I LOVE U @GOLF SIDEKICK. MY GAME HAS IMPROVED SO MUCH AND NOW IAM GOING TO PLAY AN INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE TIPS YOU HAVE GIVEN AND BECAUSE OF YOU IAM NOW PLAYING INTERNATIONAL AS A JUNIOR
The thing I need to work on the most is my confidence. I believe it stems from a combination of attitude and results. Simply Trust, but difficult to earn.
I just broke 80 for the first time yesterday after watching your Breaking 80 hur of power and your triple 6 method. I shot a 77 and didn't play that great. Driver was meh. Irons were decent, and short game was brilliant. I was so close to being about 3-4 strokes less as well. So excited. You have helped my golf game more than anything just being able to think and process things. Way of the Playa.
Same here, if I play alone I rarely hit worse than a bogey. I’m a par bogey every hole kind of golfer, play with my buddy I get yippee chips and pushy on putts. We play a max of triple yesterday playing 18 I had 4 triples 2 doubles.
I must continue to work on myself when I'm not on the course. My golf game, especially the mental part, has improved quite a bit with a better diet and exercise. Thanks for that tip, and all the great videos!
What needs the most work? Just learned to shallow my swing. Been struggling and coming over the top without knowing it for a decade and now it is clicking. Hit the best balls at the range today. So that is what I am going to concentrate and work on. It is a game changer.
Having just spent the past few weeks getting my first ever handicap - What needs the most work in my game is remembering how to have fun playing golf with my mates casually - my brother is flying across the Atlantic to play golf with me for a week and I can't wait! 😁
I feel like I need to work on my MIND WEDGE the most. I get into my head way to much. I have a hard time forgetting previous shots or previous holes. I really need to focus on letting go of what’s already happened and move forward to the best of my ability. Love the videos man.
I find myself in the opposite situation to most golfers, where my short game inside 120 is dialled, but I currently don't have a club I can hit further than 200 yards (driver included)
Love your content, has helped myself and friends improve in the past years. Would like to share that it is my first year teaching at a High School and I am to be the head Golf coach, would love more insight and will continue to learn from your amazing videos!
I face many of the same issues as BDOG. Plenty of length off the tee, but still struggling with approach accuracy. Have broken 80 once this season and knocking on the door a few times but usually between 84 and 86. But its great to see how far his game has come in such a short period
Getting off the tee box and improving my mindset. Having the confidence and ability to forget the “blowup hole” and start over the next hole. Too many times I let that frustration drag on for the next several holes and kills my score!
I'm feeling like a legend from 120 and in...I just need to get there with a bit less stress. I've gone to almost exclusively 3i off the tee and picked up a used 2H and old skool smaller head driver (finally admitting my brain doesn't see a big-ass driver = smoked tee shot). My 12 yr old and me always look forward to a new GolfSideKick video drop - he'd learning the way of the junior playa!
Mental game for sure needs the most work. Fortunately we have the PiC who recently helped me BIG TIME when the pressure was on me to perform. Waddaman, waddaleadda, thanks for making waddadurie
I need to work on my short game the most because I tend to be very inconsistent with my putter but it is a new putter so it’s understandable, I switched to a mallet and am liking it so far
I would say what needs the most work in my game would be my approach shots from 125 and in with those in between and chip shots. Love the videos and you watch to learn how to shave strokes off my game.
Loving these videos, really shows the differences. My biggest issue I am working on is getting off the tee, big issue with topping all my clubs starting most holes on the back foot, starting most holes only about 50 yards down range, slowly getting better but needs more work
Everything, just started back after a 4 year break. I hit driver good (200-220) if I don't hit the ground first, hitting irons solid but not long (example I hit 7I 135 yards- and anything from 180 up is out of range) hit 3 wood about 180. Need to put a lot more time in my short game.
Since I'm a beginner I would say my consistentcy in striking the ball well. I just need to practice more and probably get some lessons to figure out my swing and make a good swing more repeatable. Love the content. Keep up the great work grand masta.
.I need exactly what you talk about in this video! gotta get Par 3 within PW and less. I feel I need to swing easy and work on planning out the miss better. I guess I gotta look for some more geese feathers on the course to plant.
Waddaplaya! Thanks for all of your knowledge! I can feel that I’ll break 80 soon! I’ve recently hit a slump-my tee shots have had a huge hook and my putting had been horrendous, but I’m going to practice these as much as possible and will get back to being the playa I was meant to be!
The part of my game that needs most work is my driver. I tend to spin the ball tremendously with the big stick and it loses so much distance that I wonder why I even have the club in my bag. Seeing you crank your ping write down the slot of the fairway makes me very jealous!
What helped clear this up for me was tilting my torso to the right at address, to encourage an upward attack, and keeping my head behind the ball at impact. Hope this helps, playa
In high school I played quite a lot and would shoot around 75. These days I don’t play nearly as much, so I shoot around 90. The biggest difference between now and then is my chipping and approach shots. If you can get those shots to 6 feet from the pin rather than 12+ feet you’ll save a lot of strokes!
I made my first par last year! To be keeping with up that momentum I think I need to focus on selecting the proper club for the job and learning my ranges for specific clubs rather than just using my favorites.
Unbelievable how easy you make it look but your thought process on how to play is what makes 50% of your score, the other 50% is your smooth strike. What a player. Bdog unlucky in a few but did well on your advice. I need Matt as a caddy! My approach around the green needs work. I can hit a drive 300yards but then take 4 shots to finish the last 50 yards
I have watched BDog in a number of recent vlogs now. I think his chipping around the greens is costing him at least 4 shots per round. He (imho) is using more loft than is required on some of his chips. A little chip with a 9 iron (get it rolling) if practiced, would provide more consistency and get him inside 6-8 feet far more often than trying to use 56 or 60 degree wedges where the leading edge causes knives and chunks. Undoubtedly holing more putts from inside 6 feet is key for me and allied to that cutting out my Italian friend 'Tres Stabborini'. Selecting the right club off the tee on long par-3s, par-4s and par-5s (Driver versus 3-Wood, versus 5-wood). Go with my gut and commit to it, rather than 'hoping' something good will happen without any serious commitment or conviction.
Great video! Mine is remembering to think about aim and direction. I need to get that into my routine. Sometimes I’ll hit a perfect shot 30 yards off target and realise I was probably aiming that way! And also keeping a consistently smooth swing and trust the club choice. The second I try and shape or create a shot, It goes wrong. I’m not a good enough player to do that! (Sorry that’s 2)
I struggle in the 70-30 yard range. I don't typically take full swings with my 53 degree, so that's going to be my focus going forward to try to dial in that distance more. I'm pretty good chipping around the green, in thanks to your recommendation of just using 1 club and becoming a playa with that. I'm pretty good with my gap wedge and taking 3/4 swings.
What need most work in my game, is the approaches and the ability to hit the green from 100+ meters. I bought the Garmin Approach, cuz i thought it gave me the ability to approach - but i still miss greens, and cannot spinzip with my gapwedge - allways hits the green, and bounce over. I really could use that divot golden feather, to fix my marks at least. While i can't stick the green, i most certainly can damage it with my highflying vibing gap wedge. Slamdunk off the green, like a baus! On the good note, my chipping game is stellar - still shooting just below 90' waddalife
Was just starting to work on the 80-100m approaches and then LOCKDOWN! Start again once we're allowed back on the golf course, I guess. Right now it's just ruler drill putting up the hallway and practice ball chipping into a bucket in the backyard.
I was LOLs when you're explaining the green shape as a 'panty liner' and B-Dog is like 'Yep, gotcha'. Great rounds guys. Its nice to see the side by side. Small differences effect the score (
I need to work on my bunker play right now cause it costs me an extra stroke frequently when I'm in bunkers, spent a few months perfecting my club spins at the start of the season and i have them down so I'm onto this next project, maybe by the end i can combine the two.
Most important part of my game to work on is making it to the club early enough to get my commitment head in shape. Might be time for an update video on playa prep.
Number one thing I need to improve is swinging smooth. My distances are very similar to yours. Which is longer than most I play around. For some reason I reach back for that extra when it is not necessary. Bringing OB and penalty strokes into play kills the scorecard. Way of the playa is tough when way of the crusha is in the back of your mind all the time....
Short game, short game, short game. For me it's a feeling you have to have for how the ball will react to the lie and green. The only time in life you want to sweat the small stuff. Thanks for the great videos.
What needs the most work in your game? I think that's a loaded question :-) . Like someone said, if you work too much on your driver then the other shots suffer, if you don't work on your short game then that needs attention, then there's the putter. I say EVERYTHING needs work, but at the moment it's the putting, speed control on longer putts is an issue. Keep up the great work Baus, BDog is making awesome progress! Good to see him enjoying the game more. Your swing looks so relax!!
Round will be going fine, then a little fatigue sets in around the 12th hole, and a cycle of chunk...skull...chunk..skull sets in, concentration cracks, confidence is blown, and the round goes all to scheisse. So yeah, the mental game is where I need to work.
My wayward tee shots at the moment. My game with 150 yards has improved massively due to my large focus on that aspect. I have neglected my long game which was my biggest strength now it’s my biggest weakness
Building consistency with my mid-irons is really what I need to work on. I always make contact, but can't seem to control the flight. Even when I aim, it's like 50/50 on whether or not it's going where I'm looking
I need to improve my iron game right now. I can hit the driver, 3 wood, and 5 wood pretty good for the most part! My wedge and putting game is pretty good but I need to work on not 3 putting and getting it on the green within 120 yards.
Nerves. Especially in competitive play. In chill practise rounds I can get regularly low 70's, but even the smallest pressure completely shanks my game. Been struggling with mental game a long time. It can get very frustrating, especially in short game and putting. Even when I'm hitting it very good, from somewhere the fear of shank just comes. Gets to my head so easily, leads to bad decision making and bad contact. Just have to continue working and playing a lot under pressure. Or then get my buddy to caddie for me in every competition, as it really helps me when I have someone to talk about between shots lol.
What I need to work on mostly right now is paying more attention to the course conditions. We're in a severe drought in my area this year. Conditions vary from course to course depending on on how much irrigation each course uses. I'm too quick to just play a course based on how I played it in the past and end up shooting higher scores than usual because I didn't take conditions into consideration until I was half way through the round. You're going to gain yardage off the tee and with approach shots in dry conditions, greens won't hold the ball as well, greens are a little faster than normal, etc. It's simply a matter of planning the shots better but it's difficult when you're used to hitting an 8 iron 165 and it's consistently finishing at 180 with the extra roll you get from the dry conditions.
I only started golfing this year, but I keep picking my dang front shoulder up. I need to start there. I hit 123 on Saturday, shooting for 115 later today :)
only played 9 so i was hoping to hit 58, hit a 56 :) my best half yet by far. idk why im back here posting this LOL. your how to break 100 videos helped my mindset a ton, i didnt even touch my driver today, just focused on my irons (which i can hit semi-confidently), my wedges and 2 putting. and i met a lovely old couple that im playing with again next tuesday. thank you for the help!!!
This is me all over. If my tempo is right the rest falls into place. Around about 80bpm at 3:1 (full) and 2:1 (chipping) is right for me. Not the fastest swing but I shot my best ever round (91) the other day and it’s been going down since working on TEMPO. The forgotten part of the game I feel
The second shot. It is the approach to the green on par 4s. It's the setup shot on par 5s. It's also the tee shot on par 3s (okay, this one is the first shot, but conceptually, it's the same as the previous examples). This shot, typically 160 yds or less, is the most key. An errant second shot will usually cost me 1-3 shots of recovery. I worked hard on the improvement of my pitching, chipping, and putting last year. I am really focusing on a quality second shot now...
The thing I need to improve the most is the commitment to the shot. Stand behind the ball vision the shot how i want it, then when i address the ball i need to commit to that vision keeping that BDE up!
I have no issues hitting my targets at the range but am losing at least 5-6 strokes a game topping my irons on course. Really need to get my confidence back.
Bro, i have a question, if i am left with 180mtrs(yups, i use meters) to the green, and i know i can hit my hybrid 4 carry 170ish or hybrid 3 180ish...would it be a great idea to play it short, and hope it roll on to the green, or soft hyb3, and drop it on the green..but the trajectory would cause a concern whether it will stop or not..what would you play? or maybe i should mulligan and try both next time 🤦🏻♂️
My short game has always been a strength but after taking 5 years off the game to go racing it is fun getting back, need consistancy, that's my biggest issue right now. Just bought a golf sim to grind over the winter.
What I need to work on is to hit the ball with confidence but know where the miss is, I tend to be aggressive with back pin location and end up a little long and have no green to work with, the miss in that situation is middle of the green.
Having the confidence to make birdie putts. I’m playing my best golf but it seems like every time I get a birdie chance tense up so I hardly ever make one and they are such a score changer.
The biggest thing for me is practicing my long game. I shot 113 yesterday on a par 72, but was only +6 within PW distance. I will often mess up my drive and it will only go 100 yards, so I need to get out on the range to practice hitting it clean and getting the ball in the air more.
Lordy where do I start. My driver has improved but still can be a little wild, mid irons need improvement on accuracy, I take note on your suggestion to chip like a Baus - improvement there will start to bring my score the fastest.
Course management is the part of my game that needs the most work i will be so eager to go for it in two on a par five that I mess up and end with a bogey when it could be an easy par
Lag putts, I work on short puts indoors on my breaks at work and at home but don’t/can’t work on lag put weight/distance. I just don’t have a long stretch of carpeting anywhere. I use much of met warmup time on lag putting before my round but still end up leaven them short or smoking them past the hole during the round. I have to commit to practice that part of my game on the course practice facility.
Spent a lot of time practicing my game from 140 in…great results but now i have no consistency with the driver 😒. Slicing one round to straight pulls the next round. Really need to work on driver now.
My trouble is always on the tee off shot, sometimes I crack it right down the middle other times slice to the right and now & then a left hook. I never know which one I am going to get of the tee box.
I still struggle to find the club that works for me every time off the tee at an 11 HCP. If my driver is feeling off, I'll go for my 4 iron but if my driver is failing me it's usually a timing thing in my swing rather than a mindset issue that would be fixed by clubbing down. What do you do to build your consistency in striking?
my 175+ game is still inconsistent. Some days all it takes is a 5 iron, and others I need the 3wood. My driver is fickle but my recovery and short game puts me at ease if I hit a bad tee shot.
The biggest thing my game needs is getting over the mental block of taking a divot out of the fairway. Somewhere along the way I must have taken too big of one and that has me gun-shy. I feel like I'm always hesitant in hitting, avoiding compressing and trapping the ball. My shots off of great drives are usually poor follow ups.
The part of my game I need to work on right now is my 100-120 yard shot, my 50 degree goes about 115 and my 56 goes 90 so I need some finesse. Also fixing divots on the green is a grind with this plastic tee but I make it work lol
What i need most work on? Striking the ball first. Ball striking is, in my eyes, the most important key to golf. If your striking the ball well, then you can really start improving your swing and swing mechanics around it. 👍🏽
I need to work on getting all my tools working at once. What I mean is if my putting is on fire I won’t be able to chip or if my driver is going straighter and longer then DeChambeau, my irons will be dog shit. Is that normal for a 85-95 player?
It’s weird how as I get better my 52 56 and 60 all seem to go the same distance. Do I lose a club or am I possibly swinging too hard? It makes simple approach shots nearly impossible to manage because my 52 wants to fly like an eagle and go 125 when it used to go 95.
Confidence in my approach shot after a good tee shot. Often get in my own head knowing that I hit a good tee shot and want to follow it up with a great strike only to overthink things and hit a bad ball.
125 yards and in needs the most work in my game. I have dialed in the P Wedge this year. Hitting a full 56 or gap wedge gets me into trouble. I certainly have not been able to play those shots within the par 3 system. The strokes gained from 125 yards and in are the difference between 85 and 75 for me.
The biggest thing that needs to improve in my game is learning my misses and why they happen. So many times I will go play and try to fix my swing with a club that isn't working after watching a random UA-cam video and still not figuring it out.

Needing to eliminate the one or two blowup holes in an otherwise great round.
I honestly think this is the Achilles heel for mid 80s guys. I have 1 or 2 "blow up" holes per round. Without those I'd be sub 80 almost every time.
Same here, if I play alone I rarely hit worse than a bogey. I’m a par bogey every hole kind of golfer, play with my buddy I get yippee chips and pushy on putts. We play a max of triple yesterday playing 18 I had 4 triples 2 doubles.
was just having a sip of tea when you said "right in the middle of the pantie liner" I had to spit my tea out
I must continue to work on myself when I'm not on the course. My golf game, especially the mental part, has improved quite a bit with a better diet and exercise. Thanks for that tip, and all the great videos!
My mental game. I have the skill to be a scratch golfer, but I over analyze everything and get in my own way...that’s why I’m watching you!
I love you guys so much. The teaching, the wisdom, the banter ... lord, it makes me happy. :) Never stop never stopping.
Your videos are great for thinking about shots first! Working on a consistent go to 200yd club as a driver backup thanks to your advice. Thank you.
Hmm. Its a close tie between hitting my 52⁰ wedge correctly within 100 yards, or my ability to find feathers on the course to plant. Nice round guys

definitely inside 120 yds. love the "everything is a par 3" mindset from that distance
the type of divot tool i use and the merchandise i wear
I find myself in the opposite situation to most golfers, where my short game inside 120 is dialled, but I currently don't have a club I can hit further than 200 yards (driver included)
I wish i had short game like that, anything outside of 150 yards is dialed, but i always leave a wedge in because i am so comfortable with my driver.
I'm with you here. I feel DIALED under 120. Anything over 160+ I'm absolutely horrid

Same for me but tacking on the putter as well.
So only putting a you’re good at 🤣
@@lukesurtees2211 pretty much 😂😂
Welcome to the game of golf! Haha love it!
Honestly, that's when the putting stroke will leave you. Golf.

Short game, short game, short game. For me it's a feeling you have to have for how the ball will react to the lie and green. The only time in life you want to sweat the small stuff. Thanks for the great videos.
holy shit the production on this video is amazing love it
What needs the most work in your game?
Hey Matt-
In USD, how much is a round with a caddie here at these clubs you play? This really looks like a hidden gem of different golf clubs.
Including caddie and buggy about 91USD
Need to work on my long irons and determine which clubs I hit most consistently.
Matt, I've learned from you that I need to work on my shirt game 👕 lol everything else on the course doesn't matter. Stress free Playa!
Great to see you at Black mountain 🏔. Are most Thailand courses open? Is there anyone there?
I only started golfing this year, but I keep picking my dang front shoulder up. I need to start there. I hit 123 on Saturday, shooting for 115 later today :)
only played 9 so i was hoping to hit 58, hit a 56 :) my best half yet by far. idk why im back here posting this LOL. your how to break 100 videos helped my mindset a ton, i didnt even touch my driver today, just focused on my irons (which i can hit semi-confidently), my wedges and 2 putting. and i met a lovely old couple that im playing with again next tuesday. thank you for the help!!!
Having the correct tempo, it determines my gameplay and mindset
This is me all over. If my tempo is right the rest falls into place. Around about 80bpm at 3:1 (full) and 2:1 (chipping) is right for me. Not the fastest swing but I shot my best ever round (91) the other day and it’s been going down since working on TEMPO. The forgotten part of the game I feel
Great video Matt! Love seeing the difference maker breakdown on each hole.
@8:14 thought I was watching last video for a minute... did the same thing in the last video at @3:55... carts and caddy in the same spot too lol
Bro, i have a question, if i am left with 180mtrs(yups, i use meters) to the green, and i know i can hit my hybrid 4 carry 170ish or hybrid 3 180ish...would it be a great idea to play it short, and hope it roll on to the green, or soft hyb3, and drop it on the green..but the trajectory would cause a concern whether it will stop or not..what would you play? or maybe i should mulligan and try both next time 🤦🏻♂️
My struggle is GIOTG from 195-75. I am starting to play a short course (mostly par 3's) to improve this
Really trying to dial in those 100-135 yard shots to GIOTG. Find I'm really missing opportunities getting to putt after shots from that range.
My short game has always been a strength but after taking 5 years off the game to go racing it is fun getting back, need consistancy, that's my biggest issue right now. Just bought a golf sim to grind over the winter.
4:46 is the best thing I’ve seen in a while
My outfits need some work, gotta get the sidekick merch going !
What I need to work on is to hit the ball with confidence but know where the miss is, I tend to be aggressive with back pin location and end up a little long and have no green to work with, the miss in that situation is middle of the green.
Cool video.
Can you make one about where the difference is between 120 and 110?
Did we not see this round already or am I having wild dejavu playa?!!
I thought so too...
*my
I need to work on consistency and making solid contact with the ball. That means eliminating stress first! Then I can break 💯!
What part of my game needs the most help? My driver - soon followed by a 60- 75 yd approach
Knowing the carry and run out yardages of all my clubs on different surfaces and conditions
The courses look awesome in Thailand are they expensive?
The biggest thing my game needs is getting over the mental block of taking a divot out of the fairway. Somewhere along the way I must have taken too big of one and that has me gun-shy. I feel like I'm always hesitant in hitting, avoiding compressing and trapping the ball. My shots off of great drives are usually poor follow ups.
My pace control for my putting and the 70 yard bunker shot
I need to stop navigating around a course telling myself what I shouldn’t be doing! Focus on the positives and be the inner playa I can be!
It’s weird how as I get better my
52 56 and 60 all seem to go the same distance.
Being comfortable over the ball. Play 2/3 times a week and still get the occasional jitters when hitting a shot I am confident in. Keep going playas
