I've spent dozens of time listening to this clip, compared to original version played by Mr.Perlman both live and studio. The violin solo around 1:30 of this clip is even more spicy than original ones. I'd think that the quality of sound recording and violin may have a role. On balance, the violinist in this clip, what is his name?, should be the best candidate for the best Tango, unluckily overshadowed by legendary Itzhak Perlman.

Gardel's masterpiece, I'm not Argentinean or Uruguayan but i feel proud for our sudamerican music. "Por una cabeza" mean literally "for a head" , but contextually the best traducement is "by a horse's head" in the lyrics the singer loses everything in horse races bets.
