video! I found some new things! And of course my husband made a comment about how "I guess its that time of the week where a random brit will cost me money" LOL.
Yey finally see you talking about the Bandle Tales! My husband is a huge LOL fan and he's so happy I find this enjoyable. Yuumi is the best^^
I got to know about Pixel Cafe through your video, and I love this game!!!
Thanks for sharing about Pixel Cafe bought it today it was in sale 😊 and its so fun! It's a lot like cooking games I loved on Nintendo DS!
I LOOOOVE Bandle Tale! It lets you figure out a lot of stuff on your own, the story is lovely and the graphics are *muah* 🤌
I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I do!!
figuring stuff out on my own is actually my problem with this game. i can't play for hours everyday, so every time I load the game I already forgot everything i was doing. it's always like i'm playing for the first time
@@snowlen_hill yeah it does take some time to advance in the game but I personally enjoy it a lot. I do play a lot of very challenging games (Elden Ring, Hollow Knight etc.) so I find Bandle Tale to be a walk in the park but I see that it might be frustrating to casual gamers 🙁
Yeah, I think the skill tree mechanic is hit or miss for people. I really like the puzzle of figuring out how to accomplish the tasks, but it can be frustrating. I love it! But not a game for everyone.
@@Eeowna Trade tales is the farming game i've been waiting for ua-cam.com/video/C9hkJ37N7WY/v-deo.html
love you eeowna thank you for this I've been subed since like 12k
Oooh, I never heard about a couple of these! I'll have to give them a look sometime!
I'm interested in Bandle Tale, honestly! Ever since the first trailer, the idea hooked me! But, that text looks so small on my Switch Lite. I have readers, but don't know how much it helps. Is there an option to make the text bigger? I really want to try, but if I can't read what I have to do, that could be a bit of a problem!
I want to mention a bit of an oddball game. I have not seen anyone talking about it. Kaichu: The Kaiju Dating Simulator.
We play as Gigachu, looking for love among other kaiju. Choosing our date, we then travel to various landmarks. Kaiju dating seems to revolve around destroying these landmarks, but it also depends on how compatible we are. During the date, we answer questions and if we are successful, not only is the landmark completely gone, but we also get a lovely kiss with our date.
Each run through is short, but I love every minute of it. What really makes this work for me and brings it together is our two news anchors, Brevity and Lucky. They naturally can't speak the kaiju language but it's clear they start to understand them more with each date. Apparently, kaiju dating makes for a great news story! And it's through them that we also learn what is being asked of us and we can reply accordingly.
Also, that title screen music... I could listen to it for a long time!
I finally picked up oonblets earlier this year and I cannot stop!
I need that Yoshi game!
1:33 are you referring to the Yarn Yoshi Amiibo? Technically speaking that was made for the previous game, Yoshi's Woolly World. If you have a 3DS or WiiU I’d definitely recommend checking those out as well, love the style of them. Though good luck now that the eShop for those has closed down.
I’m personally a huge fan of Visual Novel type games. Stuff like Cofee Talk, VA-11 HALL-A, Life is Strange, etc. One I’ve not heard enough people talk about is Arcadia Fallen. In it you play as an apprentice alchemist who lives in a small town where some strange stuff has been happening. When you rescues a spirit forest the two of your fates become entwined and you must do your best to discover what exactly is going on.
Girl I was replaying golden sun recently and the dialogue was incredible! Might give 7:04 this a try!
Beacon Pines is my favorite Switch game ever!! I've also been enjoying Night in the Woods which has a similar spooky but fun vibe.
There is a puzzle Cozy gamecalled the pedestrian which is worth checking out as you are a little stick figure that you see on signs and you have to solve the puzzle on one sign to get to another. It's way cooler than my description though 😆 😅
I LOVE ooblets. It's one of my favourite ever games
I love your videos, and I was wondering if you have played either A Short Hike or Alba: A Wildlife Adventure? Both are short and cute exploration games that are very chill and fun! I don't always hear people talk about them, they are amazing games! Both are pretty cheap, short hike is like 8 bucks and Alba is currently on sale for 7 bucks.
not only was ooblets fun as hell but the soundtrack is a bangerrrr 💃
I deeply LOVE What Remains Of Edith Finch ❤
Balatro is my ultimate cosy game at the moment 😊
Luigi’s mansion is just Mario ghost busters and I love it
YESSSSSS EXOCOLONIST RECOGNITION I LOVE IT HEREEEE
You should keep calling him Mint Roll. It’s adorable!
GUYS! Pixel Café as a set is ON SALE right now!! it’s now 5,39€ instead of 13,49€ (sorry I’m from Germany) the sale ends on 16.06.24! I’m gonna buy it now 😂
Beacon Pines gives me similar vibes to Oxenfree, both of which I played in 2022 but am super tempted to replay
Yoshi's Crafted World is amazing, and it has an easy mode where you can fly, what's not to love? (the answer for me is the timed levels, I am the worst at them and I'll never 100% this game for that reason 😅)
Pokémon Snap 2 is also one of my favourites, it's so beautiful I even printed out some of the pictures I took.
My 2 problems with it are that you have to grind and repeat levels several times in a very specific way to finish some of the challenges (many of which are impossible to figure out without a walkthrough) which can make trying to get 100% boring and frustrating at times
The other thing is that you're on a set path that doesn't change. Maybe if they ever make Snap 3 it could be a partially open map where you can actually run around yourself to try and take pictures (kind of like the photo challenge they added to the Sc/Vi dlc)
Thank you so so much for introducing me to I was a teenage exocolonist!!! It scratched that itch I have been looking for in a switch game. A cosy game that has an incredibly strong story and a feeling that every decision I make matters. Obsessed with this game!!!
If you like the pixel cafe game then i highly recommend coffee talk
SNUUUFKIN! I have been waiting for this game for such a long time!
Pokemon snap is soooo underrated! I was sooo excited for it as I'd wanted a sequel to the N64 game for ages and it delivered. I really wish it was more popular so that we could have gotten some paid DLC 😢
I’ve been debating for a long while on whether to get bandle tale. I may have to give it a chance!
Ikenfell is still one of my favourites
Yes!!! I absolutely adored this game! It made turn based combat so fun!
"The Pokemon grind" is one the best things I EVER seen in gaming!
The first three games, YES! Bandle Tale looks like a lot of fun, but the reviews are so so. Love Ooblets!
It fully depends on what you’re after! If you’re fine with looking up walkthroughs/ wikis you’ll like it. If you don’t like doing that to enjoy a game it’s likely not your thing. Both is valid as long as you know what you’re getting
@@Eeowna I do like a little hand holding in my game, but as long as the info is out there, I can make do. It looks super cute!
These are my favourite gaming vids, I often prefer the games no one talks about
I first played “what remains of Edith finch” about 10 yrs ago. It was one of my fav games of all time. I just wish they would have made more like it because it was so short. The only bad thing about it I would say is it didn’t feel complete. I never understood the ending. It felt like there should have been more and explained it more.
Dragon Caffi could be a chill cozy underrated title.
Ooblets is so cute!
I was a bit disappointed by Beacon Pines, there is no "freedom" in choosing the branches. I thought we would have more choices, and more small gameplays. The story and twists are really fun tho and the game is super cute.
That game was definitely a game that I liked to watch a playthrough of more than play it myself. The story is so good! But yeah I didn't think there was enough freedom or "gameplay" if that makes sense.
Beacon Pines is one of my all time favorite games!
Have you've ever played heaven's gate before? I recently finished my first run and I feel like it has a high cozy factor! It's entirely story driven and incredibly interesting
can you please do a video on the best co op games ❤❤
I am *begging* you to play Arise: A Simple Story. You've never talked about it, so I assume you've never played, but it's so so so worth it. ❤
I definitely need to buy bandle tale it looks soo good
Not sure I would call "What remains of Edith Finch" a cozy game, but it is a fantastic experience. Definitely also hope that a lot more people pick up "I was a Teenage Exocolonist", it's one of my favourites.
I don’t mind some creepiness in a cozy game, but I always try to describe it well so others can decide if it fits their idea of cozy
@@Eeowna Definitely good that you're up front about it, yes! That's super helpful. In this case it's less the creepy, and more the sad for me. Some of the stories, and their implications for the different family members, just didn't let me go for quite a while.
But cozy and a bit creepy definitely isn't mutually exclusive. Like a lot of the autumn cozy vibe things can slip into creepy without losing the coziness.
I love your vids :)
Your eyeshadow is very pretty.
Moon is my favorite
Luigi’s Mansion is the whole reason I bought a Switch and it’s fantastic!
Thanks for the information but, I prefer less facecam over the whole video, so I could see the unique preview of the game itself.
Have you played the game OU? It's on sale in the eShop right now but I can't seem to find anyone talking about it on UA-cam 😊
A good Superman game is my most wanted game of all time and sadly I don’t think we will ever get it
I was about to say that i count find "seasalt" chronicles, only an rpg of the same name...but just noticed the name is SALTSEA jaja. I rewind the video too look at the title and still read it as seasalt 😂😂
As a fan of League of Legends, Bandle Tale depicts each of the characters related to Bandle City in a remarkably similar way from the game.
It is LoL! I just always forget to add that to the end of its name haha
